Was it all that you expected?” I asked curiously, watching his face for his reaction. Arion thoughtfully finished washing my back, and poured some of the warm water over my skin to remove the soap. His hands found their way to my shoulders and slowly began rubbing back and forth over my tired muscles, relaxing me and resulting in me leaning against the tub with a sigh.

What I expected was you,” Arion began. “The woman I fell in love with. I expected it to feel as wonderful as I felt the first time I met you. I expected it to make me as warm as I felt the first time I kissed you. I expected it to be everything I’d dreamt of, everything I wanted, and to fill a part of me that had been missing.” He paused and leaned forward. Tilting my head upwards with his thumb, he pressed his lips against mine for a split second. “It was so much more than anything I ever expected.”

I couldn't have imagined a more perfect life or a more wonderful person to spend it with.
