golden eyes turned to him before he added, “You once told me you would not marry a man who tried to take you away from the sea. How do you feel about having married one selfish enough to want you as much for your skills at the helm as for your skills at rescuing him from his own foolish pride?”

Beau opened her mouth to reply but words, for once, failed her.
