Her resistance lasted less than a second. With a groan of surrender and submission, she sank into him, arms twining around his neck.
Oh hell!
His addictive masculine taste—which she couldn’t cleanse from her memory—flooded her.

Her nipples peaked and abraded her thin T-shirt. Moisture soaked her panties and all she could envision was his thick cock pushing deep into her, filling her. She whimpered as his tongue stroked deep and with masterful control.

He cupped a breast and teased the tip with rolls and tugs. Her legs wobbled and, when she began to slide down, he wedged a thigh between hers, keeping her up. His other hand slipped around to the back where her flight suit was bunched, only to dip below it and cup her ass. Heat singed her through her thin shorts.

He flexed against her and she nipped at his invading tongue. His growl flowed over her in a possessive wave and she shuddered. She shifted against him, desperate to be closer. Remove all attire and be allowed to enjoy skin on skin once more.

As quickly as he’d pounced on her, he retreated, leaving her wet and waiting. Not to mention wanting. Chest heaving, she fought the urge to either rub her arms or—better yet—reach for him again.

“Just so we’re clear,” he rasped, his words low and gravelled. “I hate that you’re here.” He might have released her but his large body kept her penned in.

She snapped her teeth at him as she unzipped his flight suit to allow her access to his cock. He hissed when her fingers closed around it.

“Just so we’re clear,” she whispered. “I hate your chauvinistic attitude.”

“Clear,” he growled, jerking her close and devouring her.

Their movements grew frantic as her suit was shoved off and her shorts soon followed. The air filled with their harsh breaths and the sudden rip of fabric as her panties were torn from her body. Seconds later, he pushed into her with a single, smooth stroke.

“Yesss!” she expelled on a long breath.

“Two weeks I’ve walked around with blue balls, or else I need to jack off three fucking times a day thinking about you.”

“Not my problem,” she panted.

His deep strokes halted and she slashed her gaze to his. Hazel eyes burned eerily at her. She tried to draw him in more, wanting more than just the head of his dick in her.

“Oh, it very much is your problem.” His sentence fell like a warning.

“Gio!” she panted, undulating her hips.

He grinned, darkly sensual. “I love that from your lips.” He flicked his fingertips over her taut nipples. She whimpered and shifted with want. There was no warning before he slammed fully into her. A scream raced from her throat. He captured it with his mouth.

Talk ceased while he continued to thrust hard and fast into her. Breaking the kiss, he dropped his head and sucked her nipple into his mouth, shirt and all. His teeth bit gently, shooting pleasure spikes through her. She lost it, arching her back and coming hard, as stars exploded behind her eyes. Seconds later, he lifted his head and buried it in her neck as a low growl slid from his throat. She felt his cock jerk as he released deep within her.

His solid weight pressed her into the wall. She could feel the sweat gathered along her spine. She worried her lower lip until he drew back and glanced at her. This was how she remembered him. Eyes molten and full of passion. Lids a bit heavy, causing his thick lashes to give him an even more hooded, sensual look. She glanced past his shoulder only to tense.

The lethal and ominous beauty of the B-2—a blatant reminder of not only where she was, but also what she’d just done and with whom she’d done it.

Fuck! What the hell did I just do?
A hard gulp.
Again.

He withdrew and put himself away, still silent. His gaze continued to burn her as she shrugged back into her shorts—
sans
underwear—and grabbed the flight suit before bolting for the small bathroom. She cleaned herself up and splashed cold water on her face.

“What the hell am I doing?” She rubbed her eyes before readjusting her flight suit so it tied around her waist. “I can’t get involved with him. Unprotected sex with a fellow officer. Geez.” A frown crossed her face when she saw the wet spot over her nipple. “Damn,” she muttered even as another tug pulled her clit at the recollection.

“No more,” she told herself, zipping up the flight suit and effectively hiding the wet spot. Sure, she looked a bit rumpled, but she would be under control when anyone else showed up.
I hope.

With one final deep breath, she nodded at her reflection before leaving the room.
He
waited for her. Arms and legs crossed, he had a blank expression on his face.

“Something you needed to say?” she asked, striding by him and heading back to her jet.

“I want to know why you’re here.”

“Hard of hearing, Gio?”

“Don’t start, sweets. I don’t fly with people I can’t trust.”

She didn’t know what it was with this one, but her normally iron-clad hold of her control seemed to go extinct. Grinding her jaw, she whipped around to face him. The sun had crested the horizon and it bathed his body in a warm golden glow. Lust ricocheted through her and she valiantly fought it off.

“Then perhaps you should resign your commission because I’m not going
anywhere
until—” she paused, “I’m ordered to.”

He stepped towards her, each pace menacing. Thunderheads rolled in his eyes but she held her ground. Yes, he was seriously intimidating and pissed off, but she trusted he wouldn’t raise a hand against her.

“If you cost me the life of one of my squad…” He trailed off but she’d already received the message, loud and clear. “You’d damn well better be as good as you claim.”

“I’ve beaten all your top scores,” she snapped.

“Not a chance.” Arrogance was back in full swing.

“Yes,” she said, stepping closer still. “The day after it posted I’d beat it. So you may not trust me, but, like I told you before, don’t try to measure your dick against mine.”

Icy contempt flashed in his gaze. “We both know you don’t have a problem with the size of my cock. Which is good, because, while I don’t want to fly with you, I have no problems fucking you.”

Her body was pleased to hear that but, before she could respond to the rest of his statement, they were interrupted.

“I knew it!” a male voice said. “You two have already slept together.”

Mortified, she whirled around to find Lizard ambling up to them, a cocky and smug grin on his tanned features. He winked at her before speaking again.

“Guess that explains why you’re being such a territorial ass, Casanova.”

“Shut up, Lizard,” Gio growled from behind her.

She didn’t have it in her to face either of them, much less both, given what Lizard had overheard. With a frustrated breath, she got her head back in the game and went to her plane, determined to ignore what had just happened.

Chapter Three

Jaydee was going to ignore it all. Gio knew that without a doubt. His eyes lingered over the purposeful stride she had as she made her way back to the Spirit she flew at the facility. There was no intended seduction in her movement, just her natural walk.
Probably why it affects me so damn much.

“When did you sleep with her?”

Reality. “Let it go, man,” he warned, eyes never leaving Jaydee.

“Hey, far be it from me to keep the lover Casanova from a conquest, but you need to chill this attitude or everyone will know.”

He scowled. “She’s not another conquest, Lizard. I don’t need your advice on women.”

A derisive snort. “Of course not. Which is why you’re staring at her like you can’t get enough of her. Face it, Giovanni, that woman there means something to you. If you would stop being a dick to her long enough, you’d see it. Problem is you need to curb your attitude before the CO has to step in.”

Those words rankled and he scowled then sighed. He knew Lizard was right, he just…had no excuse.

“I’ll be civil,” he ground out.

That earned him a smack on the shoulder. “Be
nice
, Casanova. Be nice.” Lizard left his side and headed towards the bomber and Jaydee.

Gio crossed his arms and stared at her. She had yanked her hair back in a tight bun. He hated it, wanted to remove all the pins and let it cascade down around her shoulders. He wanted to wipe away the composed look and replace it with one of sated passion.

Jaydee barely glanced at Lizard, keeping her attention on the jet. He hid his smirk as his friend continued on out of the hangar. She wasn’t interested in Lizard. But when he was around her, her eyes remained on him, not the plane. He liked that.

He strolled up behind her and watched her work. She walked under the plane, a tablet PC in one hand and a pen in the other. Glancing over her shoulder, he frowned at the numerous equations that filled the page.

“What is all that?”

“Equations for electrogravitics. I’m trying to figure out what the hell happened to the plane that crashed.”

“Who are you?” he growled, spinning her to him.

Jaydee sighed and held the pad close. “I told you. Please, I’m trying to get my work done.”

It was the please that stopped him. He ran a hand over his hair and grunted. “I want the truth.”

Her nod was distracted as her attention had already returned to the tablet PC in her hand.
Okay, I don’t like her ignoring me.
He stared at her momentarily and noticed a slight furrow between her brows as she scanned the information.

“Jaydee.” He repeated it twice more to the same end. She ignored him. “Commander Amos!”

“Sir!” she said, snapping to attention.

It would have been comical—okay, so it was—if not for the scowl that leeched into her expression.

“What!” she bit off.

“Tonight, you and me. I want answers.” She frowned and glanced back down. “I mean it, Jaydee. I want answers.”

With a sniff, she waved him off. “Yeah, sure. Leave me alone, Gio.” And, just like that, her focus wasn’t on him anymore.

He allowed the smile to lift his lips. He liked her calling him Gio. A lot. Especially since she’d screamed it as he powered home into her. Hands in pockets, he left her alone in the hangar.

His day was busy with flights and manoeuvres. Again, he found himself continually impressed by her flying skills.
Perhaps she is as good as she claims.

At the end of the day, he hung out by his vehicle, keeping an eye out for the woman he didn’t know if he wanted to kill or fuck. Well, he definitely wanted to fuck her—it was the kill part he wavered on.

Jaydee was a cool cat up in the air—granted this was merely practice, but practice was as real as it could be, and her voice never showed signs of stress or strain. He’d heard her joking with Keel up there and
that
irritated him. The fact that these other men got to laugh with her brought out his jealousy.

Movement at the door grabbed his attention and he fought a scowl when he recognised his CO striding from the building.
Where the hell is she?
He lowered his gaze and fixated on his boots.
Is she avoiding me?

“Everything okay, Cassano?”

“Fine, sir, thank you.” The blue eyes that met his were sharp and assessing. Gio struggled not to shift under the scrutiny.

“Staying here overnight?”

“No, sir. Waiting on my dinner companion.”

He nodded, the remaining light glinting off his salt-and-pepper hair. “Night.”

“Goodnight, sir.”

When the parking lot was lit solely by the lights surrounding it instead of the sun, he pushed away from the trunk of his car and strode back into the building. His frustration mounted with each step. He passed an enlisted man and stopped him.

“Have you seen Commander Amos, Petty Officer?”

The young woman nodded even while her eyes filled with appreciation. “Yes, sir.”

“Where?” he demanded when nothing further was divulged.

“She was running a scenario.”

“Thank you.” He strode off without another word. At the door to the simulation room, he paused before opening it, then pushed in.

“Damn it! I have to be missing something.”

Jaydee’s voice overflowed with stress and frustration. Fully in the room, he closed the door softly behind him. On the screen to her left—his too since she had her back to him—played a flight scenario with no sound. Three whiteboards were to her right, full of equations he couldn’t even begin to decipher. One more was right before her.

Her hands were fisted on her hips and in the left she held a black marker. She no longer wore a flight suit, but a pair of baggy jeans, a loose T-shirt, and…no shoes? He was captivated. Silently, he sat on the edge of a table, waiting with hooked ankles and crossed arms for her to notice him.

She moved from board to board, making notes but never turning around. Her manner seemed to have a pattern in it. She tensed at a certain moment in each scenario. It was the same one, playing on a loop. He had done enough to know.

What made her tense each time?

“Damn it!” She kicked a chair only to swear another round and hop on one foot while grabbing the other.

“Maybe it’s time for a break,” he said.

She whipped around, shock at seeing him prevalent on her face. He dragged his hungry gaze over her. His uptight, normally together Jaydee Amos looked a rumpled mess. He loved it. An ear bud hung from one ear.

Her tortoiseshell eyes travelled over him. “What are you doing here?”

He pushed away from the table and strolled to her. “What are
you
doing here?”

“Working. You?”

“I’ve been waiting for you outside.” He realised how odd that was for him. Waiting on a woman wasn’t in his norm. “We were going to…” he snapped his fingers before her eyes, which had drifted back to the boards, bringing them back to him, “talk tonight about who you are.”

She furrowed her brow and he could see her processing what he’d said. “I’m… I’m busy.”

A short burst of laughter left him. Like he was going to accept that. “Sorry, sweets, you agreed and I’m hungry. Haven’t eaten a thing since lunch. Let’s go.”
