Not with Prom King!

I would just be drinking and drinking all night long.

I think about the Prom and how he reacted.  I was shocked and disappointed about it, but then what should I expect from a drunk, yes, thank you for the truth, wish you well.  Course, not stop being so naïve and wake up, girlfriend.

I stopped in my tracks as she led me to my table.  We both looked at each other with the ultimate surprise.  I cannot shut my mouth, it is wide open. He is sitting at the table with the name lonelysingle.  He is single, so it makes perfect sense for us to get on so well.  We always do, what does not make sense is the fact that we know each other and we have never related to each other at this level, only when we are on the Net.

Is that because we have no distractions.  Whereas whenever we meet we are full of distractions.  Full of noise that we never have the chance to concentrate on each other.  That is not true we have been in those type of situations.  He knows exactly what I am doing at this precise moment in time, when he shouts at me and says

Is this some kind of joke?

I reply
, I was going to ask you the same thing? Until, I saw you with the yellow tulip.

They both look at their tulip and realise that is a distinctive reason for it not to be a joke.  It still does not sink in, what has been happening for the past year.  That they have been talking as complete strangers, and actually they are anything but that.  Confusion is over their eyes and the waitress reassures them that is the names they gave and that is their table, thy both look at her and laugh.  She has no idea, what is going on, poor thing, Kimberley says to herself.

OK, so is someone going to come out with a camera?, I question

He says only if you told them to.

None of this makes sense, I say

How can it make sense, we were not strangers, we had known each other for a while, yet, we never  established any kind of friendship or the hint of a proper relationship, now we were going to a restaurant to think about if this person that we have been communicating with, if they could be something more than a stranger on the other side, of the computer.  When in actual fact we were never strangers.

I take a breath, and he knows exactly what I am thinking and feeling.  I feel completely nervous about it, I never did before, because it was different then, I was just meeting a stranger, now I am here, knowing and seeing it is not a stranger, this means, that things will change in my life, one way or another, I am not sure if I am ready for that.

Furthermore, I do not know if he is ready for that, we had tried, it is not like we had not.  We had tried on a friendship level and it never worked, now we were here, were we really going to take it to the next level.

I was not sure if that was the right thing to do, I just could not breathe, I just could not think, I was still in shock.  Not a shock of disappointment, I suppose, it was easier to make a decision, this way because we knew each other.  We could just cut through the chase and make a distinct decision straight away about the next stages.

He says, think about it – it makes perfect sense Kimberley.

As I lean to kiss him, I say off course, it does Michael, it makes perfect sense.

One Last thing………
