Diandra nodded slowly. "That should be fine. I'll call
ahead and let her know. And we'll get back to you shortly. Thank you for your
time."

Adrian filled out the form, shook her hand, and gave her one
last deep stare that made her feel he could see inside her soul. Wishing her a
good day, he got into his car and left. Diandra stood in the doorway for a few
minutes after he left, both hoping he was the employee they sought, and praying
he wouldn't pass the background check.
