Jack Reid laughed. âThanks Boss,' he said, âbut how did you know?'

âYour wife rang up and asked me yesterday,' Rachel Moody said. âBut she made me promise I wouldn't tell you.'

Rachel Moody picked up the prospectus for the house in Forester Close and tore it up before she threw the pieces of paper into the waste bin.

âWell, that's the end of that,' she said, and they grinned at one another.
