Chapter 7

O
n shaking legs
, Laurie stood under the showerhead and let it rain down on her. Grant was at her back, rubbing soft circles over her soap-slicked skin. Marking every inch he’d missed during their afternoon of love play.

There weren’t too many inches he’d missed.

And as delicious as his hands felt moving over her, she was a little uncertain. Rule number one, she’d learned way back freshman year, was never hook up with a neighbor. It was hard enough to see some boy across the dining hall with his newest flame, but to see him—hear him!—bring them home every weekend? Agony.

Laurie didn’t know how she was going to handle that with Grant. They were both consenting adults, and holy hell had they ever consented the fuck out of each other, but there had been no talk of what next.

Well, except for talk that led to the next orgasm.

Or twelve.

What had she been thinking? He wasn’t just her neighbor, he was her tenant! Her brother’s wife’s half-brother.

“Stop thinking,” he breathed into the curve of her neck. And that, just that one small brush of air over flesh, was enough to make her want him again. Even after everything they’d done today.

And that sounded like a sensible plan.
Stop thinking
. Just feel. Fall back into that blaze of heat that flared up when they were together.

“I have a confession to make.” Laurie reached around behind her to stroke the erection that was beginning to nudge against her ass. The groan he made was both flattering and humorous.

“Do I need to put you on my retainer?”

“No, nothing like that. Nothing criminal. Unless you count orgasm denial criminal.”

He made some kind of affronted noise and she enjoyed teasing him. As much or maybe more than she enjoyed teasing his flesh.

“Hooooo boy. Yes. No one should ever allow a woman like you to go without.”

She turned and walked back to the bench seat. She took a kind of vulgar pride in the way his eyes went glossy when she put her hands on the marble and spread her thighs. “Good. I’m glad you see it my way.”

“Oh, I’m seeing it.”

“To my way of thinking, you owe me at least two screaming orgasms. Restitution. We were almost there last night.”

He paused, hand stroking up and down his erection. “We?”

She flipped a condom packet at him and wiggled her hips a little to encourage him to hurry. His cock was a magnificent thing, and while watching him handle himself was wildly arousing, she wanted to feel him filling her up. “Yes, we. You were in that bed with me as sure as the purple one was.”

He grinned and moved to seat himself in her. He was long, and as he eased himself in, inch by tortuous inch, she wondered how the purple one had ever been enough.

He bit at her nape and she rolled her hips, taking him deeper that she thought was possible. “Oh, sweet saints and angels, I’d have to thank that piece of plastic if it weren’t mangled somewhere in our backyard.”

It was a small thing, that
our
he whispered as he moved in and out of her. Maybe she wasn’t the only one making confessions this evening.
