Slow Cooker Maple Brown Sugar Ham

 

Prepare the ham in the slow cooker than the traditional oven. Rub the meat in the mixture of the maple syrup, brown sugar, and pineapple juice. Cook it in the crock-pot for a few hours and enjoy the delicious recipe over the table with family.

 

 

Ingredients:

 

  1. Spiral cut ham – 8 pounds
  2. Dark brown sugar – 1 cup
  3. Pure maple syrup – ½ cup
  4. Pineapple juice – 2 cups

Directions:

 

  1. Unwrap the ham and remove the flavor packet. Place the ham in the slow cooker with the flat side facing down.
  2. Add brown sugar, pineapple juice, and maple syrup.
  3. Cover the cooker and cook for five hours with the setting at low.
  4. Moisten the ham with the collected juices from the cooker, before serving. 
  5. Rest the ham on a cooking board for ten minutes before carving.

Crock Pot Roast Chicken

 

Preparing a whole roast chicken in the slow cooker is surprisingly simple. Brush olive oil and spices across the bird and place it in the cooker. Arrange the cooker to low and allow it to cook for eight hours.

 

 

Ingredients:

 

  1. Whole chicken with giblets and neck removed – 4lb
  2. Melted butter – 2 tablespoons
  3. Extra virgin oil – 2 tablespoons
  4. Paprika – 1 tablespoon
  5. Garlic powder – 1 tablespoon
  6. Salt – 2 teaspoons
  7. Onion powder – 1 teaspoon
  8. Black pepper – ½ teaspoon
  9. Foil sheets ripped and crumpled into medium size balls – 6

 

Directions:

 

  1. Place the foil balls in the slow cooker.
  2. Dry the chicken and remove fat if necessary.
  3. Add extra virgin oil, butter and spices in a bowl. Stir well.
  4. Brush the mix-up over the chicken and place it with the breast side facing up the pot.
  5. Cover the cooker and cook for seven hours with the setting at low. Ensure that the meat is tender before switching off.
  6. Serve hot with added vegetables as a side dish.

Blueberry Lemon Cake

 

The soy-free and gluten-free recipe is a perfect dessert to end a meal. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl and wet components in another bowl. Mix well and cook in the slow cooker for 80 minutes.

  1. Whole wheat pastry flour (gluten free) – ½ cup
  2. Stevia Plus – ¼ teaspoon
  3. Agave nectar or any sweetener – 1 teaspoon

  6. Blueberries – ¼ cup
  7. Ground flaxseeds mixed with warm water – 1 teaspoon

    Lemon extract – ¼ teaspoon

 

Directions:

 

  1. Spray the cooking oil in the cooker and spread the parchment paper evenly.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients in one bowl and the wet ingredients in another.
  3. Combine both the dry and wet elements until combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the slow cooker and spread evenly.
  5. Place a cooking towel between the lid and the cooker housing. The cloth absorbs the condensation. Cook the recipe for 160 minutes on low and 80 minutes on high setting.
  6. Serve hot and add icing sugar for decoration. 

Slow Cooker Brownies

 

Let your tasting buds immerse in the fudgy rich brownies. Made from whole-wheat pastry flour, applesauce, and mashed bananas, these delicious brownies are a perfect recipe in a family get-together.

 

 

Ingredients:

 

  1. Whole wheat pastry – 1 cup
  2. Unsweetened cocoa powder – ½ cup
  3. Baking powder – ½ teaspoon
  4. Unsweetened applesauce – ¾ cup
  5. Mashed ripe bananas – 2
  6. Honey – 1 cup
  7. Egg whites – 1
  8. Unsweetened baker’s chocolate – 6 ounces
  9. Coconut oil – 1 tablespoon

    Walnuts – ½ cup

    Olive oil in oil sprayer

 

Directions:

 

  1. Place the parchment paper at the bottom in the crock-pot. After lining the sheet, spray olive oil from the oil sprayer.
  2. Blend the cocoa powder, baking powder, and flour.
  3. Melt the Baker’s chocolate in a microwave. Stir the oil in the chocolate.
  4. In another bowl, blend the mashed bananas, applesauce, egg whites, melted chocolate, and honey.
  5. Use a whisk to combine the ingredients. Pour the mixture into the liner and cook for four hours after setting to low.
  6. Use a kitchen knife and insert into the middle. If it pulls out clean, the cake is ready. If not, cook without the lid for another half hour.
  7. Remove the recipe using a knife and running along the liner. Flip the sheet upside down on a plate.
  8. Allow to cool before serving.

The healthy post-dinner dessert is a treat to every member of the family. Filled with walnuts, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon, the dessert is a fair addition to the diet.

  1. Brown sugar – ¼ cup
  2. Chopped walnuts – ¼ cup
  3. Butter or trans-fat free margarine – 2 tablespoons
  4. Cinnamon – 1 teaspoon
  5. Core Macintosh apples – 6
  6. Apple cider or apple juice – ½ cup

 

Directions:

 

  1. Mix walnut, butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  2. Core the apple using a grapefruit spoon. Do not separate the skin of the apple.
  3. Fill the apple with the already prepared mixture and place them in the slow cooker.
  4. Drain the apple cider or juice in the cooker around the apples.
  5. Set the cooker to high and cook for four hours. Check the softness of the apple. The softness varies according to the temperature. Alter the cooking time after feeling the softness of the ingredient. 
  6. Serve hot.

Slow Cooker Cinnamon Almonds

 

The spicy and sweet cinnamon almonds are a great bag-treat. Coat the almonds with the mixture of brown sugar, cinnamon, egg white, salt, vanilla extract, and water. Place the setting to cooker at low and cook for eight hours. Serve hot.
