BROTHERS OF ST. BARTS a totally addictive romance read (St. Barts Romance Books Series Book 6) (16 page)

“Sven. Nils. You have the worst taste in men,” he murmured against her temple.

“Johan’s father is a good man.”

“But you didn’t love him.”

“No. I only seem to love the ones who leave.”

“Until now.”

Astrid took a deep breath, smiled at the ring and gazed into his eyes. “Until now.”

* * *

Sven grabbed Sunny the minute he heard their song through the dwindling conversation and rustling leaves.

“We haven’t danced in ages. And we haven’t danced to this since our wedding.”

With her arms around his neck and his arms clasped around her waist they swayed to the music.

“Where did Linus go?”

Sunny pointed to the solarium. Through the window, they could see two figures standing very close.

“It looks like he’s closed on another merger,” said Sven.

“You knew?”

“I had a feeling. Linus decked Nils, not because he embezzled from his company but because he said such awful things about Astrid. A man who defends a woman’s honour is a man in love. I still want to kick his ass, though.”

“You’re not jealous? Because you and Astrid have a history?”

“Not a bit. I want to kick Linus’s ass because he gave Lennon Super Bowl tickets for a baptismal present. The NFL isn’t proper fucking football!”

“Look at them.” Sven pointed at Liam, half asleep in the chair with Bliss and the baby.

Three happy healthy children, thought Sunny.

With a naughty grin, she announced, “The doctor said the stitches have healed.”

“You’re only telling me that now, when we have a houseful of people! Should we send them all away?”

“In a minute. Right now, I’m where I want to be. With my family. In your arms, my beloved husband,” she whispered.

“My beloved wife,” he said reaching down and kissing her as if they had all the time in the world.

The End

Author’s Notes

Dear Reader,

Thank you for following Sven and Sunny on their journey. They seem to have finally figured it out, huh?

I also hope you are as pleased as I was to find a way for Linus to be happy. And he is. Astrid is his perfect match.

Ah, Linus. Of all the characters, he’s probably based the most on my husband. Not that Alan is a billionaire with a yacht or anything but he has that same granite-deep sense of integrity and daunting work ethic. I was pleased to be able to give Linus his HEA.

I hope you like Liam. He’s like Sven before he was spoiled by Hollywood. Will he stay that way? You’ll find out as the series continues!

Speaking of which, before we get to the really soul-sucking sad stuff, we are going to take a look back in book four to Sunny’s past and her parents’ love affair. Trust me; the detour will be well worth it.

If you like the characters and the stories, post a comment or a review where you bought the e-book or/and on Goodreads. And tell a friend or three. Buzz from fans is priceless to authors.
