“Have I done something to offend you?”

“Not personally,” she answered, crossing her arms. “I think I’m
ready to go back now.”

“What happened? Just tell me.” he softly asked, taking her by the
shoulders.

“How could you treat you grandfather like he was your slave?” she
replied, looking up into his eyes.

“I’m afraid it’s a bit more difficult than that,” he claimed,
releasing her. “I love him very much.”

“Oh, for heaven’s sake Anthony, since when did you start
explaining…” Sky whirled around to see a woman standing and pointing a finger
at her menacingly. “You talk of our private business to someone like this?”

“Mind your own business, Tory,” Anthony snapped.

“I almost forgot,” she smirked,
then
took a
knee. “Don’t want to piss off the King dog, now do we?”

“Your lunch is ready on the balcony as you ordered, Sir,” one of the
maids announced.

“Thank you,” he replied, taking Sky by the hand. “Come, I’ll explain
more over lunch.”

“Who was—

“No one,” he interrupted, before she could finish asking.

The woman—Tory, looked a lot like Antony. She had the same black
hair as
him,
only hers hung past her waist and was
much wavier. She had the same brilliant blue
color
to
her eyes and her skin had a dark toffee tan which accentuated the delicate
features on her face. Sky deduced that they were most definitely related, if
not brother and sister. Anthony led Sky out onto the back balcony to a
beautifully set table, with a bottle of wine chilling in an ice filled bucket
sitting off to the side. There were several different types of flowers adorning
the table along with some of the most expensive dishes she had ever laid eyes
on, all sitting on a cream
colored
silk table cloth.

“This is all wonderful and the steaks look great, but you never
answered my question,” Sky said with her hands in her lap and her eyes boring
into Anthony’s. She was determined to get answers before she let this date go
any further.

“I wanted this lunch to be special for you,” he commented, looking
up at her. “You’re the first woman that I have ever met that didn’t feel the
attraction of the call when I spoke.”

“The call?
Is that
like a new line guys are using now? I know I don’t date much, well hardly ever,
but I can honestly say that I haven’t heard that one before,” she replied,
picking up her fork and knife.

He smiled, forgetting his sister’s rude introduction earlier, as he
watched Sky cut into her steak. She seemed to relax and forget she was annoyed,
as the drug that was slipped into her drink, started to take hold. Anthony
leaned over and whispered in her ear as she laid her head on the table. “I knew
I would find you one day.” Then she drifted into a drug induced sleep that
lasted long enough for Anthony and two others to carry her up to his room and
chain her to his bed.

Anthony sat in a chair across the room, waiting for Sky to wake up.
She moaned and turned as she started to come round, making Anthony sit up with
the worried anticipation of explaining his actions. Sky tried to raise her
upper body, but the restraints held her firmly in place on Anthony’s bed. She
looked up at her wrist,
then
panic set in. She started
screaming and yanking on the chains that bound her, all to no avail.

“It’s best if you don’t pull on the chains,” Anthony said calmly,
sitting straight up in the chair.

“Why are you doing this?” she cried, pulling harder on the chains. “I
thought you were a good person.”

“I am,” he replied, standing up.

“Stay back,” she screamed and started to struggle even harder.

“You’re going to hurt yourself,” he claimed in a stern tone, taking
hold of her wrist and holding her down. “You need to calm down!”

She turned her face away from him, as he pressed his chest down onto
hers to control her thrashing around, and other thoughts took the place of
getting hurt. Sky began to think that he wanted something she wasn’t willing to
give. She darted her eyes at him in a truly different form of fear. She was
pure, a virgin in every sense of the word. He straddled her lower half, but
kept a firm grip on her wrist.

“Can’t you afford to buy this sort of thing?” she said, trying to
bring her knee up between his legs, in hopes of causing him pain. But her legs
were securely tied just like her arms.

“If you would stop and just calm down, I could explain why I have
done what I’ve done.”

“Fine!” she yelled in his face, then went as still as the dead.

He sat up, releasing her slowly to make sure she wasn’t going to
start thrashing about again, carefully moving his body off of hers. “You are a
perfect match for me, Sky,” he started to explain.

“And you thought this was the perfect way to get my attention?”

“Please, allow me to finish,” he said, watching for her to say
something. “If I tried to tell you what I was, without taking this form of
precaution, you would have run out of my home screaming, and I have looked far
too long for my mate to let that happen.”

“Mate?
Anthony…”
she started to say more when he interrupted her a second time.

“Please, Sky, this is hard enough as it is,” he explained, watching
her roll her eyes and turn her head away from him. “Fine, you don’t have to
look at me, but you must hear what I have to say.”

“I want to go home Anthony, I don’t want to do this anymore. I want
you to take these things off my wrists right now,” she demanded in a low
unthreatening tone.

“I’m a werewolf, Sky, and I have been looking for my mate ever since
I became leader of this clan.” He paused to see her reaction.

“You’re insane.”

“I wish I were, it would be something that I could hope to be cured
of,” he said holding up his hand. “I’m going to show you something to prove
that I am what I say I am.” Then he looked at his own hand.

Sky rolled her head back toward him, and watched in horror as the
tips of his fingers began to elongate, curving in a misshaped disfigurement of
what once was his hand. Hair of a coarse texture emerged from the back of the
beast like hand, and it was then that Sky passed out. Anthony reformed his hand
and smoothed it down the side of Sky’s face. He stared down at the woman he
hoped to fall in love with, because the beast had already chosen her and the
beast was the one in control of this part of his destiny. He stood and left the
room, leaving Sky to wake and think on what she had just learned.

Anthony called a meeting of his pack, telling them to gather at the
ceremonial grounds before the midnight hour. The area was half a mile deep in
the thick forest, behind the Michelle estate and so well covered by the pines
that you couldn’t see it if you were going over in a helicopter and looking for
it. The ceremonial grounds had been there since the times of the ancient Aztec
Indian’s, when the first of Anthony’s people came to this land. He, like his
father and his father before him, and so on, ran one of the largest packs in
Central America, doing it with the help of his younger brother and sister.

When Sky woke up the sun had already gone down and the room was
layered in shadows of darkness. There was one single candle burning on the
marble table next to the bed and a fire burning across the room, opposite the
foot of the bed. Figures made of shadowy forms danced on the walls, driving her
mind wild with thoughts of someone, or something, watching her. She yanked on
the chains, without being able to do more than bruise her wrists more than they
already were.

Sky called out Anthony’s name, but he never came to her. The longer
she lay there the more she thought about having to use the bathroom, and the
more she thought about it, the more she actually had to go.

“Hello?” she yelled, at the top of her lungs, hoping someone—anyone,
would hear her and help her to the bathroom. If not, she was going to give them
more than wrinkled covers, she thought trying to flip to her side.

“Ma’am,” a soft voice said.

Sky jumped around so fast that she almost wet herself. She pleaded
with her eyes, giving the little maid that met them at the door when they first
arrived, the most pathetic look she could and told her she really needed to use
the bathroom. The maid looked out the door and back down the hall, then turned
back to look at Sky.

“You promise that you won’t try and escape?” the maid asked in a
low, but serious tone.

“Yes, yes. Please, just hurry,” Sky honestly pleaded without
pretense
, she desperately needed the use of their bathroom,
and she needed it now.

The maid rushed to her side and took the chains off the hook that
was held against the wall on a brass ring,
then
unhooked the chains on her ankles from the ring on the floor. The little girl
that couldn’t weigh much more than one hundred pounds, picked her up like
carrying a child, as if Sky didn’t weight anything, and told her to undo her
pants, while she rushed her through the door at the back of the bedroom, and
into a very large bathroom.

“I’m Kayla, do you think you can pull your pants down by yourself?”
she asked standing her in front of the toilet.

“I can sure try,” she replied and started pushing her pants down
before Kayla could turn around.

“Why do you work for a jerk like, Anthony?” Sky asked.

“It’s not a job. Are you finished? If he finds out I let you up,
he’ll kill me.”

“Are you talking about, Anthony?”

“He’s the one who said, ‘She better be here when I get back or
someone will pay dearly’ and I don’t want to be that
someone
.”

“I’m finished,” Sky said flushing the toilet. “You can take me back
now.”

“You’re not even going to try and get away from me?”

“Not if it’s going to get you hurt, besides where would I go? It’s
already dark out there and after what I saw before I blacked out…” she paused
remembering. “I’ll stay right here until the sun comes back up.”

Kayla led her back to the bed dragging the chains behind them and
was placing the chains to her wrist back on the wall, when Anthony stepped into
the room. Kayla gasped taking in a harsh deep breath of air, hitting the floor
on both knees, bowing her head as low to the ground as she could without
touching it, never clasping the chains to Sky’s restraints. Sky sat up, looking
Anthony directly in the eyes, pulling hers to a thin slant, thinking about the
things he had done to her, darting her eyes away for just a second, then
glaring back, as if asking a question that needed no words.

“How do you feel?” he asked, paying no mind to her being removed
from the bed. “I have so much to tell you about my kind, and I don’t want you
to fear any of them. Even little Kayla at your side is one of my
kind
and she is not frightening is she?”

“I’m not afraid Anthony. I just want to go home now.”

“You are home, that is what I’ve been trying to tell you,” he
proclaimed walking around the bed. “We may not be in love right now, but it
won’t take long after we consummate our union. I already find you very much to
my liking. Am I so offensive that you couldn’t fall in love with me?” he asked,
while he unchained her wrist.

“Anthony, I’m going to be honest. I might’ve fallen in love with you
without all of this unnecessary force, but now I just want to go home. I have
animals that depend on me to be there and a job that will call the police, if I
don’t turn up for work.” she explained, rubbing her badly bruised wrist.

Anthony stood up and walked to the end of the bed, leaned over to
free her legs from the shackles, “accidentally” scratching the inside of her
ankle. She hissed out in pain, and then sucked in her breath when he laid his
hand gently on her ankle where a fine line of blood was starting to form. He
raised the other leg up and kissed the area that was hurt then laid it back
down on the bed, then repeated the process on the other leg. Sky watched with
intensity as he lowered his mouth to her tender flesh, jumping right before his
lips touched her skin. Every fibre of her being wanted to recoil from his touch
but somehow she was mesmerized. He smiled and continued laying soft kisses
against her wounds, licking out over the area that he scratched, making her
draw a sharp breath.

“If I let you go back to your apartment, will you allow me to come
see you there? And will you come and stay here with me on nights that you’re
free from other obligations? You’re more than welcome to bring your animals,”
he said, setting at the foot of the bed, massaging her calf.

“Are you going to chain me up again?” she asked, pulling her knees
up to her chest.

“Not unless you ask me too,” he replied smiling at her, revelling in
the sweet taste that still lingered in his mouth.

A single drop of her blood had raised the beast in a way that had
nothing to do with fur and claws. The more he looked at her sitting the way she
was, completely vulnerable, the more his desire grew. Every alpha wolf wants
their female to be strong, but they also want them to be submissive and need
their alpha in every way, in either form, human or wolf. He knew Sky was pure,
he could smell it, and wanted to hold her in the highest of regard.
