Lennon and McCartney songs recorded by other artists:
Up to April 1968 there had been over 1,000 different recordings of Lennon–McCartney songs made by other singers, groups, orchestras or bands. The most popular was ‘Yesterday’, which had been recorded by 119 different artists, ranging from Pat Boone, Johnny Mathis and Connie Francis to Kenneth McKellar, the Big Ben Banjo Band and the Band of the Irish Guards.
