Blue Moon III: Call of the Alpha (30 page)

Lion already knew that Alpha had given Viper one of the Order’s many accounts to return the stolen money.

“Excuse me?” Viper balked.

“Do not question him,” Omega bit out, his attention now on Viper.

Viper went back to typing, cursing and grumbling as Pierce opened up the boat when the lake widened.

“Where are the men that hired you?” Lion went back to his interrogation.

“Gone. There was only three. They left, said that they’d contact us when the job was done. M-my phone is—”

Omega yanked the wet device out the man’s back pocket before he could reach for it. His swift touch startling their prisoner again. Lion indicated that Omega toss it to Viper to see if he could get anything from it.

“Anything else you want to tell me?” Lion asked. The question sounded exactly how Lionel took it. Any last, dying words.

The man stood to his feet, a last stand. “I will never do anything with them again. I swear on everything that’s holy. They said y’all were terrorists and I’d be doing my country a service.” Snot and saliva ran down the man’s face as he begged for his miserable life to be spared.

He was less than a man. A man that could be bought. Not worthy of life or liberty. It was Lion’s call, his decision. He looked to Omega and gave him a look that his partner interpreted beautifully.

Like the true serpent he was, lighting fast, Omega blindly reached into his flak’s pocket and gripped three black throwing darts. Their traitor didn’t have a chance to yell his fear before Omega bent slightly at the knee and with exceptional form and accurate precision, whipped his hand out in front of him, lodging all three sharp points in the weeping man’s throat. Silencing his cries.

Stumbling backwards in confusion and horror, the man gripped his throat. Gave the universal sign for choking, but no one cared to help him. Not even sweet Pierce, who appeared to watch with satisfaction. The man had destroyed his home for a buck; he had no compassion for him. Running out of deck space, the back of Lionel’s knees bumped the rail before he flipped over it, the splash of his body hitting the lake his final sound.

Omega approached Lion with his chin high and his chest puffed out. Lion placed a satisfied hand on his shoulder the other beneath his chin. When Omega’s ice-colored eyes were on his own, he leaned in and pecked him gently on his damp lips. “Well done,” he said softly without pulling back and kissed Omega again. “Man of glory.”

Alpha

Though there’d been a huge obstacle placed in their path, they were still able to get to the deserted airfield where one of the Order’s jets waited for them. Lion led them from the van, quickly taking in the area before they all boarded.

Stepping into the warmth of the immaculately clean, luxury jet was a welcome comfort from the bitterness of late fall in Virginia. It was as he’d remembered. State of the art equipment, including a large flat screen mounted on the wall adjacent to the hall that led to the bedroom and full bath. Plush lounging furniture, including two couches and several recliners. The bar was fully stocked and on top of the polished mahogany wood sat three trays of various breakfast pastries, bagels and lox. The Sangak bread was still steaming, fresh from the oven. Alpha’s mouth watered at the traditional Persian breakfast of feta cheese with marmalade, and fig jams served with Lavash bread. Persian tea was percolating in one electric kettle and strong coffee in another, along with a variety of fresh juices and bottled water. The selection was accommodating to them as well as their American passengers. He’d flown on these jets so many times, even parachuting into enemy territory from them on occasion. Good times. In his opinion, the best amenities the plane had to offer were in the storage compartments below. Plenty of equipment and weaponry, more than they needed, but it was a comfort to have, nonetheless.

He grabbed a water from the stocked bar and sat in one of the large, camel leather seats, Call collapsing down hard next to him. Alpha tried to keep his thoughts from running rampant. Bad thoughts. But he couldn’t shake the feeling that something awful was going to happen… not to him… but to his heart. Hibernate your heart. He took in a deep breath and blew out the doubt on his exhale. All he had to do was follow his master’s teachings and he’d prevail once again.

“Take off immediately,” Lion instructed the pilot, then closed the cabin door. Pushing his hood back, he led Omega into the bedroom and closed the partition behind them. Smiling at how well his brother was being cared for, Alpha guessed that settled who was going to have the luxury of resting in a comfortable bed for their long flight.

The bright lights of the cabin were turned down to a warm glow and the jet’s engine whirred as it took off at an astonishing speed down the runway, gliding into the air gracefully and rocketing quickly to the required elevation to keep them above radar. Though the jet was powerful, the ride was as smooth and quiet as riding in a Mercedes.

“You hungry?” Alpha asked Call.

“Not really,” Call answered, his eyes still closed while his head rested heavily in his palm.

“You should eat and hydrate.”

“I know. Just wanna wait until the plane levels out.”

“I know,” Hawk grumbled. “Damn, how high is he climbing? Till he reaches Heaven?”

“The plane has a coating on it that absorbs radar, so he’s not going as high as you think. He’ll level out at thirty thousand feet, just to be safe,” Alpha informed everyone.

Pierce was quiet, staring out the window throughout the entire ascent. Alpha felt bad for him. He wasn’t supposed to be on this plane, on this mission, but where else was he going to go? The home he’d built over the last few years with his partner had been destroyed in a matter of minutes and he couldn’t help but feel slightly responsible. It was his rogue brothers who did this. Alpha had more than enough money to build Pierce’s house again, bigger and better than before, if the man so desired.

“Pierce,” Alpha called out, all heads turning to him. When Pierce’s sad blue eyes finally looked to him, his apology got stuck in his throat. Clearing it with a small cough, he spoke in as calming a voice as he could muster, “I’m greatly sorry for what happened to your home.”

Pierce’s smile didn’t reach his eyes. His mouth worked but nothing came out. There was only a slight nod as tears formed in the corners of his eyes. Hawk pulled Pierce into his arms and folded him close to him so Pierce’s face was hidden in the crook of his neck. Alpha saw the small man’s shoulders shaking as he released his frustration. He could hear Hawk murmuring in Pierce’s ear but couldn’t make out what he was saying. He turned his head away and gave them their moment. Let Hawk console his husband in peace.

The seatbelt sign was turned off and Viper was the first to stand and make a cup of coffee. Alpha made a beeline to the pastries and tea. He fixed two heaping plates of food and fresh fruit, setting one in front of Call. “Eat. You have to keep up your strength.”

Like him, most of the men probably had a sour taste in their mouth from the shaky start of this mission, but everyone ate like it was their last meal for days. It just might be.

Lion

Lion removed all of Omega’s clothes, still damp from dragging their captive through the lake to get inside the boat. His cherished looked exhausted and Lion was berating himself for keeping them up all night, selfishly taking what he’d been craving for weeks.

“I should’ve made us rest last night,” he muttered while he washed Omega’s body first and then his face with a warm rag. He removed the basin from the side of the bed and pulled back the plush cream duvet, urging Omega inside the comfort of the warm sheets.

“I wanted what we did last night. I needed it, too.” Omega scowled. “What you should’ve done was exactly what you did. Stop doubting yourself. There was no way for you to know we were going to have to fight early this morning.”

Lion’s weary sigh was his reply.

“Join me.” Omega held the cover up, his clean, glistening body calling to Lion’s flesh.

How would he ever be able to refuse this man? He removed his own heavy flak jacket and untied his cloak. He never took his eyes of Omega when he loosened the drawstring of his pants, letting them sag around his hips. He didn’t remove his boots or take his pants all the way off. With his feet hanging off the bed, he pushed the covers down Omega’s body and started placing soft kisses along his firm abs and up to his neck.

Omega moaned so prettily for him. His neck arching for more kisses, his hands tangled in Lion’s hair, pulling him closer to that delectable mouth.

Oh the gods. Lion wanted back inside him so bad, but he’d wait. He’d make that his reward for being victorious. He had no doubt he would be. Regardless how his dick throbbed in his loose pants, Omega had been up all night, had run a five-mile trek, then charged up the side of a mountain and back down, dragging dead weight behind him. He was not so selfish as to try to take Omega again. The amazing man needed food and rest.

“I’m not tired. I’m good. I just need you,” Omega whispered in Lion’s ear, kissing that sensitive spot behind it.

“You have me.” Lion inched down Omega’s flexible body, his own cock dragging along his muscular thigh. Omega’s perfect dick was like stone and crying for his mouth. Lion licked the thick bead of precome and savored the thrilling flavor of his warrior, right before he swallowed Omega’s cock whole. The gasp, then the shout of pleasure was no doubt heard by the other passengers, but Lion had one focus right now and it was to relax his partner. Omega needed release, then he’d be able to rest. Lion didn’t waste time with niceties or subtlety. He held Omega’s tight balls in the palm of his hand and kneaded them roughly while he bobbed up and down with purpose.

“Oh fuck. Too much, too much! I’m not going to... fuck!”

Omega’s upper body came up off the mattress from the overwhelming pleasure and Lion used a firm hand to push him back down while he sucked even faster, going to the base and burying his nose in the soft patch of hair, swallowing like that cock held the sweetest honey. Omega grunted hard and thrust his hips a couple times before he exploded in Lion’s mouth, praising his name as he did.

He didn’t pull his mouth off until Omega’s cock was fully deflated and his breathing evened out. Lion climbed back up Omega’s body like a stalking cat, staring into drooping eyes. Lion smiled brilliantly because it was exactly the reaction he was going for.

“Let me have you,” Omega said drowsily. His fingers dancing lightly over Lion’s chest before he dropped them down to his sides.

Lion just stared down on him until Omega drifted off to sleep, making sure his face was the last image he saw before submitting to his slumber. He’d let his partner have an hour power nap then he’d bring him some breakfast.
