Robert Chafe was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, where he currently works as artistic associate and playwright for Artistic Fraud. He is the author of numerous plays, of which
Butler’s Marsh
and
Tempting Providence
were shortlisted in 2004 for the Governor General’s Literary Award for Drama. Chafe has been a guest instructor at the Memorial University of Newfoundland, Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, and at the National Theatre School of Canada.
