Fin & Matt (16 page)

“Your brand new job is
boring
?”

“No,” he admitted.  “It was crazy and exciting… but tonight?  I want to listen to you read the Attitude comments section aloud in your embarrassing British accent.  I want to rub your feet while you discuss whether something is hot or not.”

“I have an incredible British accent.  Also, I do talk about important stuff, you know.”

“What are you reading?”

I looked down at the newest GQ on the countertop.  “Hemingway,” I teased.

“Is he a reviewer for Fashion Week?”

“I hate you.”  I smiled at his voice.  “What are you doing right now?”

“Talking to you,” he responded with a sigh.

“Smart ass.  Did you go out?”

“Nope.  Just got takeout from some Cajun place.  They had this bread with some sort of orange-like butter.  It was ridiculous.”

“I’m starving,” I replied.  “I ran out of eggs.”

“Baby, go downstairs and get some.”

“The market’s closed and I don’t want to put on a coat.”

“Wow,” he said with a laugh.  “For a man in his early-twenties, you are literally the laziest motherfucker I know.”

“Yep.”

“There
are
other things to eat besides eggs and tortillas.”

Are
there?  Not interested.”  I opened the refrigerator and peered in at the empty shelves.  “Actually, there aren’t.  I haven’t shopped and we only have hot sauce and cheese.”

“I love you,” he whispered.

“Despite my lack of cooking skills.”

“What have the other teachers said?  Have you heard any good gossip?”

I picked at my cuticles.  I
had
heard a few things.  Eden wasn’t quite the friend we had thought.  Everyone knew and not every comment was flattering.  Apparently, Matt had been straight until he’d met me, forever changing his heterosexual life course.  The homo home wrecker, I was.

“Nope.  Everything’s great.  Besides, you’re gone and I only have another four days to put up with any vicious rumors.  Art has been so great though.  I mean, he lost two of his teachers in one day.  I feel like I should have given him a longer notice.”

“He understands, honey,” Matt mumbled through an audible yawn.

“You tired?”

“Yeah.  Exhausted.”

“I’ll let you go, okay?  Think of me tonight when you’ve got your hand down your pants,” I teased.

“Who says I don’t have it down there now?”  He choked on a short laugh.  “I can’t wait to see you Friday.”

“Me too.  I can’t wait to spend the night in our new house together.”

“I’m the luckiest man alive.”

Wednesday night was saved for Emily.  We played cards in our sweatpants and ordered pizza from PW.  She swooned over our upcoming nuptials and insisted on being the flower girl.

Thursday night was spent with my parents.  Tears were shed; I won’t say by whom.

But at five-after-four on Friday, my car was packed and heading east toward my new city.

Toward Matt.

I listened to three podcasts, two playlists on Spotify, and nearly thirty minutes of my own silence before I pulled into the long driveway of our new home.  It looked even more beautiful at night, low lights coming up from the earth to showcase our pristine, manicured rosebushes.

Not even bothering with my overnight bag, I locked the car and quickly turned the key.  Peering into the living room, I saw Matt’s unmoving foot sticking out over the worn, leather arm of our new sofa.  I tiptoed over to get a look, his mouth slightly agape in slumber.  He looked sexier than ever, with just a pair of snug warm-up pants sitting low on his bare hips.  I studied the line of dark hair traveling up from his waistband to his navel as he moved slightly, involuntarily flexing the muscles in his core.

Unable to help myself, I lowered to my knees and ran my fingers over that hair before palming over the soft bulge in his cotton pants.  My lips ghosted over a nipple as he slowly started to come around.

“Fin?” he mumbled lazily.

I kissed lower, tugging at his waistband with my teeth.  “Who else would it be?”  Bolting up, I teased, “No, seriously, who else would it be?”

He laughed and pulled me down into a fierce kiss.  “God, I missed you.  Tell me everything.”

“Well… let’s see.”  I sat next to him and snuggled in as he pressed his lips to my forehead.  “Emily broke up with Kenny again, my mom signed up for a belly dancing class, and my dad bought a new boat.”

“Wow, all that since Wednesday?”

“Yep.  The boat is fucking ridiculous.  I went to the marina with him to help pick it out.  But, the good news is, he said we could have the old boat.”

“Seriously?” he asked.  “What did you say?”

“I told him that we were landlocked and that we didn’t need a boat.”

“Good boy.”  He twirled his fingers into my hair and pulled me back for a soft kiss.  “Come see what I’ve done with the master.”

I followed him into our new room.  “It looks the same,” I replied, looking around at our new (used) furnishings.

He pushed me onto the mattress with a bounce and tugged at the waistband of his pants, sliding them down his legs before taking a few gentle strokes up and down his hardening cock.  Quickly grabbing my t-shirt at the hem, I lifted it and tossed it over the side of the bed, fumbling with the button of my jeans.

“Let me.”  Matt came close, his nimble fingers slowly lowering my zipper before gripping the sides of my waistband.  One smooth glide and they were gone, leaving me breathless and wanting him.

His kiss was bruising, sucking at my lips like a starved man.  My balls literally ached when he moved lower, licking the hollow of my throat.  He sucked the skin with a loud pop as he desperately wrapped his arms around my waist, pressing our bodies together tightly.  Grinding his thick cock against mine nearly caused my vision to blur.  “Matt…”

“I want you so fucking much,” he whispered.  “Do you want me?”

I breathed heavily – barely able to form words – as I kissed him with frenzied lips.  “God, yes.”

Matt reached into the bedside table and produced a bottle of lubricant, quickly snicking the cap with his thumb and squirting some into his hand before readying himself.

“I can’t believe I finally get to feel you… all of you.”  His voice was pure sex as he pushed two fingers inside of my waiting body.

I winced before the intrusion quickly turned pleasurable.  “Mmm, that’s
right
.  You let me clumsily ruin your first time and never got a turn,” I answered, arching my back as he stroked me lazily.  “Oh fuck, that’s good.”

He dislodged his fingers and laid his entire body weight against mine, nearly crushing the breath from my lungs.  His hips lifted a few inches, giving me relief before he entered me in one long push.

“My God,” he groaned, closing his eyes.  He stilled for a long moment.

Long enough for me to ask, “What’s the matter?”

“Absolutely nothing.”  He thrust forward, bottoming out as I let out an inhuman grunt of satisfaction.  “Never… fucking… better.”

He bucked his hips wildly as a bead of sweat rolled from his neck down his chest.  I caught it with my tongue, licking the salt from his skin.  Sparks of pleasure rolled through my spine as he gripped my backside, grinding his hips into mine.  Quickly rolling over onto his back, he lifted me up as I straddled him, rotating my hips in a circular pattern until he was fully seated inside of me.

“Fuck… oh, God,” he mumbled.  “You’re gonna kill me.”

His thumbs stroked my hipbones as I moved against him, every other stroke brushing my prostate as I moaned uncontrollably, almost violent with need.  When he reached down to grip my sensitive shaft, I gave an emphatic groan before immediately releasing a hefty thread of cum onto his trembling abs.  Throwing my head back, I shuddered as he milked the remains of my orgasm from my spent body.

“Fin…” he muttered, following with his own release seconds later.  His hips came off of the mattress, filling me with his hot seed as I felt his muscle twitch with each burst.  “Oh my God.”

In true Matt fashion, he laughed before swatting the tops of my thighs with his flattened palms.

“Ow,” I complained, lowering to give him a brief kiss.

He lifted up onto his elbows and gave me a wide grin.  “Welcome home, baby.”

“I got you a present,” Matt whispered, stroking his fingers across my back.

“Well, I’ve only seen the living room and the mattress since I’ve been home.  Where is it?”

“Get dressed and you’ll find out.”

“Ugh,” I groaned.  “It’s so warm in here.”

“You’ll like it, I promise.  I mean, at least I
hope
you will.”

I sat up and nabbed my underwear from the floor, pulling them on.  “Okay, let’s see this big present.”

He held my hand, leading me down the hallway and into my new office.  The room was painted a beautiful shade of gray, a vast improvement over the sunburst orange the previous owners had chosen.  There, against the north-facing wall, was a brand new Kawai upright piano in polished ebony with a matching duet bench.

“Holy shit,” I murmured, gravitating toward the keys.  “How did you…?”

He shrugged his shoulders.  “I got a bonus when I signed.  I wanted you to have this.  I saw it and thought of you.”

“You just
saw
it?” I questioned.  “They don’t sell these at the mall, babe.”

“Okay, I looked for it.  I asked around.  I wanted to find one that fit you.  Do you like it?  The guy said—”

I pressed a long, wet kiss to his lips.  “I love it, Matt.  Thank you so much.”

“Play something for me?”

I sat at the bench, cracking my knuckles before placing them on the keys.

He sat down beside me, tracing a single finger down my spine.  “Your mom hates that, you know.”

“I know,” I replied with a smile.  “She’s not here though.”

I teased him with a few bars of
Piano Man
before drifting into Bach’s
The Well-Tempered Clavier
.

He whispered in my ear as I played.  “I love you more in this moment than I ever thought possible.”  As I continued the piece, his lips touched my shoulder gently.  “I’m spoiled by you.”

“I got you something too,” I responded, continuing to look down at the keys.

“A new car?” he asked in jest.  “Oh, wait, you already did that.”

I smiled, ignoring his remark.  “No… it’s in my bag, but I left it in the car.”

“Don’t go yet… play some more.”

My fingers slowed, playing at half tempo.  “How did you like it?  The fancy new car,” I teased.

“It’s actually pretty fucking great,” he said with a laugh.  “Who knew sports cars were so fun?”

“Um… everyone.  That’s why so many people have them.”

“The seat rumbles… like seriously hums.  My dick got kind of hard.”

I smiled shyly.  “Yeah?”

“Mmm hmm.”  He bumped his shoulder against mine.  “You gonna come to the game on Sunday?  The seats they give us are amazing.  Two for every game.  I can get a few more though if your parents come some weekend.  People from the team forfeit the tickets all the time.”

I paused my playing and turned toward him.  “Will you sit with me?”

“I can’t, babe.  I’m working.”

“Oh, yeah, sure.  I’m sorry.  That’s a dumb question.”  I didn’t want to go alone.  Everyone in that box would know I knew nothing about football.  Hopefully, after going to every home game, I’d start to catch on.

“It’s not dumb.  I’d love to watch the game with you.  We should do something fun afterward though, don’t you think?”

“Yeah, of course.  Let me go grab my bag.”

He kissed me, opening his mouth to deepen the embrace, licking across my teeth.  “Let me get it.”

“It’s in the red Jack Spade,” I called after him.  “Actually, bring the black one too.”

A few minutes later, Matt came back in, strapped with five bags.  “You have four black ones.”

I dug inside of the red one, looking for the small box.  It was suddenly embarrassing, not knowing if he would appreciate my surprise.  Taking a breath, I handed him the blue box as he looked at me with confusion.

“My ring?” he asked, cocking an eyebrow.

“Yeah, but… just open it.”

He took the top off and cracked open the box, lifting his ring from the center.  “Fin,” he whispered, looking inside at the engraving.  “I don’t know what to say.”

“Do you like it?  Now I feel dumb.”

I had taken the rings back earlier in the week to have them engraved.

His with my name.  Mine with his.

“I love it.”  He slid the ring onto his finger.  “I don’t want to take it off.  Do I have to?”
