It took me ten seconds flat to throw everything off that I was wearing and join her. She had her head back under the water, her eyes closed, arms raised as she pushed her back into the stream of water. I stepped forward and took one thrust out nipple in my mouth. She gasped then moaned as I suckled her. She placed one hand on the back of my head, the other on the tiled wall behind her for support. When I felt her weakening against me I lifted my head, pushing her back against the tile wall with a hungry kiss, thrusting my tongue inside her mouth to duel with hers. She wrapped both hands through my hair and held on tight as I devoured her, drowning in the taste that was Kathryn. She was like the sweetest honey, the strongest wine, and the purest water all in one. She had become the air I needed to breathe, the strength I needed to get through the day; I simply had to have this woman to survive.

I moved down her body slowly, kissing her where she liked it the most, in the places that made her knees weaken and caused her to make small gasping moans as I worked my way down to where I really wanted to be. As I hit my knees before her I looked up, reveling in the look in her eyes as she looked back. Her eyes were dark with passion, her breasts rising and falling rapidly with her hoarse cries. I licked my lips and if possible her eyes darkened even more. I traced one finger up her right leg, feeling the muscles bunch and tense as I made my way to the apex of her thighs. I slipped it quickly from the top of her moist slit to the bottom before tracing her left leg the same way.

“Daniel, please.”

“What Kathryn?”

“Stop teasing me, it has been too long.” I couldn’t agree more, so I used the two fingers I had just teased her with to open her up to hungry eyes. I glanced up once more before I delved into the sweet wetness between her legs. She arched back as soon as she felt my tongue on her clit and I pulled it in my mouth as I slipped one then two fingers into her pussy. Taking her quickly and forcefully to the edge. She grabbed the back of my head tightly and pulled me closer. I lifted one of her legs over my shoulder, giving me greater access to what I wanted. Her cries got louder until she was screaming my name. I thought momentarily about her parents downstairs, trying to remember if she had said anything about soundproofing in this townhouse. Her nails digging into my shoulders as she came brought me back quickly.

She pulled me up with the grip she had in my hair and pushed me up against the other wall. She gave me a look meant to sizzle every nerve ending before she took the same position I had just taken. She licked her lips slowly as she raised her hand to wrap around my cock.

“What should I do with this?” The feel of her hands around me was almost too much. I groaned and gasped as she rubbed her thumb over the tip, smearing the pre-cum down, using it and the water pounding behind us as lubricant.

“Put your mouth around me and suck my grá. Make me come for you.” She raised her eyebrows and smiled.

“Your wish is my command.” I engulfed as much of his massive cock with my mouth as I could. He fisted his hands in my hair; his head hitting the wall as he flung it back. He tried to stay still and quiet but the harder and faster I worked the more he started thrusting his hips and moaning. I felt his cock get even harder, his voice got harsher, his hands rougher in my hair so I knew he was close. I pulled him in as deep as I could and started humming, hollowing out my cheeks as I sucked him to his own orgasm. He pumped his salty essence into my mouth and I moaned. He growled, pulling me off the shower floor, pushing me against the tiled wall again. He slammed his mouth down on mine, thrusting his tongue inside impatiently as he lifted my hips to wrap around his waist.

“Jesus, I have to be inside of you right now. Are you ready?”

“Always, Daniel. I am always ready for you.” In one quick thrust he was fully inside, we both cried out at the invasion. He stilled for just a minute and I felt him throbbing inside. I moaned and thrust my hips to get him to move. That was the only incentive he needed. He lifted my ass with his hands, angled me just right so he could thrust hard and fast. He braced his legs just right to take both our weight as he sent me spinning out into space. I arched back, crying out his name as the waves of ecstasy crashed into me. He followed not too far behind, the final thrusts of his hips and the look on his face as he came sent me up and over one more time, before he set me back down on my feet. He leaned his forehead against mine and we stood silently against each other as our heart rate and breathing got back to normal.

“Guess we better get clean now huh?” I laughed and stepped back under the water. I grabbed my favorite apple shampoo and worked it through my tresses quickly. I heard him pop the top of one of my bottles, not realizing his intent until his hands were massaging over my back and down to my ass. I turned and looked at him, eyebrows raised.

“In the interest of saving water and time I figured I would wash your body while you washed your hair.” I shook my head and he shot me a sexy grin that I couldn’t say no to. Letting him have his way because next it was mine. Two could play this game.

It took us awhile to rejoin everyone down stairs, by the time we were both squeaky clean and thoroughly exhausted.

Chapter Twenty Three

(Daniel)

The weekend flew by. The townhouse was packed with people stopping by and checking on Tyler. Kathryn’s friend Taylor, her husband and their kids came up and stayed, John and Alex Hendricks swung by every day and stayed for several hours, Dr. Jacobs and his wife stopped by, Dante was constantly underfoot as was Joey, Cora and their kids. Kathryn spent the time making sure everyone was comfortable; they all had food and drinks, and were entertained. By the time Sunday came around she was exhausted.

I closed the door behind the last guest, turning to see her sit down with a sigh on the steps leading upstairs. I walked the couple feet and sat down putting my arm on her shoulder I brought her close to my side.

“You okay woman?”

She laughed softly, and leaned against my chest allowing me to wrap both arms around her. “I’m good. But Jesus that was a long weekend.” I kissed the top of her head, and then brought her face up to mine.

“You running around constantly made it long. Didn’t I tell you to sit missus? Pretty sure actually we all told you to stop a few times.” She shrugged and wrinkled her nose at me and I couldn’t resist pressing a kiss to her mouth. It was supposed to be a quick kiss, but as always the kiss deepened and by the time I pulled away my blood was humming for more. I forced myself to pull back because I knew she was too tired.

Suddenly her momma walked around the corner on her way up to bed. Kathryn and Lily were taking her and Jason to the airport before their Krav Maga class tomorrow afternoon. We made room for her to move past us but she didn’t go far. She sat two steps up from where we were. I couldn’t stop the grin, here comes the interrogation I was expecting all weekend.

“So, Daniel I understand you are an actor who lives in Ireland?”

“Yes, Ms. McBride, in Donegal.” She nods.

“And your parents?”

“They live in the same house I grew up in. It’s just outside Belfast.”

“And what do they do?”

“Mum is a retired school teacher. She used to teach music. My father is also retired. He was a barrister, mainly golfs and drives mum crazy these days.”

Again she nodded thoughtfully.

“So what are your intentions towards my daughter?” Kathryn gasped and whipped around. She had been so quiet up to this point I thought she had fallen asleep.

“Momma! Inappropriate!”

I laughed at the matching disgruntled looks that came over both women’s faces. Kathryn may take a lot from her father but over the course of the weekend I had noticed a lot of her mannerisms, the fact she talked with her hands and the little faces she makes came straight from the petite woman grilling me.

“No grá, I will answer your mom.” I turned and looked the fierce woman in the eye. “I love her with all my heart and my intention is to spend the rest of my life by her side.”

Instantly I had two teary women on my hands and no clue how to fix it. I pulled Kathryn closer and kissed the top of her head, then reached and clasped Gloria’s hand. She smiled down at me and nodded.

“That’s all I wanted to hear. The rest doesn’t matter, it will all work out. My little girl needs someone strong like you to protect her and love her.”

“Momma, I am not a child. I can take care of myself.”

“Woman, you know you need me, stop protesting.” That earned me an elbow in the ribs and a glare but I saw the glimmer of a smile on her lips. Gloria wasn’t so reserved. She grinned at me and winked before standing up and heading the rest of the way up the stairs.

“Take care of her Daniel, because no amount of ocean or charming Irish men will keep me from hunting you down and breaking every bone in your body if you don’t. She had had enough pain.” Yikes, okay. Did I mention she was fierce? Seriously not going to underestimate Kathryn’s momma.

“Yes, Ma’am. I will do my best.” She turned the corner and was gone. “Well that was interesting. Figured it would be a longer questioning.”

Kathryn snuggled back against my chest. “I need to check on Tyler and dad before heading up. You wanna come with me or head up without me?”

I pretended to think about that for a second, finger on my chin looking up at the ceiling. “Hmm…check on Tyler and your dad or go lay down in our comfy bed and wait for the sexiest woman I know?” She stood up and held her hand out to me. She knew me so well. We walked back to the kitchen where Tyler and her dad were playing a rousing game of scrabble. We learned the first night that Jason Scott was a cutthroat board game player. He took no prisoners and always had ways of sneaking in some moves that were highly illegal.

“Grandpa, that isn’t a word!”

“It most certainly is. Gooder is a word it means more than good.”

Kathryn handed Tyler the Scrabble dictionary. “Dad, it’s not an actual word.”

“Hey you aren’t playing this game. Go away.” He turned to Kathryn and stuck his tongue out. Ah, that is where Tyler and Lily get it.
Never too old for that move apparently.
His blue eyes sparkled and it was so hard to not love the man, even knowing how he let his wife treat Kathryn growing up. The man I met this weekend didn’t reconcile with the picture of what I thought he was. Jason was far from a weak, beaten man. He was warm and loving just like his daughter. He had a wicked sense of humor also just like his daughter whom he clearly adored. Definitely a puzzle why such a man would allow his wife to treat her so poorly.

While I was distracted with my thoughts Kathryn had gotten both men fresh drinks, set out a plate of cookies her, Lily, Gloria, and Taylor had baked yesterday and gotten Tyler his meds, all while arguing the merits of every word her father came up with.

“Dad stop making words up! You can’t do that, you’re cheating.” She was laughing as she stood behind her dad. He looked up at her and I saw the guilt, the love, and the pride shining in his blue eyes as he watched her. They flickered to me and I know he saw the questions in my eyes and his nod acknowledged them.

“So Daniel, what’s on your schedule tomorrow? Lily wants to take Gloria and I to the Statue of Liberty and the 9/11 memorial before our flights. You all tagging along?”

“I actually have a few meetings in the morning, I cancelled them last week and had to get them rescheduled. Maybe I can meet you all for lunch?” He agreed before turning back to his game. Kathryn kissed both of them goodnight.

“Well dad don’t keep Tyler up too late. No up until three in the morning marathons like you used to make me do.” He grinned unrepentantly up at her and shrugged.

“No promises. Now leave the men to their game woman go fold some clothes or something.” This earned him a smack and me as well when she passed on her way up the stairs because I couldn’t help but laugh. “I ruffle the feathers now you go sooth them Daniel. We will see you in the morning.”

I shot a grin and a wink in his direction as I followed Kathryn up the back stairs from the kitchen. She was in her closet changing when I walked in, I could hear her muttering as she moved around. She glared as she came out, hot pink lounge pants with zebra stripes and a black tank top were her choice of pajamas for the night and she looked adorable. She stuck her nose in the air as she walked in front of me but I snagged her waist and pulled her against me, nuzzling her neck and breathing against the spot that always made her weak.

“Now woman, I wasn’t agreeing with your dad, just admiring his humor.”

“That man is far from funny thank you.”

I laughed against her neck and tickled her sides until she writhed against me. “Say you forgive me.”

“Okay, okay. I forgive you, you big jerk!” I wriggled my fingers a bit more before spinning her and pulling her against me.

“Damn straight woman, now get in bed and get rest.” She threw a smile over her shoulder as she did what I said. By the time I changed into my own lounge pants and brushed my teeth she was curled up on her side of the bed like a cat. Her hair fanned over the sheets, one hand tucked in against her cheek and she was fast asleep.

I stood there watching her, feeling the ache in my chest. She had entered my life as if fate had made the decision, throwing us together at just the right time for us both. Lily turned 18 in another couple months, and was already talking about cutting back on modeling so she can finish her own fashion degree. She wanted to follow in Cora’s footsteps. Tyler was out of the modeling game, fully entrenched with the engineering firm. It was Kathryn’s turn now, and I will make sure she spent the rest of her life without any doubts how much she is loved.

I turned the bedroom light off, using the light from the bathroom to find my way back to the bed. I lay next to her and before I could reach for her, she rolled and snuggled against me. I grinned in the dark, even in sleep she saught me out. A man couldn’t ask for anything more. I allowed her steady breathing, soft curls, and warmth to pull me down into a deep sleep.

(Kathryn)

“Kathryn, my grá, I am leaving. I have a breakfast meeting and then meetings all day.” I glared up at him for waking me. He laughed and kissed my nose. “Ahh…my sweet woman. I am pretty sure I have seen that look that son of yours. So many things run deep in this family.”

“Just kiss me and go enjoy your meetings so I can get back to sleep.” He chuckled then leaned in to give me a thorough kiss. Just as I went to run my hands through his hair he pulled back, giving me a sexy wink.

“Hold on to that thought.” He straightened and grabbed his shoes from his bag. He was dressed in pair of grey slacks and a dark blue sweater with a white/grey pinstriped button down on underneath. His sleeves were rolled up to show off his strong forearms. He looked utterly gorgeous which was just hateful this early in the morning. I glanced at the clock and groaned. He had woken me up 6:30 in the morning, I didn’t do well with early mornings. He slipped on his brown leather half boots on then he stood up to grab his keys and phone, my eyes following him the whole way.

“See something you like?” He paused as he reached for his leather jacket and grinned over at me on the bed.

“Nope, just waiting for you to leave me in peace.” He walked over and placed a very quick, unsatisfying kiss to my lips then strolled to the door.

“Well I will leave you to it. Tell your dad I will try to meet up with them for lunch. Text me.” He opened the door and was half way out when I called out to him.

“Daniel?”

“Yes my Kathryn.”

“I love you.”

He turned grinning, and shot me a smoldering look. “Love you more.” Then he turned and closed the door softly behind him. I jumped out of bed and ran to the window. A black town car as already waiting for him and there was a small blonde standing outside the door, an arm full of papers and a large tote bag in her arms.

Daniel walked out the front door, jogged down the steps, greeting the blonde. He turned, as I knew he would and looked up at the window. He grinned when he saw me and blew me a kiss that I trapped before sending him one back. He repeated the trapping gesture before climbing into the town car, the blonde following behind with her giant bag and arm full of papers. Looked like his day was going to be full, and all because he stayed with me last week. The movie he had filmed nearly a year ago was set to premiere soon which meant a long list of appearances and interviews, things he had to reschedule because my family and I came first.

I turned from the window and curled back under the covers for another hour of sleep before Lily came bouncing in to hurry me up. She wanted to get on the road so we had plenty of time to show momma and dad plenty before they had to head to the airport. I sighed, sometimes I really hated morning people, moaning the fact I was now living with two of them.

We all dressed comfortably in jeans and sweaters with tennis shoes, grabbed a quick breakfast and headed out. Tyler’s boss had sent him some work to do at home on his laptop and he was excited to dive into it. He was starting a project with his team that was going to take up a lot of his time and energy the next few months and for the first time in a long time outside of his studies his eyes shone. Being an engineer was Sean’s dream and he had passed it on to his son. I couldn’t be prouder of him and all the hard work that went into getting his degree and his dream job. I gave him a quick kiss on the top of his head, only getting a quick response and dismissive hand wave.

Josh wasn’t happy that we were going to be out and about most of the day and would only concede if we agreed to him driving us to each place instead of allowing us to just walk to each area or catching a cab so we all climbed into the black SUV idling at the curb. Josh, Nathaniel, and Jane were going with us while Christopher, Matt and Mark were staying behind to watch the house and Tyler. We chartered a private boat out to the Statue of Liberty and though it wasn’t open to go inside we took photos and despite having the extra manpower surrounding us we all had a great time.

My momma and dad had settled into an easy, friendly banter after the initial awkward moment that first day. They had grown up together, were best friends and married right out of high school. I came along not too long after that. Reality and life had proven too difficult for them so they parted ways, shortly afterwards. I didn’t know how it was to have them together so never missed them as a couple. Watching them now I still didn’t miss them as a couple because some people just don’t mesh but I do wish they had been able to have this kind of friendly relationship while I grew up instead of the painful one, fraught with anger and disappointment on both sides.
