Squeak nodded with a remorseful smile as she and Falla stood up together.

“Twilight,” Kroanette spoke up. “You said Daniel isn’t using an aura sharing spell. You mentioned something along those lines after you offered this home to us. What did you mean by that?”

“Just what I said. Daniel Sorres is not using an aura sharing spell. I overheard Specca praising him greatly for such a feat, and I felt the need to correct her as what he is doing is far more extraordinary and worthy of much greater praise.”

“What does that mean?” Daniel asked. “I don’t understand, I thought what I was doing by channeling their love for me was an aura sharing technique. Alyssa showed me the spell diagram on paper too.”

“I’m sure she did show you what an aura sharing spell looks like, however an aura sharing spell does not transfer abilities and traits from those it draws power from. It would not grant you the ability to run as fast as a centaur or be as strong as an ant girl.”

“But… then what is it he’s doing?” Alyssa wondered. “An aura sharing spell is the only thing I could think of to explain him using our love for him the way he has.”

“Daniel Sorres,”
Twilight said with great admiration.
“You are actually the first to ever do what you are doing, and I’m still trying to fathom how exactly you managed to grab hold of such an incredible ability without ever having known it existed.”

“And what is it that he’s done?” Triska asked looking to Daniel curiously.

“He’s using a very rare magical art known as Synergy.”

“I’ve never heard of that spell before,” Alyssa said in puzzlement.

“It’s not an ordinary spell, Alyssa. He’s not drawing just from your love for him, he’s tapping into the very monster energy that courses through your soul. However this spell cannot work with humans, it uses a monster’s lustful being, their raw inner nature, as a catalyst. To put it in simpler terms, Daniel Sorres is so in tune with your nature, the monsters you are, that he’s able to draw the very magical energy that flows only through monsters into his own being.”

“Our very nature?” Specca wondered. “Our… monster energy?”

“What’s monster energy?” Triska asked.

“Every monster in Eden has a connection to the ether, be it small from ordinary feral creatures to large in the Darker Ones you know of. It’s a special kind of energy, found only in those who are inhuman and have a rather… lustful nature within. It’s rather potent in terms of power, and when that lust turns to love it becomes even greater. In a sense, it’s as if you are fueling Daniel Sorres with your sheer inner nature, and the more you strengthen your connection with one another the stronger his magic will become.”

“Our inner nature is what gives him strength?” Luna asked.

“So because we’re horny and are in love with him he’s able to use magic?” Falla questioned scratching her head.

“Basically, yes.”

“Wait a minute,” Alyssa said holding up her hand. “If what you say is true then that means when Daniel is using his magic he’s actually…”

“Correct,”
Twilight giggled.
“The sword and shield you’ve witnessed him wielding, the incredible power he’s used with his magic, it’s all from your inner nature. If you were to be blunt about it, he’s using a monster’s sheer lust as a manifested weapon. Or in this case many monsters and their combined lust.”

“Daniel’s magic is our sexual lust for him?” Kroanette asked in surprise.

“Haha, well, in a way, yes. That’s why when Daniel Sorres draws your energy into his being he's endowed with traits specific to your race. Kroanette’s speed, Squeak’s strength, Alyssa’s magical fortitude. He’s not drawing just your love, he’s channeling the very essence of who and what you are. In fact this is why your enchanted bracelets do not protect you from him, Kroanette. It’s not a magical spell that’s affecting you but in fact your own lustful nature. It’s your own body and soul giving Daniel Sorres your monster energy.”

All the girls turned to Daniel in wonder as Specca got off his lap and backed up a bit, all of them eyeing him over while being speechless at what he had been doing with them all this time. Daniel looked over himself in marvel, remembering all the times he focused what had thought to be their love for him with his magic in order to defend them.

“Daniel Sorres, your connection to them has grown stronger lately, as I’m sure you’ve noticed. The more you love each other the more energy you have before you to wield.”

“Does it really work that way?” Daniel softly wondered to himself. He stood up and looked over his body while wondering how he had managed to acquire such an ability like that. “I’m actually drawing their lustful nature as monsters for my magic? How could I have even begun to learn to do that?”

“It’s your own inner nature, Daniel Sorres,”
Twilight reasoned.
“You believe in the good in monsters so much, you trust them with your very soul, you’ve opened your mind and being to more than normal humans ever do. I believe, I truly do, that is the reason why you are able to do what no other human has done before. Using Synergy was only a theory as far as my knowledge went, it was possible to achieve yet none had ever had the remote potential to do so in all the years I’ve witnessed. I was correct in recognizing your potential, Daniel Sorres. You’ve grasped a thread of the magical ether that no other has, and the results have been quite extraordinary to witness.”

Daniel gazed at his hand as he remembered the look and feel of the magical gauntlet and sword he had created before, the summoned armaments fashioned not only from his willpower and desire to protect his mates but also apparently from their inner nature as lustful monsters.

“It makes sense,” Specca realized. The girls turned to her as she looked at Triska in wonder. “Triska, don’t you remember? Daniel wasn’t able to draw any magic from your love before. All of us were affected, but you weren’t.”

“That’s right,” Alyssa remembered. “Her love didn’t let Daniel connect with her like he did with us. He didn’t even see her in his mind.”

“Wasn’t that just because Clover got her yelling again and broke Daniel’s focus?” Falla asked.

“No, that had nothing to do with it,” Specca said with a growing smile. “It was only after she turned into a cambion that Daniel was able to see and use her aura like ours. You were a monster then, Triska. That’s why it worked for you after you turned into one. You had monster energy he was able to draw upon.”

Triska looked herself over in surprise then to Daniel as he watched her curiously while thinking about that. He remembered how before Triska turned into a monster he couldn’t sense her aura at all, yet after she did it was clear as day to him.

“It only works with monsters,” he quietly repeated to himself. “Those that have a lustful inner nature.”

“Let’s try a little exercise, Daniel Sorres,”
Twilight suggested.
“Forge your sword and shield once again, draw upon your mates for the power you need. See for yourself just how much energy is at your fingertips with their love for you.”

Daniel looked at his hand while flexing it slightly then around at the girls, none of them seeming to voice any objections to him touching their auras again.

“Um, is that okay with you girls?”

“Yes,” they all quickly answered, with Squeak squeaking in agreement.

“I don’t think they’ll object,”
Twilight giggled.
“The Synergy amplifies their inner nature to provide the energy to offer you, and of course that has a rather… pleasurable effect on them. So please, show us how much power you can wield from your mates. I’m sure they’ll be excited to find out as well.”

Daniel saw all his girls watching him with enthusiastic smiles as they too were interested in seeing what he could do, as well as eager to feel what his magic would do to them in the process. Not seeing a single issue with complying with Twilight’s simple request Daniel smiled and held his hand out in front of him, taking a small breath to calm his mind before he closed his eyes to focus.

“Have you felt the increase in love from them?”

In his mind he could see all the stars faintly shining from the girls, their glimmers and radiant lights beginning to grow as he focused more intently on them.

“I’m sure you have. Even when not trying to manifest your armor and weapon to fight for them surely you’ve felt their love more clearly as of late.”

The girls began blushing as they felt small bursts of warmth lighting up inside them. Their minds grew hazy for a moment while they tried to keep their attention on Daniel as he stood before them in silence.

“And last night especially, I’m sure you noticed. Did you feel anything different with them?”

Daniel remembered to the previous night when he and all his mates spent their time together in bed. As he thought more about it he realized that Twilight was right, that he had noticed something different all throughout the night when they were letting their inner nature run freely.
