Always Me (8 page)

His hands gripped my hips harder. “Baby, I know how your body responds to me, even if it’s been two years since I’ve touched you.”

“Yeah? Prove it,” I needed his hands on me, even if for a little bit. I had loved teasing him. Playing hard to get. I enjoyed making him work for me. It turned him on, knowing that I wasn’t an easy lay like I’m sure most of the women that he had slept with were. Jealousy roamed through me. How many women had he slept with in the last two years?

A sharp bite on my ear made me jump. “You think too much.”

The pain simmered, sending liquid heat pooling in my panties, and I panted, wanting more.

“I know your nipples harden whenever I kiss you here.” He placed a soft kiss on my neck, just below my ear.

My eyes fluttered closed, and my nipples hardened to sharp peaks, proving him right. Aching to be touched, pinched by him.

“I also know that you love it when I squeeze and slap your ass,” he growled in my ear. He squeezed my ass and rubbed the bulge in his pants against me, making me moan. He then slapped my ass, and I gasped, liquid desire seeping between my legs.

I leaned my head back against his shoulder and licked my lips. “What else?”

“You also love it when I test your limits and fuck you whenever I want,” he said, his voice darkening. He ran a hand over my lower belly and pulled me back against him.

“I’m a mother now. I have to be respon…” My breath hitched as his fingers went lower into my shorts. “…sible.”

“Do you now? So does that mean just plain missionary style for you then, little one?” he teased, wrapping a hand around my neck.

I swallowed hard, gripping the sink. “I guess.”

“I’ll take you the way I want you,” he breathed into my ear.

Chapter 10

Sebastian’s fingers moved back and forth over my mound, making my bones melt. “Please.”

“What, baby?” he whispered in my ear.

I arched against him, biting my lip, and whimpered when he pulled his hand out of my shorts.

“What do you want?” he asked, pressing his chest against my back, pinning me to the counter. His fingers grazed up my thigh, moving to the sensitive flesh just under my ass.

“I want you.” Oh God, did I ever want him. I didn’t’ think I had ever wanted him so bad. I was so turned on it was almost painful.

“Do you now?” he licked my ear, moving his finger further into my shorts. He pushed his knees in between mine, spreading my legs. He ran a finger over my core, and I bucked, gasping as he held me in place. “Much better,” he whispered against my neck.

I spread my legs wider and cried out as he thrust a finger into me and bit my ear at the same time. The pain and pleasure twirling in my body spread desire over my skin. “Oh God.”

“Fuck, I’ve missed your hot pussy.” He drove his finger in and out of me slowly.

I rocked against him, panting, and ground my ass against his crotch. “Sebastian.”

He moved his finger faster and bit my ear again, and then he stopped. My body whimpered when he removed his finger.

It had been way too long since anyone had made me feel that way.

He placed his hands on my hips and spun me so I faced him. My cheeks heated as I watched him stick his finger in his mouth and suck.

He smirked as he swallowed. “Still taste good too.”

My stomach flipped. Oh…wow…

I reached for him, losing myself in his passion-filled eyes, but he grabbed my wrists and held them against his chest.

“No, I’m not fucking you when our son is in the other room.”

My cheeks burned. I had completely forgotten Antonio sat in his highchair not that far from us. God, I was a horrible mother.

I shoved past him, but he grabbed my arm, spinning me to him. “Little one.”

“Let go of me,” I demanded.

“No, not until you tell me what just happened there.”

I scowled. “I almost had sex in front of my…our son.” My cheeks heated more.

A smile coated his features. He grabbed my chin and placed a hard kiss on my lips. “No, you wouldn’t have. As much as I want to rip your shorts down and bury my cock in that sweet pussy of yours—” His eyes blazed and he cleared his throat. “—that can wait.”

My skin bloomed at his words. Shivers ran down my spine. “But if you hadn’t stopped it, I would have…”

He smiled, running his thumb over my bottom lip. “You would have what?”

“I would have let you fuck me senseless,” I told him, using his words.

His thumb stopped, his nostrils flaring. He fisted my hair in his hands and pulled my head back, forcing me to look up at him. Sebastian covered my mouth with his.

I grabbed onto his jacket and moaned against his mouth.

He released me and licked along my bottom lip. “When I fuck you senseless, you’ll know it.”

Having Sebastian back in my life was bittersweet. The love and affection he had for me never went away in the time that we were apart, but his possessiveness had magnified during his ‘death.’ Just wait until he found out about Brett. Oh crap. Brett.

“I can’t believe you’re going to keep him,” Sebastian said to me, interrupting my thoughts. He ran a hand down
Malvado
’s back as he sat on the couch with the big dog on his lap. He looked at the dog lovingly, almost like he was happy that I was going to keep him.

“Well he’s not going back to Jose, that’s for damn sure,” I bit out, picking up the phone. I searched through the phone book and tried looking for someone who would deliver dog food when the phone was snatched from my hands. I turned and opened my mouth to speak and then closed it.

Sebastian placed the phone to his ear and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. “Yeah, it’s me. Can you bring some dog food on your way? We’ll need a big bag and a chew toy and water bowl too. Thanks my man.”

“Who was that?” I asked, confused.

“You worry too much.” He kissed my nose and pulled me into an embrace.

“Who did you invite over to my house?” I asked, looking up at him. It still amazed me that he was back in my life. It had only been one day, but every so often, I expected him to disappear, and when he didn’t, my heart soared with happiness.

“You’ll see.”

“Garrith? What the hell are you doing here?” I exclaimed as he walked into the kitchen. Placing the bag on the floor, he turned to us.

Garrith looked between Sebastian and I, guilt crossing his features. “Did you tell her anything?”

“Not enough,” Sebastian answered, placing a hand on the back of my neck.

Garrith nodded. “Where’s Antonio?”

“He’s down for his nap. Will someone please tell me what’s going on and why you’re not acting surprised at all that Sebastian is clearly alive?” I demanded. Garrith was the other person that knew about Sebastian being alive. Oh God. After all this time. How could he keep that from me?

“You might want to take a seat,” Garrith told me.

I released myself from Sebastian’s grasp and leaned against the back of the couch, crossing my arms under my chest. “I’m good. Now talk.”

Sebastian’s stare bored into me, and I ignored the intense look.

Garrith leaned against the kitchen counter and scrubbed a hand down his face.

“Please tell me what’s going on.”

“I don’t know where to begin,” Garrith admitted.

I huffed. He was playing dumb. He definitely knew what I was asking, but he was going to make me work for the answers that I was looking for. “You must have known he was alive.”

He didn’t reply, giving me my answer.

Tears welled in my eyes. “You knew. All this time you knew that Sebastian was alive? For the past two fucking years, you watched me cry and agonize over losing him.” Having two big men in my kitchen made the room feel small, as if all the air was being sucked out of it.

“I’m so sorry,” he said quietly.

“Does Keisha know about all of this?” I asked him.

Garrith’s eyes widened. “No, and she’s not going to either, not until I’m ready to tell her.”

“I don’t understand.”

Sebastian took a step toward me. “Tori, I did it to protect you.”

“No, if you wanted to protect me, then you wouldn’t have chickened out and left in the first place. Was loving me too much for you?” My voice broke on a sob.

He flinched like I’d slapped him, but he didn’t reply.

“Tori, you’re getting it all wrong,” Garrith said. “This is not Sebastian’s fault. I approached him. He left you because of me.”

I gasped. “Why?” Tears rolled down my cheeks, and I angrily wiped them away.

“We understand you’re upset. Hell, I would be too if I were in your shoes but…” Garrith took a step toward us. “I can’t tell you anymore.”

“Bullshit you’re not.” I said, confused.

Garrith and Sebastian looked at each other, but Garrith was the one that spoke. “We can’t talk about that yet. Not until Jose is caught.”

“Or dead,” Sebastian added.

“How did you know I got pictures?” I asked Sebastian.

He swallowed and looked away, guiltily.

“I told him,” Garrith said gruffly.

I rolled my eyes. “Of course you did. Now why does that not surprise me?”

Garrith glared at me in warning. “Tori.”

Ignoring the hard-edged stare he was giving me and the firm sound of his voice, I went on. “How long have you known each other?” I asked, looking between the two of them.

“Long enough,” Garrith answered. The vague answers were really starting to piss me off, but I didn’t press. Not yet anyway. I was mentally exhausted, apparently having more patience than I should have. What did that say about me? Maybe I was desperate for attention. Desperate to be loved and for a physical touch.

I sighed and turned back to Sebastian. “Jose is back. I get that. My locks were changed. But you—” I shoved a finger in Sebastian’s face and the word-vomit continued, as I could no longer control the things flowing from my mouth. “You think coming back after all this time is going to protect me from him? You tried that last time and look what happened. He still kidnapped me.”

“Fuck you, Tori,” Sebastian said, snarling.

I gasped, my heart tearing in two. My eyes widened as fury and rage swam in his dark eyes. He never swore at me. Oh God. What did I do? My no-filter moments were really starting to get me into trouble. Guilt ate at me at the pain in Sebastian’s eyes.

“Garrith,” Sebastian growled. “Leave.”

“Yep, I’m out. I’ll see you guys on the weekend.” Garrith walked past us and a moment later the front door shut.

Sebastian took a step toward me and I backed up. “You think I like hearing about what that fucker did to you?” His voice lowered, coated with venom.

Swallowing, I rubbed my sweaty palms on my shorts, but I didn’t reply.

“Hearing how he touched you, beat you…burned you. You were pregnant.” His body shook as he took another step toward me, his eyes going black as ink.

I had no idea that he knew all of that. Memories from that night came crashing back full force. “Yes, I was. I—”

“Even though he kicked you and fucking shot you, Antonio survived. He’s our miracle.”

Tears welled in my eyes, and I nodded.

“Every day for the last two years, I swore to myself that when I found him, I would break every bone in his body. One by one, I would snap them in my hands, waiting for the sound of the satisfying crunch. Then I would cut off every body part that touched you and feed them to his dog,” Sebastian snapped as he took another step toward me.

Bile rose in my throat at the image, and I took another step back, jumping when I hit the patio door. “Sebastian, I’m so…”

“Garrith told me what he did. Maybe to fuel the hatred that was already in me. But I promise you, even if you hate me, even if you blame me for Jose kidnapping you, I will make him pay.” His chest rose and fell as his dark eyes blazed.

“I don’t hate you,” I said quietly. “And I don’t blame you. I shouldn’t have said that. I’m so sorry.”

His gaze searched my face, waiting. Maybe for me to snap at him again. When I didn’t, his body seemed to relax.

“Are you working with Garrith?”

“Yes.” His answer was clipped but at least he replied.

I breathed a sigh of relief at finally getting somewhat of an answer. If he was working with the FBI, then obviously he couldn’t tell me everything, and I would just have to get over that. “Jose left me a note,” I blurted.

Sebastian took a deep breath and leaned against the side of the couch. “What did it say?”

“Did Garrith tell you about it?” I asked him.

He glared at me, his features hardening. “What the hell did the note say, Tori?”

I huffed. “I told you I would find you,
cochina
.”

“Fuck.” he rose and walked by me, heading down the hall.

“You knew about the note, didn’t you?” I called out. I jumped when he punched a hole in the wall. “Where are you going?”

He opened the door and stopped but didn’t turn around. “Out.”

Chapter 11

After Sebastian had left to do God knows what, I paced my living room. Anxiety tore through me as I wondered if I would see him again. Reborn for only twelve hours, and already he was gone. Hours had passed, and I tried occupying my time by playing with Antonio, but by the time night came around, I told myself he wasn’t coming back.

Late into the evening, still no Sebastian. I scrubbed myself clean, trying to wash away the memories of him touching me. Not that I wanted to forget, but because I was so frustrated, it was like I was now permanently turned on.

The way he handled me after all this time proved that he still knew what I liked, what I desired from him. The way he controlled my wants and needs, it was like my body was waiting for him. Just one kiss and I was done, panting at his feet to make him take me. The passion that had started our relationship, which in turn bloomed into love, was now more intense.

Oh God, we almost had sex a few feet away from our son. I shook my head, uneasiness settling in my belly. I was not a horrible mother. It was a mistake. I blamed Sebastian.
