Blue Moon: Too Good to Be True (26 page)

“What type of story? Your father-in-law didn’t hit on you, did he? Did Angel have to challenge his father to a dual for your heart?” Ryker was cracking himself up.

“You’re on speakerphone, asshole,” Max said drily.

“No, Ryker, I didn’t fight my father for Max, but your brother did defend my honor to a few homophobic street thugs,” Angel’s deep voice came across the line.

“Oh wow, sorry Angel. I was just teasing him…you know me…that’s what I do. So Max was kicking ass and taking names again, huh. I’m looking forward to that story.” Ryker tried to recover.

“It’s cool, how’d your weekend go? I’ve been told that you have one sexy piece of jewelry around your neck…I guess congratulations are in order,”

Angel said.

“News travels fast huh?” Ryker fingered the thick platinum link chain around his long neck. Each link was encrusted with a two-carat green diamond stud. It was masculine and beautiful at the same time. Ryker loved the weight of it too. It was a constant reminder that he was claimed. “Thanks man, yeah everything is real cool, I’m glad I let my guard down and heard the big guy out. I know I’ll never regret it.” Ryker tried not to sound too mushy.

“Looks like we’ve got some celebrating to do when we get back. How about meeting up for lunch at the club?” Max suggested cheerfully.

“Sounds good, bro. We’ll be there tomorrow at one o’clock. ’Bye, Max.

Take it easy, Angel.”

“’Bye, Ryke.”

“Deuces.” Angel responded last.

As soon as he hung up he heard his front door open and close, then the rustling of bags dropping to the floor. Ryker placed the cordless phone in the base and felt a thick biceps wrap around his throat and pull him back against the couch. Hot breath was on his neck, coarse beard stubble scratched

against his cheek…it felt fantastic. He let his Master do what he wanted to him, that was his role, to please this powerful man.

A thick tongue licked a path from the back of his neck around to his Adam’s apple. Ryker’s breathing began to pick up, and that wasn’t the only part of him that went up. Ryker dug his hands into his loose exercise shorts.

One hand gripped his dick, and the other moved his tight balls around in their sac.

“Did you miss me, boy?” Bass purred deeply in his ear, shoving his tongue inside to drive Ryker crazy. His ears were supersensitive, almost like a G-spot for him.

“Fuck…yes, Master.” Ryker thrust his hips up, his cock sliding deliciously in his hand that was now slick with precome.

“Mmmm…I missed you too my sweet boy.” Bass grabbed a hunk of flesh on Ryker’s neck and bit down hard, causing Ryker’s dick to throb in his own palm. “Don’t you come boy,” Bass commanded softly. “So fucking sexy…mmmm, look at you.” Bass took one of Ryker’s hard nipples in between two fingers and pinched it hard.

“Ohh God, please let me come sir.” Ryker’s strokes increased inside his shorts.

“Pull out that beautiful cock and let me watch you fuck your hand, boy,”

Bass said. His voice was rough.

Ryker did what he was told and released his cock from his shorts. His cock head glistened from its natural lubrication and blushed red. “Master, I’m close. Talk to me, please. Let me hear your voice.”

“You like to hear me talk, boy? Does my voice turn you on?”

“Yes, sir.” Ryker said, already out of breath.

“That’s right, boy. That’s the way it should be. Love how you respond to me, baby.” Bass kept talking and purring into Ryker’s ear, until his hips started thrusting his dick in and out of his hand.

“Uhhh…fucckk…it’s coming, it’s coming! Master, please,” Ryker begged.

“Come now, boy,” Bass growled.

Come shot up out of Ryker’s shaft and landed on his hairless, toned chest. He milked his cock repeatedly. Making lazy strokes as he came down from his orgasm. He lay motionless for a few seconds while trying to calm his racing heart. His Master Dom knew what he needed already. Ryker was going to enjoy this man for the rest of his life, hopefully. He was already in love and he knew it…he was just afraid to say it so soon.

Bass ran a single digit through the come on Ryker’s chest and brought it up to his own lips, tasting his boy. “Mmmm. Mine.”

“Fuck, that’s hot.” Ryker moaned as his Dom stuck his long tongue out to share Ryker’s flavor between them. Ryker sucked on Bass’s tongue like it was a come-flavored lollipop.

“Go get yourself cleaned up sexy boy, and then you can fix dinner. I want to watch a video with you before I leave.”

“Don’t!” The command flew out of Ryker’s mouth before it could go through his mind-to-mouth filter. Ryker couldn’t look in his Master’s eyes, fearing rejection might be lurking there. Ryker righted his cock in his shorts and used his tossed T-shirt to wipe the remaining come off his chest. He stood, but his eyes were still diverted when his Master came around the couch to stand in front of him.

I real y shouldn’t have just blurted that out. Fuck.
But Ryker knew he couldn’t let Bass walk out that door tonight and leave him there alone in an empty bed, needing and wanting the security and warmth his Master provided.

Ryker’s heart stopped beating in his chest when his Master’s eyes continued to stare at him, his mouth set in a firm line…not moving or responding.

That was so stupid…I should’ve known it would be too soon for something like that.

Ryker was desperately trying to think of a way to backtrack and retract his statement.

Bass stood in front of him. Ryker looked down at his bare feet and his shaking hands as he wiped his spent come off his chest. Bass put his fist under Ryker’s chin and slowly lifted his head to meet Bass’ stare.

“What was that, sweet boy…don’t what?” Bass inquired quietly, his voice thick with what Ryker thought was hope. “Say it,” he commanded.

“P-please stay, sir…or Jesus…take me with you. Just don’t leave me,”

Ryker stammered. His eyes struggled to stay focused and not leak the tears that were forming in them.
For fuck’s sake…I probably sound like a needy bitch.

Just when Ryker didn’t think he could stand the anticipation any longer.

“I won’t ever leave you, boy. Not until you force me to leave, and even then, I will just watch you from afar,” Bass spoke into his ear.

Ryker felt a firm hand on the back of his neck, assuring him that he was protected…body, heart, and soul. He was smothered into his Master’s large frame and stroked tenderly. Ryker trembled as Bass murmured comforting words to ease him. Ryker never felt so cared for, all of his needs met, and most of all loved.

“It’s okay, sweetheart. You’re mine, you belong to me.” Bass continued to stroke him and whisper. “Ryker you have no idea how long I’ve searched for you. I’ve been all over the world, and I’ve never found anyone like you. I want us to begin to build our lives together too, but I needed to make sure you were comfortable with that. But I assure you, I’ve wanted it from the moment I stared into your beautiful eyes in that club. You wear my collar, boy. I will always be with you as long as you allow me.” Bass paused. “I love you, Ryker Strong.”

Ryker knew every emotion he was feeling played theatrically across his handsome face. His Dom watched him intently. Everything that he’d dreamed of, and given up on finding, had come to him tenfold.

Ryker pulled back from the loving embrace and looked into Bass’s serious eyes. “Sebastian, my Master… I am in love with you too.” Ryker choked on a strangled sob. He fought through his tears and continued. “I’m honored to wear your collar, I am honored you chose me. I will follow you wherever you go. I will make it my life to please and serve you as we live our lives together.”

Ryker’s quivering lips were attacked with ferocity. Strong hands were touching everywhere they could reach. The kiss got hot and frantic before he had to pull back abruptly, needing oxygen.

“Go to the bedroom, get on your knees and wait for me…now,” Bass commanded.

Ryker saw primal need and desire swimming in his Master’s beautiful eyes. He knew Bass needed to claim Ryker again.

PART THREE

Chapter Twenty-One

Bass, Max, and Ryker sat at the bar in Blue Moon drinking beer. They weren’t able to get together for lunch but they all agreed to a late dinner. It was six o’clock and Angel’s staff was getting the club ready to open Thursday after being closed for a week. They’d been laughing for over three hours while they caught each other up on their exciting weekends. Max told Ryker and Bass about their fight with the brainless motley crew of Washington, D.C. and Angel’s crazy uncles.

Ryker said he really liked Max’s new nickname and the meaning behind how he’d earned it, but to his big brother he would always be his little “Grunt.” Ryker was a little closed-mouthed on the events of their weekend.

One thing Max couldn’t help but comment on was the extremely expensive piece of jewelry around his brother’s neck. “Fuck, Bass, that had to cost you a small fortune, man.” Max ran his fingers over the precious metal, getting a closer look at the green diamonds. Although Bass knew he didn’t have to get too close—they were freaking huge. “Did you get it made with green diamonds to match Ryker’s eyes, Romeo?” Max clasped his hands under his chin and batted his lashes, teasing Bass.

“No, smart ass. I actually designed this collar eight years ago when I was in Cuba. The cost is irrelevant because there is nothing more valuable than the man I have in my life right now. This collar is not even a fraction of his worth to me.” Bass stood protectively by Ryker’s side, and gazed into his eyes as if his world now shone brighter with Ryker in it. It was fate that he chose the green diamonds over the chocolate ones. They were perfect for Ryker’s beautiful, emerald, green eyes.

“Oh God…you two can’t say shit about me and Angel’s mushy talk. You guys have got us beat as the world’s most nauseating couple.” Max put both his hands around his neck as if he was choking himself. “But I love you big brother, and I’m happy for you. You deserve this and a whole lot more.” The two brothers embraced and kissed each other on the cheeks.

“What’s Angel doing, up there?” Ryker inquired. Angel had been in his office for the last hour.

“He’s trying to finalize some paperwork on the new clubs he just purchased a few blocks down. Someone vandalized one of the clubs,” Sam stated matter-of-factly from behind the bar.

“What the hell?” Bass stepped back from holding his boy, getting ready to head to Angel’s office.

“It’s cool, Bass. Probably just some street punks getting their rocks off by busting up shit. I’m sure the cops will handle it.” Sam still didn’t look too fazed by the whole ordeal.

“Sam, it is a big deal. I am Angel’s head of security, not only for his clubs but for him as well. Angel and I have discussed this. He should be telling me everything.” Bass started to fume, until he felt Ryker’s smooth hand on his chest. Ryker moved in and spoke quietly against Bass’s ear.

“Calm, sir. Angel was probably trying to give you the weekend to enjoy yourself. I’m sure he was going to tell you,” Ryker tried to reassure his Master.

“He should not wait to tell me anything,” he combated, but still enjoyed Ryker’s soothing touch.

“Relax, my friend.” Angel’s baritone voice broke through Bass’s rant as he made his way down the stairs. “I was going to tell you right before I had to take that phone call from my attorney. They have not picked up any suspects yet, but I don’t foresee any future problems. There was some spray paint on the side of the wall and a few broken windows.” Angel sauntered up to Max and wedged his way in between his legs. A deep frown creased Max’s brow as Angel explained the incident to Bass.

“Did they write anything specific? Did they just spray graffiti, gang signs, what?” Bass watched Angel carefully for any hint of nervousness or untruth.

Angel’s jaw twitched and his eyes narrowed. Bass knew Angel was trying to tell him without words to drop it.“What did they write, Angel?” Bass spoke louder. He would not have any secrets between them. He surely didn’t agree with Angel withholding important information from his partner. Doms believed in honesty and truth with partners, no matter the consequences.

“Babe, what’s going on?” Max asked. “I get the feeling that there’s more to this story.”

“They spray painted, ‘stop being greedy faggot—or else.’” Angel turned to grab a beer from behind the bar.

“Angel, you need to take this seriously. What the hell do you think they meant when they painted ‘or else’? I want to assign a couple of my guys to protect you around the clock. We don’t know who we’re dealing with, and if it’s one thing I’ve learned in the trenches it’s not to underestimate anyone, especially a jilted enemy.

“You’ve bought up a lot of property, Angel, putting a lot of people out of business and back to unemployment. The prices that you got these clubs for I’m sure didn’t leave the previous owners with much…if anything.” Bass was talking to Angel face-to-face, his concern and determination evident in his stance.

“Everything is fine. You’re overreacting, Bass, as usual. I don’t need protecting. I have offered to employ anyone that was employed at the other clubs I bought as long as their background and drug checks are clean. Only a handful didn’t want to work for me. I believe that is because I run a tough ship, not because I’m gay.” Angel stared at Max, who wore a deep frown on his handsome face.

“Darlin’, trust me. Bass has always done this. He acts first and asks questions later.”

“That’s why I’ve never lost a man…ever,” Bass countered angrily.

Angel put his hand up and continued talking to Max. “I’m perfectly safe.

Anyone that loses a business is upset, but it doesn’t make them ruthless. I’m sure that going to jail is not first on their priority list either. I really think it was just some kids with nothing better to do.” Angel shrugged.

Max stared at Angel, got off the barstool, and walked out.

“Dammit…thanks a lot, Bass. Way to scare the shit out of him.” Angel glared at Bass. He quickly moved from around the bar.
