When Mia woke up she was still naked underneath the bed covers, but she was alone. Exhaustion lulled her to sleep last night. Nate was a indeed a wolf. His energy was endless and his needs were not easy quench. He made love to her like there was no tomorrow but he remained gentle and considerate.. And when she was too tired to move, he finally gave her the chance to rest.

She sat up and stretched her body. She was set to leave after lunch and would return for a new set of trainees a week later. After she showered, Mia sat down on the chair near her dresser. She checked herself in the mirror and noticed purple marks on her skin. It was all over on every side of her neck, but she can still hide it with her hair.

She thought it was childish for him to mark her that way. It was clear that he doesn’t share what belongs to him.
Was that who she is to him? One of the things he owned?
No. He wouldn’t see her that way.

She brushed her hair and left it dangling around her shoulders. She put on a pair of earrings and checked herself in the mirror again. Something caught her attention when she was about to stand up. On one of her small, finely crafted boxes that she used to store small and important things, was a silver necklace. It has a thin chain with intricate design that would seem to disappear when worn. The pendant was also silver and it had a wolf sitting on top of a what looked like a throne. She always admire creativity and refined craftsmanship on everything around her. And the necklace was beautiful, she loved it very much.

The necklace rested perfectly on her neck. Since the chain was thin, it wasn’t too noticeable but one could see it with a closer look. She hid the pendant under her shirt before leaving the cottage.

The sun was already up and the trainees were given the chance to get playful, run around the forest in their wolf form and just enjoy the camp before the they return to the city.

Mia heard her stomach growl so she went straight to the dining hall. The kitchen crew had already started cleaning the tables and mopping the floor. She wondered if there was anything left to eat. One of the cleaners recognized her and smiled. She was one of the few human woman in the camp.

“I didn’t see you come in earlier so I thought I should save one for you.” She set the covered plate on the table.

“Thank you Lani.”

“No sweat.” She smiled again and returned to what she was doing earlier.

Mia took small bites on her bread as she recalled the night she had with Nate. A blush colored her cheeks throughout her meal. He was a piece worth every praise. His solid, muscled body served as a trap to keep her under his grasp and pleasure her in so many ways. And his manhood never faltered. It was strong and vigorous.

She coughed out a chunk of bread that got stuck on her throat. She felt embarrassed at how her thoughts had a clear vision of that part of him. Finishing up her meal now seemed impossible, so she waved at Lani and left.

Before leaving the camp, she wanted to take a dip into the secluded part of the nearby spring. She had found a safe spot before and had bathed there without intrusion for a couple of times. It was a good way to relax her sore body and think of the possibilities.

She took off her clothes except her lacey underwear. The water was nearly as cold as ice but it felt good on her burning skin. The thoughts she had about last night kept her warm inside. She leaned on one of the rocks and closed her eyes.

Now that their desire for each other had been settled last night, one question remained on her mind.
What would become of them when they leave the camp?

A rule was broken and she failed to uphold her position as an instructor. It was forbidden to get intimate with any of her trainees, but she just did, without regret. If the Commander finds out about them she won’t be able to return and will be banned from the wolf society. She let out a frustrated sigh. It’s a matter of time and only time can decide her faith in the training camp. It was a lost battle for her but she believed the price she had to pay was worth it.

“I would never thought you’d be so careless in exposing your body like that.”

Mia nearly drowned in surprise when she found Nate hovering over her. Instinctively, she covered her self with her hands which only made him smirk. He took of his own clothes to join her and he had nothing on his body.

“Do you even realize how beautiful you are, naked beneath the clear water.?”

He immediately wrapped an arm around her and leaned to whisper on her ear.

“I want to add more marks on you right here, right now.”

She blushed while consciously covering the love bites with her wet hair.

“Why bother? I love seeing them on you.”

He bent down to nibble on her neck which sent jolts of electricity all over her, making her warmer, almost feverish. He traced the curves of her neck with his tongue and up to her ear. He bit it gently before gently sucking it.

Mia wrapped her around his shoulders as she savored the thrilling sensation. His hand made its way to breasts and fondled them simultaneously while his mouth traced her jawline before making its way to her lips.

“Nate..” She pleadingly called out his name.

He kiss was rough, urgent and demanding. He was kissing her like it was their first, but with an overflowing lust. She felt him grow hard against her stomach and it prompted her insides to released her love juice. She wanted him inside her right away.

She called out his name again in between kisses. He parted the only fabric on her body to one side so he can be inside her. He thrusted hard and filled her. His plunged hard and fast, it gave her no time to utter another word. She got lost in ecstasy and wrapped her legs around him to keep him firmly inside.

Her wails of intense pleasure filled the air as they danced in the rhythm of euphoria. It left them breathless.

He stayed inside her for a moment before she gently tugged him to pull away,  which he unwillingly did. He looked like a child who had just finished his candy but wanted more. And as much as she wanted to give in, it would be too risky. They had been on the spring for a long while. Someone might start looking for either of them.

They parted ways but not before he gave her another breath taking kiss and an additional marks on her breasts.

It felt like she floated on her way back to her cottage. He was such a wonderful lover, every encounter leaves her wanting for more, however, it only added to her worries. The more memories she had of him, the harder it would be to let him go. It was the only decision she could think every time she thinks about getting caught.

Sighing, she packed her things and waited for the buses to take them all back to the city.

Her emotions were spiraling in a rapid phase whenever Nate was involved. He could summon so much emotion from her that she often ended up over joyed one time and freaked out of worry the next. The continued stirring of her feelings had left her thinking more of him. Geez, she was in love, alright.

Her things had been loaded on the bus and she took one last look at the training camp. Almost everyone leaves after every training except the Commander and an elite group of guards. And for her, it may be the last time she would ever step foot on it.

She hadn’t seen Nate since their heated moment at the spring, not even on the other buses. It’s like he disappeared and didn’t bother saying goodbye. And so with a heavy heart, she boarded the bus and sat at the back. The bus was for the administration and her co-instructors so she won’t be bother by noisy muscular boys as she wallow in despair.

With a headset plugged on her ears, she closed her eyes and hoped she could just sleep all throughout the trip. She would appreciate that very much. The bus engine came to life but didn’t move until the last minute passenger boarded. She didn’t care, not even when someone sat beside her, she just wanted to sleep away her worries for now.

Mia felt a steady breathing caressing her face and awoke her from her slumber. She opened her eyes and saw Nate deep in sleep. His arm had securely locked her beside him as her head rested on his shoulder. This was probably the reason why she slept well for an hour or so.

She used the opportunity to look at him closely. Even in his sleep, he still wore the aura of confidence and authority. His face was laced with growing beard and he had an almost invisible scar on his left cheek. His hair had grown over the past days and it added to his beauty.

The screeching of the tires due to a sudden stop waked her out of her reverie and woke Nate up at the same time. His arm immediately tightened around her, even though it never loosened even in his sleep.

“Mia? What’s going on?” He asked with a hoarse voice.

“I don’t know. The bus just stopped all of a sudden.”

The other people on the bus stood to look around. The bus before them had stopped without warning, luckily the driver on their bus was quick enough to step on the brakes on time.

A loud scream came from the first bus followed by loud growls. It shook wildly like it was being push from either sides. The metal case had huge dents until it was torn away from the bus and it revealed a bloodbath inside.

They were under attack. Most of the passengers on the first bus were the senior trainees who were under the special skills program. The young wolves were being trained in different skill areas until they excel in one. The results would then be used to determine their ranks.

However, it didn’t look like the trainees stood a chance against the much bigger and stronger black wolves. The black wolves are the common enemy of all the wolf pack in the wolf society. Though the brown wolves had come to a blood pact to live in harmony and established an organized society, the black ones stayed out and were often the source of trouble.

The captain of the of the guards howled and Mia guessed he was calling all wolves to turn. And so one by one, every wolf jumped out of the bus and shed skin except Nate who remained by her side.

“You go on and help them. I can protect myself, Nate.”

“Sure you can.” He sarcastically replied while scanning the area.

“Most of the boys with us right now are young and inexperienced. An extra help from someone who’s been to a real fight would be appropriate.”

“You stay here. We will protect this bus no matter what.” He gave her a bear hug before jumping out of the window.

For the first time, Mia saw Nate’s transformation. His body burst into a gigantic furred body with long arms and legs that has pointed claws. His face remained close to human’s form but with large teeth and overly sized fangs. His eyes turned black and round. And when he howled, the rest of the wolves did the same.

More black wolves appeared through the forest trapping everyone in the road. One massive black wolf made its way to the front and stood before the others.

“Where is the fledgling?” His voice roared.

Mia clasped her hands together as fear made its way into her system. There were a good number of black wolves and although their side outnumber them, they are still lacking in experience and strength. The young wolves would be massacred in no time and she may be too.

“Where is the fledgling?” His roar was frighteningly loud.

“He is not here, Dimitri.” One of the high ranking black wolf answered.

“I can smell him. Where is he?”

The same wolf who spoke earlier howled twice which she guessed meant to call on the others to form a defensive line. They formed a wall of wolves around the bus where Mia was. She could barely see the enemies behind the huge wolves surrounding the bus. She searched for Nate and found him standing near her window.

“Nate what’s happening?” Though unsure he would hear her, she asked him anyway.

“They are looking for me.” The hoarseness of his voice didn’t change.

“But why? What did you do?”

“Let’s talk about this later Mia. Go take cover under one of the seats.”

Nate then moved forward then stopped behind the captain. The captain bowed his head a bit to pay respect to him before he howled for another order.

Mia heard the successive howling, it sounded like a warning of some sort , she just had to take a peek. She saw Nate move out of the protective line. He stood firmly while he growled.

The exchange of howling and growling continued while the wolves on stand by scratched the ground getting ready to attack anytime. Nate raised his paw forward and the fight began.

A cloud of dust hung around the battle ground as soldiers of black and brown of great magnitude fought for blood and territorial dominance. The wolves teared their opponents limbs, crushed their skulls to small fragments and ripped their hearts out.

As the bloodshed continued, Mia sank into the bus floor and covered her ears. The site was too much for her. The savagery every wolf had inside them, when poured out in the open was frightening. She could never see them as regular humans anymore, or harmless students under her control. One outburst and she would die, this was the truth she had come to realize.

Suddenly, she didn’t felt safe anymore. What if a brown wolf decided to attack her too because he got carried away with the ongoing fight? What if Nate got too absorbed, t control and accidentally kill her before he could snap back to his human self?

No! Nate won’t hurt her.
She had to believe in him, she already told him she did so today was no exception. She pressed her hands against her ears and tightly shut her eyes, and stayed under the bus seat while praying it would all be over soon.
