Chapter Thirty-One

Opening the back door, Ian let Lola in from the yard while Kelly pulled the tray of lasagna out of the oven. “Missed you, little bit.” He bent to scratch the little dog behind the ears. “If I’m moving in here, can we get a real dog? Like a Rottweiler.”

“The vet says she’s a Phalene.”

“What’s that in English?”

“It’s a Papillon with droopy ears.”

“You mean she’s not getting any bigger?”

“The vet says she’ll probably end up close to eleven pounds—large for her breed.”

“Unbelievable.” The pasta was slightly messy, with sauce spilling out around the sides of the dish, but it smelled like heaven. “Homemade?”

“I wanted to do something special.” Kelly’s ears flushed a deep pink. “It’s not every day I invite the love of my life to move in with me.”

“The love of your life, huh?” Ian nodded toward the pasta. “Will it keep?”

There was a slight pause and then a nod. “Hell yeah.”

Kelly set up the small gate between the kitchen and the hallway, barricading Lola in the kitchen, and Ian followed him down the hall.

Soft black material pulled over Kelly’s tight ass, clinging to firm round globes. Ian never thought he’d be here again, about to bury himself deep inside his lover until he couldn’t tell where his body began and Kelly’s ended. That’s what he wanted. To be one body with one breath and one beating heart.

Ian let out a low breath as they turned in to Kelly’s bedroom. The sheets and blankets were tangled on top of the bed, like he hadn’t been sleeping well.

Never again
, Ian thought as he stripped his shirt off over his head. He’d never leave Kelly alone—wanting and in pain—again, not if he could help it.

He kicked off his shoes and shoved his jeans down over his hips, suddenly aware that Kelly was still fully dressed in dark sweatpants and his worn gray Henley. The shirt was a little heavy for the weather, but the soft color brought out the brilliant blue of Kelly’s eyes.

Had he ever been naked in front of a fully dressed Kelly before? They’d done things the other way around—definitely—but this was something new. Ian’s hands slowed as he reached for his briefs, smiling when Kelly’s gaze dropped to his waistband. He slid the silky underpants down over his hips, inch by inch, slowly revealing his lean hips, trimmed pubic hairs and thick erection.

Kelly gasped as the briefs fluttered to the ground.

Oh, yeah, this could be fun.

Time to put on a show. He stalked forward until he was standing less than an inch away from Kelly—close enough to scent the lemon and sugar body wash that always left him salivating. “This is your night,” he said. “What do you want?”

“Me?” Kelly squeaked. Pale lashes fluttered against his skin as he glanced down at the thick erection poking against his belly. When he spoke again, there was no doubt in his voice. “Take me. Fuck me.”

“I’m going to make love to you.” Ian captured Kelly’s mouth in a bright kiss, demanding but never harsh. He tasted sunlight and sugar, pure unadulterated bliss, and felt a zing of electricity shooting through his body. His teeth bit down, nipping at Kelly’s tender bottom lip and drawing out an eager whimper in response.

“Just because we’re making love, don’t think I’m going to be gentle.” He paused long enough for Kelly to use his safe word if he wanted.

“Please...” Kelly groaned. “Please...more.”

Good enough.
Ian reached out to palm the beautiful cock he’d been fantasizing about for weeks. He shoved the soft sweatpants to the side, curling his fingers around the thick shaft as he took a step forward, crowding Kelly back against the wall. He dragged his fingers down the familiar erection, cupping lightly furred balls before slipping even further down to nudge his lover’s hot hole.

Kelly bucked and moaned happily against the light pressure, demanding more.

“Don’t worry, babe. I’ve got you.” He considered his options before spinning Kelly around and manhandling him onto the bed. There was no time for finely wrought restraints or elegant knots. Instead, he pinned Kelly’s hands up over his head—forming a firm barrier around his wrists—as he reached up under the heavy gray shirt to tease those sensitive nubs.

“God!” All it took was a gentle flick of Ian’s fingers against Kelly’s rock-candy nipples and he was shouting out loud, his bare legs struggling to wrap around Ian’s waist and draw him closer.

Ian blinked in surprise as their hips locked together and heavy erections danced against each other, tender skin dragging against hard ridges. Had that been a hint of metal underneath his shirt? He shoved the cloth upward, bunching it around Kelly’s neck.

“Fuck.” No wonder he’d been so responsive. Glinting in the sunlight were two brand new piercings going through Kelly’s nipples. Nothing extravagant, just simple metal hoops. Ian almost came on the spot. His throat went dry as he recalled suggesting the exact same decoration. “Did you do this for me?”

“For me.” Kelly shivered under his gaze.

It was a good answer, but that didn’t mean Ian wouldn’t enjoy them. He released Kelly’s lips just long enough to strip off the shirt—no wonder it was so thick, Kelly had wanted to hide the small hoops while they talked—and leave him bare.

Lube from the bedside table.
Ian took time to prep Kelly slowly, working first one then two and finally three fingers into his hole and flexing against the interior muscle. Kelly spread his legs, bending them to make room as Ian slid a condom into place, and then Ian was pressing himself home.

He didn’t stop thrusting forward until his erection was firmly seated inside Kelly. Gleaming blue eyes turned up to meet his gaze, pupils dilated and round. Kelly was breathing faster now, gasping every time his shaft rubbed between them, groaning as Ian lifted a hand to his chest.

A kind man would give the piercings more time to heal before playing with them in bed, but Ian had never been kind...and Kelly loved it.

“Oh, fuck,” he gasped against the pressure on his tender skin. “Oh, damn. Harder.”

Ian was only too happy to oblige, pulling out slightly then slamming home to bury himself inside Kelly’s all-encompassing heat over and over again. His rhythm never let up as he bent to suck at one pierced nub.

“Fuck, Ian.” His name was murmured over and over again, like a pledge...like a prayer. “Do it again. Do it again—”

And then, when Kelly was pleading, moaning, his nerves scraped raw, Ian shifted slightly and used his tongue to lap the pain away.

“Oh, God!” Kelly’s entire body bucked violently as he came in a rush of heat and energy and then it was Ian’s turn to scream Kelly’s name as his climax erupted out of him.

“Hell,” Ian said when he could finally remember how to breathe. “I love you.”

“Does that mean you’re going downstairs to let the dog up?” Kelly asked, but then he was snuggling closer. “I love you too. Forever and always.”

It wasn’t a fairytale ending. Real life never was. They’d still have to work on their communication skills—in and out of bed. Kelly would need to work on articulating his desires and Ian needed to learn to release some control. Lola would have to go to obedience lessons, they’d have to find housemates to fill the spare bedrooms, but...

Together they’d make it work.

Forget the fairytales. Ian had finally found his Prince Charming, and he was never going to let him go.
