If he knew where she was right now, he’d go after her and give her the spanking her selfish, childish ass deserved.  Mind you, given her previous behaviour, she’d probably enjoy a good ass spanking. He could bend her over his knee and expose that pert round ass of hers. He could stroke her skin softly then smack her gorgeous flesh hard with his hand. The thought suddenly had Tex shifting in his seat trying to adjust the growing bulge in his jeans. It didn’t matter the situation, his thoughts always ended up with the two of them naked. Frustrated at himself and her, he smashed the van into gear and sped off down the laneway.

“Hey watch it!” Doc grumbled from the back.

“Sorry Doc,” he replied.

That woman was beginning to infuriate him about as much as he loved her.

As he exited the other side the sound of a bike behind him caught his attention. His gaze went straight to the rear-view but he already knew who he’d find there. Nikki roared up behind him wearing the same clothes she had on yesterday and a riding mask covering her face. He wished he could see her eyes and get some sense of where she’d been. For now he’d have to be satisfied with the knowledge that she was back and she was alive.

He wound his way through the city streets with Doc and Daisy in the back. They had planned the perfect location for their little drama to unfold. The place was both familiar to Black and set up just right. Hidden away, sound proof and best of all it was already equipped with everything they needed. Yeah, Lenny's dungeon was the perfect place for them to do this. Whatever it was they were going to have to do. He glanced into the back of the van and his gut twinged slightly. This was the part of the job he didn’t like but one that was sometimes necessary. One way or another they would find out who this bastard was. Bridges and all his men needed to die and then maybe he could get his woman back and give her the spanking she deserved.

Tex had managed to hot wire both the gate and the garage door which meant they would be well hidden from view as they moved Daisy into the house. The girl was still out cold when Tex and Doc manoeuvred her body down into the concrete torture room. They placed her unconscious form onto the floor in the middle of the space.

Tex hadn’t yet acknowledged Nikki but she’d expected that. She’d ditched them once again to chase after her own demons with no warning and no expectations. She’d planned on saying goodbye to them somehow, but maybe it was better that she put some distance between them. In less than twenty four hours she would be gone and it would be better for them if they hated her for it rather than mourned her loss.

Nikki sat down next to the unconscious blonde and closed her eyes. The uncomfortable semi-conscious drift that she’d had, hadn’t really satisfied her body’s need for sleep. She was going on forty eight hours without any real shuteye. If she was going to go through with this plan of hers she needed to let go of her conscience and slide into that dark place that was lying in wait for her call. She focused on Black, on what his brother and Roach had done to Sheila; on what that piece of shit and Lenny had done to all those women; on what Black had let them do in this house he paid for; on what he threatened to do to her family. That bastard deserved to have his world destroyed, to have the one pure thing in his life tainted. The darkness began to roll through her like a slow thick fog.

“Are you sure you want to be the one to do this?” Tex asked her finally breaking his silence.

She’d made the statement after Doc had given her instructions on how to keep Daisy under and how to bring her out. Nikki turned her attention to him. As their gazes met something passed between them. Nikki felt it tug at the darkness inside her. It was the shared knowledge that the pair of them would do whatever it took to get the information they needed from Black, despite what it might cost them. That she would not have to walk this dark path alone even if her motivation was different.

To a degree she’d seen that inside Tex. His dark and broody nature leant itself towards death, destruction and chaos and maybe, if it weren't for Trace and her, Tex might've turned out just like Cole. The idea made her mind spin momentarily but now was not the time for those kind of thoughts. She gave him a nod of her head and he turned his attention back to the laptop he was setting up. Nikki set to work untying Daisy’s bindings and fixing the chains around her wrist and ankles. Now they just had to wait for a signal from the others.

Tex sent a quick message to Trace letting him know that Nikki had appeared. He was still pissed at her and the massive void of silence between them only made things worse. He didn’t trust himself to speak to her about where she’d been. It would only end in a massive confrontation and right now that was the last thing they needed. When he’d finally spoken to her the look in her eyes had called to a part of him buried deep down. She was in that dark place, the place they all went when they had to do bad things. He’d always tried to keep that part of him under wraps around her but things had changed. Things had changed extensively and this new ground they were standing on was fragile. He didn’t do fragile and he was sure it was gonna break apart underneath him with every next step he took.

He heard the ting of metal on metal and turned his attention from the laptop back to Nikki. He watched her as she locked the manacles around Daisy's wrists and ankles with deft fingers. She'd known exactly where to position them, where to find the links in the floor for the ankle cuffs and how much chain she needed to hoist Daisy in to position. Her familiarity with the restraints gave him a glimpse of what she had done with that man.

"You look like you know what you're doing?" he commented before he could stop himself.

She shifted her gaze to him and something in her eyes made his blood race.

"It's not exactly my first rodeo," she replied.

He knew that to be true and while he didn’t want to think about that bastard hurting her, he couldn’t help his mind wandering further down the shadowy halls of his dark side. He wondered what she would've looked like naked, bound and hanging from those chains. As he looked at Daisy, strung up by her bound wrists, suddenly her form became Nikki's. Her naked body was stretched tall by her restraints. Her perky full breasts were thrust forward. The dusky points of her nipples were begging for his mouth and that greedy little pussy of hers was glistening in the dim light. Her body would be totally at his mercy and the thought had his cock throbbing behind his fly.

"Tex?" Nikki's voice broke through his little daydream.

He turned his attention back to her and that darkness in her eyes mixed with signs of desire as he eyed her.

"Did it make you wet?" the question popped out of his mouth without warning.

He didn’t have the presence of mind to regret it. He was already too far down the path and from the way her eyes darkened Nikki already was too.

"Yes. Being at someone's mercy, entirely under their control, it made me wet," she answered her voice slightly breathy.

God. His heart beat a little faster.

"Was it always about the pain?" he asked, because if it was, he couldn't hurt her not like that prick did.

"It wasn't always about the pain but pain was a part of it. I felt that I needed to be punished for that dark part of me that wants vengeance and destruction. I was denying it what it wanted and placating it with violence of another kind," Nikki explained.

They all had those dark impulses especially against those that hurt their family.

"And now?"

He watched her mental gears whirring.

"And now I know I have to accept that this thing is part of me. I need it to do my job. It protects me and protects the rest of the club. It needs to be satisfied somehow and trying to deny it will only drive me to insanity," she explained.

"Does that mean you don't want this anymore?" he queried as he gestured to Daisy hanging in the chains.

"There are parts of me that still want it and parts of me that want something else," she stated.

The way she was looking at him he hoped she meant he was that something else.

"Why are you asking me this Tex?" her brow furrowed.

Why was he asking her this? Did he want to do that to her? For her? How far could he really take it? Did he really have a clue what he was walking into here?

A buzzing noise distracted him from his thoughts. Nikki pulled her phone from her pocket.

"That was Brodie. Black's just entered the building. Time to wake up sleeping beauty and get this show on the road," she said as she slid a full face riding mask down over her head.

The image on the front was very fitting. Half of the face was an angelic woman with a blue eye and a soft smile. The other half was a skull. Its eye was a dark stormy grey and its mouth was turned up in an evil grin. The effect was nothing short of terrifying. He actually felt sorry for Daisy knowing what would greet her when she woke.

Chapter 6

Trace sat in the quiet apartment waiting for Brodie's signal. His thoughts kept shifting to Nikki. He was still trying to come to terms with Nikki's new role. There had always been something about her, something that set her apart, not just from other women but other people. He'd always thought it was the light inside her, although the darkness in her hadn't escaped him. With the world they lived in and the lives they led all of them had that streak inside them. He hadn't wanted that shit to touch her the way it touched him and Tex. He'd been afraid that if she gave in to that darkness it would swallow up the rest of her. He couldn't let the light inside her die but he hadn't been able to rid her of the darkness either.

He'd spent most of his life trying to save her from the darkness that bled into every aspect of their lives. Despite his efforts, somehow it always found a way back to her or maybe she always found her way back to it. Now he realised there had never been any chance of him ridding her of that. It was as much a part of her as she was a part of him. He needed to accept it and what's more, he needed to learn to love that part of her just like he loved everything else about her.

It was the part of her that made her jump in to every fight. It was the part of her that gave her the ability to strike back at those who hurt her family. It was the part of her that made her so swift and strong and deadly. Even he had to admit that when she'd leapt those tables and run through the hail of bullets to reach the guy behind the bar she'd looked beautiful, deadly but beautiful. His feelings had landed somewhere around pride, admiration and slightly turned on before the fear kicked in.

That he'd had those feelings had caught him by surprise. He'd always got a kick out of watching her kick ass but those situations had usually been controlled and the odds had always been in their favour. The meeting had been on an entirely different level to anything she had done before. He just had to learn to accept that Nikki was a soldier through and through. But that wasn't all she was. She was also a woman, his woman. His beautiful, loyal, courageous and loving woman.

His phone buzzed breaking through his thoughts. It was Brodie. Black had entered the building. Time to put his game face on. He slid the mask down over his face though he had no doubt Black would know who was messing with him the minute Nikki opened her mouth and spoke. He was relieved she’d turned up unharmed, even if he had no idea where she’d been or what she’d been doing. He checked the chair he'd placed in front of the table. Everything was set up on his end he just hoped for Daisy's sake that Black had little loyalty to his master. He placed Daisy's phone on the table and retreated into his hiding place.

The door to the apartment opened and Black wandered inside.

"Daisy?" his voice carried through the apartment.

Trace watched him remove his coat and shoulder holster hanging both items on the rack near the entrance. Clearly the man felt comfortable enough to leave his gun by the door.

"Daisy are you here?" he called as he moved through the apartment.

Black pulled his phone from his pocket and placed it to his ear. Trace heard Daisy's phone ringing on the table and watched as Black approached it slowly.

Black's back was now facing Trace's hiding spot. He stepped out of the pantry his gun drawn.

"Don't move," he stated quietly and calmly.

Black stiffened.

"Where is she? What have you done with her?" Black hissed the questions through clenched teeth.

"She is with some friends of mine and she is safe for now, provided that you follow my instructions," Trace growled back, "I need you to take a seat in the chair Mister Black. Move nice and slow with your hands where I can see them and don't try to pull any shit because I will shoot you and it will not be a kill shot," Trace told him.

Black reached for the back of the chair although it was already out enough for him to sit in it. The pop of Trace's silenced pistol was followed by the cracking of the splintering wood. Black's hand froze millimetres from where the bullet hit the wooden chair.

"That was your one and only warning, Black. You fuck around and you won't be the only one to suffer for it," he warned the man.

Black stood frozen in that position as if he was contemplating whether or not he should heed Trace's warning. The window opened and both Brodie and Jay stepped inside.

"Nice of you to join us," Trace quipped at the new patches.

"Better late than never right?" Brodie replied as he too pointed his weapon at Black.

"Take a seat Black," he commanded.

Black sat on the chair and Jay moved forward a roll of packing tape in his hand. Trace watched as Jay taped Blacks ankles and wrists to the chair.

He motioned at the table and watched as Jay took the laptop out of his bag and set it up on the table in front of Black.

“I’ve got him, you go back to the truck,” he gestured to Jay, “You watch the door,” he instructed Brodie.

The two men exited the room leaving him alone with Black and the computer. A video chat request appeared on the screen and Trace pressed the accept button before stepping back to watch.

Daisy appeared on the screen her arms suspended above her head by chains. The little blonde was sobbing quietly. But that wasn't what got Trace's attention, it was Nikki or more precisely the mask she was wearing. The image on the front was half soft smiling Angel and half evil grinning skull. How apt it was.

Nikki had given Daisy her last dose of Diprivan about five minutes ago. It would take Black at least that long to get to Daisy's apartment and figure out she wasn't there. That should be just long enough for their captive to wake for the show. Nikki moved the trolley full of tools in front of Daisy for dramatic effect. She'd selected the most sadistic items from Lenny's wall of torture. As she stared down at the collection of blades, spikes and other sharp implements she wondered how many of them she'd have to use before this ended.

Daisy began to stir. Her head lifted slowly and her eyes opened. She took a few seconds to take in her surroundings then the screaming started. Thank god for the gag. Not that the screaming could be heard by anyone outside of the room but she and Tex would’ve been made deaf by her wild shrieking.

"Stop screaming," Nikki commanded as she slammed her fist down on the metal trolley.

Daisy froze and the sound in her throat instantly died.

"There is no point in screaming your lungs out. The room is sound proof and no one will hear you anyway," Nikki paused waiting for the information to filter through the fog of fear and into Daisy's brain, "Do you understand?"

Daisy remained frozen and unmoving, tears trickling down her face.

"Daisy?" Nikki prompted the woman and suddenly she began nodding vigorously.

Nikki reached up and grabbed Daisy's chin firmly halting her movement.

"Now, I know you're frightened but I need you to listen to me okay?"

Daisy gave a single nod of her head.

"Your boyfriend is a very bad man. He killed a member of my family but he didn't do it alone. We need information about the man he works for and if he gives us that information we won't need to hurt you. You don't want us to have to hurt you do you Daisy?"

Daisy shook her head and more tears ran down her face.

"Good, because I don't want to use all those nasty looking things on the trolley here but I will if I have to and that is entirely up to him and you," Nikki stated firmly.

Daisy's gaze went to the trolley and her eyes filled with wide-eyed fear. At the very least the poor girl was not going to get out of this one without some major chinks in her mental armour.

Her phone buzzed a second time and she knew they were ready.

"Let's go," she gestured to the laptop and Tex hit the request button.

Nikki heard Black's growl as if he were in the room with them and the monster inside her smiled.

"I swear, you touch one hair on her head and I will kill you all," Black warned in an icy voice.

"Well now that's really up to you Mister Black. You cooperate with us and Daisy here walks out of this room intact. You don't? Well that's another matter entirely," she quipped as she flashed a large knife in front of Daisy's face.

Daisy shrieked with fear pulling away from the knife as best she could. Good. The more fear she showed the easier it would be to crack Black.

"What the fuck do you want?" He growled.

"Bridges," She stated simply.

Black really looked at Nikki then. He eyed her with a furrowed brow and then his face lifted into a smile.

"Aaaahhh, the biker gash. I thought it was just your pussy he was interested in but maybe it’s more than that," Black quipped.

She saw Black's head jerk to the side as Trace's fist connected with his jaw. She should've known he’d mention her connection with Cole. Once again she’d let the monster rule her instead of thinking about things.

"Talk to her like that again, I'll tear your fucking head off," Trace growled.

Black's head turned back to the screen and he wiped a spot of blood from the corner of his mouth.

"I see you have them pussy-whipped too," he commented.

Nikki heard Trace and Tex both growl in anger.

"Enough," she yelled the word as she walked behind Daisy.

Everyone grew quiet. She pushed her fingers into Daisy's hair and held the knife close to her face.

"Do not play games with me, Black. I'm the one holding the knife to your girlfriend’s pretty throat," Nikki warned.

She slid the back of the knife across Daisy's cheek down her neck and onto the exposed skin of her collarbone. She turned the blade into Daisy's delicate skin and pressed hard.

"Now are you going to tell me what I want to know or does she have to bleed first?" she asked raising an eyebrow at him.

"You already know the answer," he replied coldly.

Nikki couldn't believe the man was going to play games with his woman's life like that. Clearly he needed to be shown that they weren't fucking around. Nikki slid the knife along Daisy's collarbone. She felt the flesh give way and heard Daisy's pained cry. Black's jaw tightened and his eyes began to darken.

"You will pay for that," he spat the words out at her.

She knew that look. She'd seen it in the mirror many times. That was the look of someone contemplating murder and enjoying the thought. A look she probably needed to employ.

"Keep your eyes straight ahead. You look at me, you die," she whispered into Daisy's ear.

"You doubt me? You think I'm not capable of doing the things you let your brother get away with?" she asked Black.

Nikki removed her mask so she could look Black in the eye. She brought the knife up and pressed it into her captive’s face. She felt the tension in the room rise as Daisy's fear doubled.

"You psycho bitch. You are no fucking different than him, than any of us," Black growled in reply.

"You're right. I'm not any different," she was starting to come to terms with that fact, "and that's exactly why I will have no problem carving up your woman just like your brother did to Sheila. Now tell me who the fuck is Bridges?" Nikki accompanied the question with feral hatred in her eyes.

"Cole is Bridges," he answered her an evil grin of his own spreading across his face.

He was fucking with her. She was holding a god damn knife to his woman and he was fucking with her.

“You are lying, Black,” she accused him pressing her knife into the flesh of Daisy’s cheek.

Once again Daisy’s soft flesh gave way and she screamed.

He growled and struggled against his bindings, “I’m going to kill you, you fucking bitch! He’s Bridges’ kid for fucks sake. His old man is dead and now he’s running the show. I know he would like to convince you otherwise but you already know the truth and unlike him I have no reason to lie to you, bitch. In fact the truth in this case suits me far better. There is no one else. Just him and his psycho bodyguard,” he replied his face twisted into a cruel expression.

He was right. He had no reason to lie to her. Cole on the other hand had every reason. He wanted her and he would do anything to keep her of that she was certain. Her stomach twisted bringing bile to the back of her throat. She’d never been more disgusted with herself than right now. She could’ve killed him. She could’ve killed Black and Alvarez and Roger if need be. She could’ve done something to end all this bullshit. He’d gotten inside her head and she’d let him. She had so willingly fallen for his lies. She’d wanted to believe him because anything was better than thinking she’d been sleeping with the man that was destroying her life and the lives of her family.
