"The usual?" I asked him, smiling sweetly. I found him intimidating from a distance but my nerves faded once he spoke.

"Yes, Highland Park 30 year, neat," he told me in his light British accent. I loved the sound of his voice, I wanted to hear more.

"Yes sir, I haven't seen you lately, have you been out of town?" I asked politely, hoping I wasn't overstepping any boundaries.
 

"Something like that," he replied shaking his head, he was smiling to himself but it seemed almost for show...
