“First of all, young lady, I think you should lower your voice. Second, you cannot go by what those two old men say. They are reminiscing about times when they could do things that they can no longer do. Third, why are you so worked up about it? He's your boss. It’s not like the two of you have something for each other.” Keeara’s eyes widened at the last sentence. “Oh I see. So you do have a thing for him. Tell me, does he feel the same way? What did he say when he found out who you were?”

“Yes, he feels the same I would think. And I don’t know what he thinks because I left.”

“Keeara, you need to call him and apologize for being rude. He's your boss now. Time to face the music, honey.” Lynn hid the grin as she walked away. She hadn’t seen that much fire in her daughter in a long time and didn’t care who the hell it was that did it as long as Keeara was happy, but she had a funny feeling that her daughter was facing a long and hard road ahead of her. As she sighed, she walked into the kitchen to pull out the cookies she had made for the kids.

Her life had changed so much over the last decade or two. She remembered how she had been in her daughter's shoes all those years ago. If it hadn’t been for the stubborn streak her husband had, she wouldn’t be where she is now. She had been so determined to have a career in the beginning. That was, until she had Scott. When she held him in her arms she knew that no other job would be satisfying. She wanted more children and a family. She had given up her career and stayed home with her children. It was the most exciting and rewarding career she could have ever thought imaginable. When her first grandchild had been born it had gotten even better. She got to spoil them rotten then send them home to their parents. She thought about Lewis and knew he had trials to face later on in life and hoped that she would be there to help her daughter through them. He was an exceptionally bright child but his social awkwardness would deter him if he let it. She knew with the family he was born into though that he would have all the support he could ever need.

Keeara stretched and looked over at her clock. It read 9 o’clock. She had stayed up late reading. She was normally a morning person but she was feeling lazy that day. She walked down the hall into the kitchen and grabbed a cup just as her mother walked in.

“Shouldn’t you be at work?”

“I told you, Mom. I can’t work with that man.”

“Well, didn’t you at least call him?”At her sheepish look, her mother glared at her. “Keeara, I taught you better than that. Now who is looking like the bad one?” Keeara nodded as she scooted from the table towards her room. She was glad her parents had added onto the house. They had decided to keep her grandfather in the room he had shared with her grandmother. They then built on three more rooms, one being a master suite that her parents shared. She looked on the night stand and picked up her phone. There were five missed calls from the same number.

Scrolling down, she saw three text messages and read through them.

“You need to come in so we can talk.” “Damn it answer your phone.” “Fine if you won’t respond then I will come to get you.”

Shit. He was coming here. She looked in the mirror and then threw on her jeans and tank top. She would go riding so she wouldn’t be there when he got there. She had just gotten on her horse and was galloping away when she saw the dust coming from a car down the drive.

Chapter 6

Craig was pissed. The little hellcat didn’t even respond to him. Well he would find her and bring her back if he had to drag her kicking and screaming. He pulled up to the huge house and admired it. He gently knocked on the door. A very pretty woman opened the door and smiled at him sweetly. She looked remarkably similar to Keeara and he knew she had to be her mother.

“Mrs. Murray? Hi, I am Craig Jenkins. I’m looking for Keeara.”

“Yes, Mr. Jenkins, it is good to meet you.” Her smile was genuine as she shook his hand. This woman apparently didn’t have the same thoughts about the Jenkins as her daughter did. If he remembered correctly, his Uncle Willie had shot her and she shook his hand like he was just a normal person.

Lynn looked the man over. He was extremely handsome and looked to be fit too. If she was a little younger and not taken, she might just give her daughter a run for her money. Just then, Josh walked onto the porch.

“Whadya’ say your name was?”

“Craig Jenkins sir.”

“I guess you’re looking for my daughter then?”

Craig visibly gulped as he looked at the man. He was muscular and looked to still be fit although he had a grown daughter. “Yes, sir.”

“Well, can you ride?”

“Yes, sir.”

“I thought so. I have a horse saddled for you. If you’re looking for my daughter, she went towards the north. It was her favorite spot as a kid.”

“Thank you, sir.” Craig was glad he had worn jeans to work. Walking over, he gently petted the large black stallion and talked quietly to it. Grabbing the reins, he swung up into the saddle and pointed the horse to the north. Nodding his head at the man and woman, he said quickly, “It was nice meeting you both.” They nodded as he took off in a gallop towards where Keeara had run off to.

Craig kept riding until he heard a horse up ahead. He came to a clearing that had two huge trees overhanging the blue water of the lake. Quickly dismounting, he let his horse graze freely as he walked up to the woman who had her back to him. She turned around and her eyes got big as she saw him walking towards her.

“What the hell are you doing here?” Then it dawned on her. “I’m going to kill my father.”

“Why, he just pointed me in the right direction.”

“And let you use Night Wind. What do you want?” His gaze roamed her body up and down and then he quirked an eyebrow at her. At her flush he chuckled. “Go away, damn it. Didn’t you get the hint?”

“Oh I got more than a hint on top of my desk.” He had reached her by then and grabbed her by the arms, bringing her face to face with him. “Don’t you know it’s rude to run out on someone like that? I could spank you.”

“No you won’t and you had better let me go right now. Put me down, dammit.” He let her slide down his body and he saw her eyes widen when she felt his dick press against her. “Yeah I’m hard. All I have to do is look at you and those gorgeous breasts of yours. I want to bury my face in them and suck your nipples until they point at me.”

She was breathless when her feet finally touched the ground. “Stop.”

“Stop what? Telling you what I want to do to you? Cause, honey, there is a lot more where that came from.” He gently touched the side of her face and lowered his mouth to take her lips with his own in a sweet kiss. It was gentle and soft and she couldn’t help the moan that escaped. She was suddenly crushed to him and his lips devoured her own. Before she knew what she was doing, she was kissing him back.

Grabbing the back of her head, he held her still for the onslaught of his mouth before he kissed his way down her neck. She felt the cool air touch her skin as he removed her tank top. She realized that she hadn’t worn a bra since the tank top had one built into it.

Before she could utter a word, his lips were on her breasts kissing the sides and sucking her nipples into his mouth. He gently nipped at the underside and, instead of pushing him away, she was holding his head and pulling him closer. Craig swiftly discarded the rest of her clothes and his shirt as he laid her on the soft grass. She should be pushing him away but her body had a mind of its own. He kissed along her stomach and gently bit the inside of her thigh.

“Don’t move.” His voice was gruff and firm as he gently spread her legs. She was completely bare and he groaned at the thought of how she would taste. He wasn’t able to stop himself from stroking along the crease of her thigh between her legs. He stuck his tongue along the crease that met her thigh. At her gasp, he murmured against her thigh how beautiful she was and took a long swipe along her slit. Opening her lips, he saw that sweet little bud and applied pressure with his thumb. She was breathing rapidly and moaning as he slipped a finger inside her. She was wet as could be and he smiled when he thought of how good it felt to be inside her. His tongue picked up a pace as it slowly slipped inside her and then retreated. Her body was turning this way and that underneath him. Slowly his finger entered her again as his tongue and mouth began licking and nipping at her from all around. He slowly slid a second and then a third finger inside her and thrust in and out of her faster and faster. Finally she felt him suck her clit into his mouth just as he found that spot inside her. Her whole body pulsated from her volcanic orgasm as she rode the waves over and over bursting with pleasure. She opened her eyes to see him over her and felt him slide inside her. She could feel herself stretching to accommodate his size and moaned again.

Craig suddenly flipped to his back, bringing her up over him and straddling him. She eased herself onto him until he was fully inside her. He squeezed her ass and brought her up off of him and then eased her back down. Slowly, he did this over and over, watching her eyes change colors and her hair fall around them like a cocoon. She placed her hands on his chest as she started to move faster and faster. With her head tilted back and her breasts thrust forward, she looked amazing as she rode him faster and faster. His hands caressed her ass and squeezed her cheeks, moving them open and closed and he slammed her back down on him over and over as he thrust upwards. When he didn’t think he could hold back anymore, he felt her constrict around him and let himself go.

Keeara lay on Craig’s chest for minutes afterward. He gently caressed her back and ran circles on it with his hands.

“We can’t do this again. I think it's best if you find someone else.” She sat up and looked down at him. He was still inside her and he glared up at her.

“There is nobody else. Don’t you think there would have been someone there before and this damn sure is going to happen again.”

“I can’t.”

“Why? Because of my last name? Well, let me tell you something. The past is the past, and we're living in the present.”

“Fine.” She stood up and started getting dressed. “I will work for you but that,” she pointed at his penis that laid against his stomach, “stays in your damn pants. Got it?”

“Fine! I don’t want someone who doesn’t want me back.”

“Good then.”

“Good. But just ask yourself one thing tonight while you're alone in bed.”

“And what the hell is that?”

“Is a family feud worth pushing away something that could be great? Especially one that happened hundreds of years ago. Wouldn’t it be nice to just let go just once?” He pulled on his jeans as he turned and saw the guilty expression on her face. “That’s what I thought. You may point at me like I'm the culprit, but you wanted it just as much as I did.” He stormed off and mounted the horse, running it swiftly back to the ranch and his car.

Keeara knew he was right but couldn’t get herself to accept exactly who he was. And there was also Jonathan in the back of her mind. She knew her husband would have wanted her to be happy, but for some reason she felt guilty for feeling such a strong attraction to Craig. Sure, she had been attracted to her husband and loved him with every fiber of her being but something compelled her to Craig.

There was this irresistible passionate magnetism. She could feel this tangible pull towards him and she wasn’t sure how she going to fight it if she worked with him.

Chapter 7

Keeara walked into Sam’s bar and looked around. It looked the same as she remembered it. The lights were dim as she looked over the restaurant from the small hostess podium they had put in a few years ago. There were more tables and booths and the place looked more like a restaurant than a bar. There was a sign over the saloon style doors that said, "Bar Room." She smiled as a young blonde came to the podium.

“Hello. Can I ask how many there are in your party please?”

“There’s just me but can I sit at the bar?”

“Sure. Go ahead. It's first come first serve. Just walk right in.”

“Okay. Thanks.” She walked through the swinging doors and the old bar was there. It looked like maybe they had just added onto the restaurant and kept the bar the same. She looked over the bar and took a seat. An old man from the end of the bar turned and smiled at her.

“Look at that. Little Miss Keeara all grown up. Come over here, girl, and give Ole Sam a hug.”

Keeara turned at the voice and her face split out in a grin. Sam was just a few years younger than her grandfather and was still in good shape as well. His long hair was still pulled back in a ponytail but it had faded over the years and turned silver in color. His bulking frame was still the same although there were a few extra wrinkles here and there. He wore his famous jeans and white T-shirt. She didn’t think she had ever seen him in anything other than that ensemble. She hugged him back when she was enveloped into his huge frame. He turned towards the back door just as a tall man came through the door. She recognized the man instantly.
