Abdulla dropped Shan off at her hotel and then sped off into the night, driving entirely too fast. Shan made her way to her room and was surprised to find a beautiful mini bouquet of Patchi chocolates piled atop a silver tray waiting on her bedside table. The card perched atop the pyramid of sweets read, “Nothing tastes as sweet as you, but they are trying.”
“That man,” she said aloud before unwrapping one and devouring it. That mountain walk had been more of a hike than a leisurely walk, but it had been fun and she had enjoyed the company of the ladies.
She was out of the shower in record time because she wanted to call her mother and tell her of the recent developments. As she massaged aloe vera oil into her skin, she had her phone on speaker as she dialed her mother.
“Hello daughter!” Katy answered.
“Hey Mama,” Shan responded.
“How are you enjoying Al Ain?” Katy asked.
“It has been a really nice experience so far,” Shan said.
“I saw Lari yesterday after checking in, we had dinner last night and Abdulla took me on a sightseeing expedition after breakfast,” she continued.
“What are you doing, you sound funny,” her mother asked.
“I’m trying to lotion my feet. We are meeting everyone for dinner downstairs in a little bit,” Shan said.
“Oh, that sounds nice. I have some news,” her mother said.
“Really? I do too,” Shan said.
“You first, baby. It is probably better than mine,” her mother urged.
“Okay, first of all, you should sit down so I don’t shock you,” Shan said.
“Okay, sitting.”
“Abdulla is coming to Texas with me this Christmas,” Shan started.
Her mother waited, because it seemed there was something else Shan wanted to say, though she hesitated.
“And?” her mother prompted.
Softly, “And, we are talking about marriage.”
Katy took the phone away from her head and looked at it. She had to close her mouth before she caught a fly.
“That is some news, baby! How absolutely wonderful!” she exclaimed.
“Now, tell me all about this new development. I don’t think you have mentioned this Abdulla to me before. Actually, I am
sure
you haven’t mentioned this man before! Tell me everything! When will you arrive? I have a thousand things to do. I must buy new bedding for the guest room,” her mother gushed.
“Mom. Wait. No, don’t buy new bedding. Just, I mean, he will come with me at the end of term one for Christmas break,” Shan stammered.
Her heart was beating a mile a minute; she was trying to keep from breaking into a spontaneous sweat. She had mentioned Abdulla to her mother. This just got real. He was coming to Texas. Oh my GOSH.
“I can’t talk long, because I have to get ready for dinner, but since I already opened my mouth and spilled the beans to his mom I wanted to call and tell you the first chance I had,” Shan said.
“Oh, baby. This is the best news I have had in a while. I do need to talk to you though, how long are you going to be there? Or can we talk in the morning?” her mother asked.
“Absolutely. I will call you when I wake, before I go to the gym,” Shan agreed.
“Okay, baby. I love you and enjoy your dinner,” Katy said as they ended the call.
Shan stepped into an ankle length black and white skirt and a tank top with a long sleeved chiffon cover. She added a colorful head wrap and dangling earrings. Just as she was sliding her feet into rhinestone sandals, Abdulla knocked on her door. Butterflies took wing in her tummy as she rushed to the door.
Abdulla loved how she covered herself but still stayed true to her own personal sense of style. She looked very modest in her black and white skirt and top. He loved the way her locs hung down from her head wrap and how the earrings framed her face. Unable to resist, he stepped into the room and closing the door with his foot, he picked her up and without mussing her clothes he kissed her lips gently.
“Hi,” he said.
“Hi,” she said.
“You look delicious and taste like chocolate,” he said.
“Thank you, for the compliment and the chocolates,” she said, smiling.
“I see you are in traditional dress. Do you want me to put on an abaya?” she asked.
“No, you are fine. I want you to wear whatever you like,” he said as he nuzzled her neck and squeezed her one more time before setting her back on her feet.
“Okay, then lead me to the table, I’m starving,” she said.
“I know you cheated and had chocolate. You know better than to eat dessert before dinner,” he teased.
“Then you should do something about my naughty behavior,” she said with a wicked wink as she sauntered out the door.
Abdulla was left standing with his mouth open before he followed her out the door, shaking his head and thinking about what he was going to do about her naughtiness.
Abdulla and Shan were received with warm greetings upon reaching the table. The meal passed with plenty of conversation and laughter. The children were surprisingly subdued, primarily because they had been worn out by the mountain walk. The food was delicious and security was very discrete, so they didn’t draw any more attention than could usually be expected.
Toward the end of the meal, Badr held up his hand and said, “I have an announcement.”
All eyes turned to him seated next to Alyazia and he grasped her hand and said, “In about 28 weeks, Alyazia will be delivering a boy into this world.”
Cheers greeted the news, the ladies just as happy to hear it announced the second time as they had been the first. There was no indicator at all this was not the first time they heard the news. Alyazia was grateful; she wanted her husband to have this moment. He had been so excited when she told him. He had kissed her hand and thanked her. Then, he’d taken all her clothes off and thanked her again, gently and sweetly, looking closely for changes in her body. It had been a special moment for them both.
After the cheers had died down, Badr waved a hand and restaurant staff came bearing cake pops made to look like a baby rattle with blue icing. They were all so excited, the remaining night passed quickly. Before Shan knew it, they had paid and were saying goodnight to one another.
Abdulla whispered in her ear, “I will be right back, let me walk everyone to the valet stand.”
Nodding, Shan made her way to her room. Abdulla walked his family out to the valet stand and stood chatting. They did not have to wait, as security had already pulled the SUV’s around to pick up the family.
Having driven himself, he told everyone he would see them in a bit and watched them drive away pretended not to see his father shaking his finger at him in a warning. Laughing, he headed back to the Shan’s room; he wanted to hold her before she went to sleep. When he made his way to the room, she answered the door in a towel and told him to come in and join her in the tub. Abdulla did not have to be asked twice. He was naked and sitting in bubbles in less time than it took to tumble down a sand dune.
She had set a very nice atmosphere. Tamia, Faith, Whitney, Ledisi, Anita and Luther took turns serenading the lovers. Candles flickered on the counter top, giving the bathroom a mysterious, quiet air.
They had a low voiced conversation about many things. They spoke of the upcoming trip to Texas. They discussed the events of the day and how they had been moved by the visit to the museum. Shan thanked him again for taking her to that divine grill for lunch. While talking, they touched each other. She ran her hands up his chest and squeezed the firm muscle of his shoulders. She hugged him and slid her hands down his back.
He played with her hair, massaged her neck, shoulders and back while she rested her head on his shoulder and talked of nothing and everything. After long minutes of talking, the candles grew low, the water cool and Abdulla hard. Both of their thoughts turned to something more than conversations. Shan leaned in for a kiss. Abdulla grabbed her hips and rubbed himself against her. Shan raised herself just enough to slide down and engulf the head of his rod. Then, straddling his lap she looked at him. She was gripping his ultra-sensitive head, squeezing it with her inner walls. She didn’t move her hips. He just sat there shivering and enjoyed the sensation of her walls all around his head, squeezing.
Abdulla pulled her all the way down and leaned her back to suck on her nipples while squeezing her bottom. Her inner walls were still squeezing around him. They looked in each other’s eyes and she squeezed and squeezed the inner walls of her garden. She rocked her bottom and just kept rubbing his head against the deepest part of her. Then, she started a slow bounce, with a rock on the down stroke and kept squeezing.
Abdulla felt sure they would boil the water out of the tub. The nerves in his dick were throbbing. She wasn’t even bouncing on it hard, just that slow bounce and tiny almost impossible to see rocking of her hips making small waves in the water and a vise like grip on his dick. She was milking him. Just when he couldn’t take anymore, he squeezed her waist so hard he knew she would have bruises in the morning and wrapped her in a crushing embrace while he groaned out his orgasm into her neck, seed rushing out to flood her chamber.
Feeling Abdulla release was the final straw and as he pulsed inside Shan started shaking and moaning, “Abood, Abood, Abood.” Then she was grinding on him, the sensation was too much with her walls were gripping and shaking all around him. When it was over, they just held each other while Tamia sang that she would do anything for her man.
As the song began to grow faint and the next song began, Abdulla laughed weakly and said, “I’m afraid to stand in this tub. I don’t think my legs will hold me.”
Chuckling, Shan said, “I am afraid I am in the same condition. Here, let me get up first and then once I am up, I will help you.”
Slowly, carefully both of them with still trembling legs climbed out of the tub. After slowly drying themselves, Shan donned her long purple nightgown while Abdulla pulled on his clothes. He was truly disgusted to be leaving his woman, all clean, sweet smelling and satisfied to sleep by herself. He frowned to himself thinking December could not come fast enough for him. He planned to marry her as soon as he returned from meeting her mother. This business of leaving her wasn’t sitting right with him, at all.
After letting Abdulla out, for the second night in a row, Shan reflected that she might get used to this regular loving. Before climbing in bed, she messaged her friend, Cherry and told her she could meet for breakfast the next morning as she was leaving on Saturday. Cherry sent back a very happy emoticon and agreed on a time. Friday breakfast really meant brunch and anyone who has ever had brunch in the UAE, knows it is an embarrassment of riches in food and drink.
Shan read for a little while and after she received a phone call from Abdulla to let her know he had arrived to his uncle’s home safely; she finally went to sleep.
The next morning, Shan hopped up and made her way to the gym to get a good walk and take some steam. She would miss this when she returned to Muscat. She made a mental note to get her life together and find a gym with a steam room.
As usual, Abdulla had messaged her while she was working out and she let him know she was meeting a friend for brunch. He was, of course, invited and he could bring Mo and Lari if they were in the mood. To be sure Abdulla didn’t forget, Shan messaged Lari as well. Lari’s response was a thumb up with a wine glass and a dancing lady. Laughing, Shan made her way to the shower and after getting nice and clean, spent some time praying and meditating. At the appointed time, Abdulla was knocking on her door. He smiled his approval of her blue and white sailor top with the cute white Capri pants.
“Good morning,” he said.
“Good morning,” she responded, smiling and skin just glowing.
“You look like a loved woman,” he told her.
Gasping, Shan looked around as if there might have been someone in the room to hear what he said.
“Abdulla,” she said, embarrassed.
“Don’t be embarrassed, you are loved,” he insisted. To emphasize his point, he pulled her into a tight embrace and kissed her breathless.
When they separated, for air, he turned her toward the mirror and said, “Look.”
She did. She saw a woman dressed for brunch. She was breathing heavily, her nipples were at attention, her cheeks were flushed and her eyelids were low. Abdulla ran a hand down her hip.
“This is one way to tell a woman is well loved, kiss swollen lips, red cheeks, and trembling,” he said as he kissed her shoulder.
“Of course, I am the only one who will ever see you quite like this. But, when your breathing slows and the color recedes and your lips smooth out, your skin will still glow. Your step will be light. You will smile. Your eyes will shine, and those are also the signs of a well-loved woman.”
Almost as if it was his to command, her body did just as he described. He was stroking her shoulders and arms and her breathing slowed down. Some of the red in her face began to fade to her usual tawny shade of brown and her lips didn’t look quite as swollen. Her eyes were still bright and she was smiling.
Looking at him in the mirror, she said, “Yes, but are you loved?”
Looking very seriously, he said, “I certainly feel loved, but you have to tell me. Am I?”
Turning around to look him in the eye, she put her hands on his face and said, “Absolutely Abood. You are absolutely loved.”
This time, the kiss was sweet.
Shan interrupted to say, “Now, we are going to brunch and Lari and I are going to get silly with Cherry on some good champagne.”
“Let’s go!” he said.
There were the usual squeals of delight among women who have not seen each other for a long time. Compliments on fashion choices, questions about that wonderful scent someone was wearing and exclamations and promises about doing a better job of keeping in touch. The brunch was hilarious and a lot of champagne was had by the ladies. Mohammed wasn’t a drinker and Abdulla limited himself to just two beers before he switched to juice.
The ladies chatted for the entire four hour brunch and the fellas also had a great time.. Cherry was entertaining and had many stories of her adventures in nursing. Hospitals all over the world were ripe with gossip and intrigue and the one in Al Ain was no different.
Doctors were having all manner of romantic entanglements with various ladies. Young men from highly placed families showed up obviously suffering from alcohol poisoning that was always labeled food poisoning. Teens got into fights over the same silly things; reputation, reckless talking and siblings then had to be patched up. After lots of talk, eating and drinking, the ladies made their way on to the pool where they drifted between lazy chat, dips in the pool and naps.
As the sun began to set, Shan snapped her fingers and said, “I almost forgot! I want to see a camel race,” and she looked at Abdulla.
“Will there be a race we can see before we leave?” she asked.
Abdulla looked at Mohammed and arched an eyebrow, “Cousin, is there?” he asked.
“I will investigate. They are usually on Saturday morning. Let me see if there are any tomorrow,” he said.
Abdulla told Shan, “The races are held early, before the heat rises; so if you want to go we will go early and then return to check out and head back to Muscat.”
“No problem, I will pack tonight and be ready to check out before we leave for the race,” Shan answered.
