Breaking Through (The Breaking Series Book 3) (42 page)

“Are you going to stare at me, or are you going to make love to me?”

Man, I almost lost it. Instead, I pulled her pants and panties off, then my pants and boxers, and threw one of the blankets over us.

I positioned myself over her, just right, and she grasped my hips, pulling me to her. I held on, letting her feel my hard on before entering her. She gasped as my erection rubbed on her clit.

“If I hurt you, if you want me to stop, please just say the word and I’ll stop.”

She cocked her head at me, a mischievous glint in her eyes. “I thought we went over this already. Don’t stop.” She tugged hard at me and I groaned.

Slowly, I pressed my erection into her entrance. “By the way,” I said, a little out of breath. “I love you too.”

I slid inside her. Eyes closed, she half-gasped and half-moaned, and went still when I had buried myself in her. Damn, she was so fucking wet, so fucking tight. I wanted to move, to thrust against her, but I fought against myself and held still, giving her time to get used to me.

“Are you okay?” I asked.

She nodded. “Just give me a minute.”

“Hil, look at me.” Slowly, she opened her eyes and stared into mine. “Are you okay?”

“I am,” she whispered, her voice breaking.

“Why are you almost crying?”

“Because …” She inhaled deeply. “Because there were moments in the past when I didn’t think I would ever scratch the last item off my fear list.”

“What is the last item?”

“To fall in love, and to give myself, body and soul, to the guy who loved me too.”

I smiled, feeling proud I was that guy. “I do love you, you know. So very much. Sorry it took me so long to tell you that.”

A tear fell from her eyes and I licked it, and then slid my lips over her cheek until I closed my mouth on hers. She laughed before molding her lips to mine and kissing me slow and deep.

She wiggled her hips, taking me deeper, and then I lost it. Groaning, I started moving. With every ounce of my being, I tried to be gentle and slow, but it was too damn hard. She felt so perfect against me, her skin smelling so sweet and feeling so hot, her sounds so inciting, so addicting. After a few moments, I had to push harder, drive deeper. And she seemed to be okay with it. Well, judging by her moans and the way she dug her nails on my hips, pulling me to her, I would say she was more than okay with it.

It had been so long since I had had sex, and even though I had jerked off a few times in the last few months—always thinking of Hilary and this moment with her—it wasn’t the same. Besides, this wasn’t having sex. This was making love. It was so much better, and because of that, I wouldn’t last long.

“Hil, I …” I tried to warn her, so she wouldn’t be disappointed with me.

“What?” she asked breathlessly. She captured the tip of my ear in her teeth and flicked her tongue on my skin, singeing me down my neck. Cursing, I drove deep and hard one, two, three more times, and she let out a sexy little moan each time. That was my undoing.

My feelings, my sensations, everything exploded inside me and around me as I came—the hardest and most divine climax I had ever had. Gripping her hips, I buried my face on her neck, and she wound her arms and legs around me as my body quivered over hers.

Slowly, the trembles faded, and I propped myself up on one elbow to look into her eyes.

“Are you okay?” I asked.

She was smiling. “I’m perfect.”

That was true. I smiled back at her and ran my fingers along the side of her face, brushing aside a few strands of her hair. “I meant it. You know, before.” I swallowed. “
Eu te amo
.”

Eu tamb
é
m te amo,
” she answered in Portuguese.

I raised an eyebrow. “Did you practice that?”

“Maybe.”

Damn, Hilary had planned this entire evening to the millisecond. Leo’s urgent call, bringing my horse here, the red path, the picnic blanket and fireplace and the food we still hadn’t touched, being ready for me, and even saying she loved me in Portuguese. She was too good for me, too perfect, too everything. I didn’t deserve her, but I sure as hell would try to because I was too damn crazy about her.

I brushed a slow, sensual kiss on her lips, and incredible or not, my body started answering hers already. Oh, if she let me, we would have a second round, but while I recovered, we could do something else.

“So, what do you got over there?” I jerked my chin to the picnic basket.

“Besides the lingerie I was planning on wearing for the second round?”

I laughed out loud. “
Meu Deus
, you’re perfect.” I buried my face on her neck again, enjoying snuggling with her.

She ran her hand through my hair. “No, but I’m hoping I’ll be perfect enough for you.”

“You already are, Hil. Too damn perfect for me.”
