“Cory,” he whispered. “Wake up, honey.”
Her eyes fluttered open. “He okay?”
“He’s great. Zonked out. Put your arms around me.”
She did, and he lifted her from the chair. She wrapped her legs around him, too, and he carried his wife back to their bed.
