When we get into the barrel room for the ‘reception’, I am surprised to find that Killian hired a DJ. With the Tates and the security team there are eight of us here and I wasn’t expecting music. Pulling me out onto the dance floor, he nods his head at the DJ and music fills the room.

Realizing what the song is, I gasp and clutch my hand over my heart. The song he’s chosen is ‘Take my Breath Away’, and it’s so sweet that I just about melt into a puddle at his feet. “Oh my God—it’s perfect!” I can’t get another word out because I burst into tears.
These are not unhappy tears—they are tears of joy. As he spins me around the floor, I give silent thanks to both of our families for being our Angels. Against all the odds, we made it.

In the limo on the way back to the hotel, we hold hands and kiss softly. “Thank you so much for today, Killian. I don’t know how you did it, but it was perfect. It was beautiful and I couldn’t ask for more.”

Running his thumb over my cheek, he smiles. “You’re the most beautiful and perfect bride I’ve ever seen. As you came towards me all I could think was ‘she’s really mine’. You made me very happy today, princess. For the record, you were right to stick to your guns. I’m glad that we didn’t get married in Vegas. This was perfect.”

Laughing, I poke at his chest. “Get used to me being right often, Mr. Brandt. Your wife is a smart woman.”

Lifting my hand to his lips, he feathers a kiss against my palm. “You’re quite right, Mrs. Brandt. Your husband is a lucky man.”

We smile and laugh at each other like two love-drunk idiots as the limo pulls up to the hotel. Stepping out of the limo, I smile up at Killian as he helps me from the car. Instead of walking me to the hotel, he turns me around and walks me behind the limo. I’m confused until I see the dark silver Range Rover with the gigantic bow on it with an equally large tag that reads:
To Mrs. Brandt, From Mr. Brandt.

Squealing with joy, I jump up into his arms and plant kisses all over his face. “Oh my God, oh my God! I’m so excited! I haven’t driven since we left to go to Pensacola and I really missed it. Before that, I drove the beater station wagon that Celine bought from her maid for me. How did you remember that my dream car has always been the Range Rover?”

Laughing, he plants a kiss on my forehead. “Princess, I remember everything about you. I’d be a pretty shitty husband if I forgot things this easy. I will never forget you begging your dad to throw you a big sixteenth birthday party like the ones you saw on that ridiculous MTV show about sweet sixteens and you wanted him to surprise you with a Range Rover. Him laughing in your face and telling you that he would rather give all of his money away to charity than teach you to be a spoiled brat was awesome. It only got better when he pulled up in your first car. That Volvo was the perfect choice, and my God did it bring you right back down to Earth.”

Burying my face in my hands in embarrassment, I burst out laughing. I’d asked for that after watching a marathon one weekend with Demi of
My Super Sweet Sixteen
on MTV. We saw every episode and Demi and I cooked up the ridiculous- and totally inappropriate- idea to ask our parents to go all out and throw us parties that cost a fortune. The Tates had shut Demi down just as quickly as my dad had shut me down, and until today, I’ve never thought of it again.

“Ugh, so humiliating. I was an obnoxious brat for five seconds and of course you were there to witness it.”

I let out a little scream as he suddenly lifts me into his arms and begins walking us into the hotel.

“But… my car!”

“It’ll still be here tomorrow, princess. But that sexy little blush you just got from that memory won’t be. I’m getting you upstairs right away to make this official.”

The few people that are standing in the lobby clap for us as we enter and a few of them call out congratulations. Wrapping my arms around Killian’s shoulders, I snuggle against his neck as he walks us into the elevator.

“You can put me down, you know.”

“Nope. I’m carrying you over the threshold and right into the bedroom.”

Giggling, I kiss his neck before giving it a little love bite. “You only need to carry a bride over the threshold of the house. We’re in a hotel.”

Stepping off the elevator, he chuckles. “Well, then, when we buy our new house, I’ll have to carry you over the threshold there too.”

I’m surprised that he manages to continue holding me without a problem as he slides the room key for entry. True to his word, he carries me straight through the door and directly into the bedroom. I let out a happy sound when I see that the room is lit up with candles, the bed is covered in rose petals that have been formed into a large heart and there is a bottle of champagne chilling next to the bed on a tray with two champagne flutes on it. I had no idea that Killian was this romantic, but he has really knocked it out of the park today.

Standing me on my feet, he takes a few steps back and stares at me for a minute before making a twirling gesture with his finger. Smiling broadly, I twirl around for him.

He grabs me as I come back around and turns me so that my back is to him. I shiver when I feel his breath against my neck as he rains kisses all over each side of my neck and both of my shoulders.

“I don’t ever want to forget the way you look right now. I’m half tempted to fuck you in the dress, but I don’t want to ruin it.”

Having him undo the buttons to get me out of the dress is a form of erotic torture, but I withstand it with a happy grin on my face because I know what he’s going to find under the dress.

As it pools at my feet, I hear his sexy groan and I know that my choice in lingerie was perfect. Turning around, I take his hand before stepping carefully out of my dress. Before we lose control, I pick the dress up and lay it over one of the lounge chairs in the corner of the room, walking slowly in order to give him the best view of my champagne colored lace thong, thigh high stockings and spike satin heels. My dress has a built in bra, so I am now naked from the waist up.

Turning back to him, I smile when I see the predatory look in his eyes. I walk toward him with my head held high as he alternates looking at different spots on my body. The second I get to him, I run my hands up the lapels of his tuxedo.

“Thank you for today, Killian. I love you so much and I am so proud to be your wife. You’ve made all of my dreams come true. I am so lucky to have you.”

“God, princess—it’s me that’s the lucky one. I love that you’re mine now, forever.”

Dropping to my knees, I open his tuxedo pants and pull his hardened length out of his boxer shorts. His mouth drops open, first in surprise, then in delight as I take him into my mouth and begin licking him. I draw it out for as long as possible, forcing him to beg before I finally open my mouth and draw him inside.

He loves aggressive head, and as soon as I’ve got him in my mouth, I go to work with my fist at his base and my mouth at the other end. I drink in the sounds of him moaning and crying out as I suck his cock, and when he slides his fingers into my hair, I smile up at him before licking the slit in his shaft repeatedly.

“You look so fucking good on your knees with your wedding hair still in place and all of your diamonds showing. Fucckkk. Baby, are you wet?”

Whimpering softly, I nod.

“Rub your clit while you suck my dick. Get yourself ready for me.”

I’m soaked and my fingers glide easily over my sex as I continue sucking him. I’m going for an orgasm now, and moaning with him in my mouth, I jerk him faster and suck harder. Catching me off guard, he pulls me off and walks me to the bed. Yanking the comforter off, he throws it onto the floor before lifting me up and tossing me onto the bed.

He tears his clothes off, throwing them all over the room, his eyes never leaving mine. Climbing onto the bed, he lies on his back and guides me to sit on his face. I move to take my thong off, but he huskily tells me to leave it on.

I grind down onto his face as he begins licking and sucking at me through the lace, and he growls in response. Leaning forward, I take his shaft into my hand and start slowly moving my hand up and down before taking him back into my mouth. I am careful to remember where my feet are so that I don’t gauge his eye out with one of my spike heels.

We lick and suck each other at the same speed, but when I start humming with his cock in my mouth, he bucks me off of him and turns me onto my back. Grinning down at me, he rips my thong off in one clean move. Grabbing my ankles, he stares at the satin heels for a minute before pushing my legs back toward my head. Letting go of one ankle, he grabs his erection and positions himself against me.

He stops for a moment and stares at me before smiling. “Now, you’re officially my wife.”

With one hard thrust, he is seated inside of me and I yell out as he takes hold again of the ankle he had let go of and begins thrusting in and out.

I whimper and moan beneath him as he slams in and out of me. The harder he fucks, the louder I get. Clawing my nails down his chest, I beg him to let me come.

He loves the pain of my scratches, and he shivers as he thrusts impossibly harder.

“You want to come, princess?”

“Yes—God yes.”

“Then come.”

On his next downward thrust, I come apart at the seams, screaming out as he keeps right on going. When he starts coming inside of me, the heat of his release triggers another explosion inside of my body and I keep coming right along with him.

When we’re both able to breathe without it sounding like we just got off a fast moving treadmill, Killian gets up and goes to the bathroom. Returning with a wet washcloth, he lovingly cleans me before taking my shoes, thigh high stockings and jewelry off. For everything he takes off, he kisses the spot where it has been and tells me how much he loves me.

After he’s got me totally naked, he shakes the comforter out, climbs into bed and pulls me into his arms. Resting my face against his chest, I snuggle against him as he rubs my back softly. Just before I hit the point of no return I whisper, “I couldn’t love you more.”

I wake up sated and happy. Glancing at the clock, I see that it’s just after eight. Sitting up, I stretch and yawn quietly, surprised to see that Killian isn’t in bed with me. Standing up, I walk to the door to go find him, but I hear voices coming from down the hallway in the suite.

Realizing that I can’t walk out stark naked, I go to the bathroom and get my robe. Once I’m decent, I quietly open the bedroom door. Before I take a step out, I hear raised voices. Familiar raised voices. Cocking my head to the side, I listen for a few seconds before I identify that it’s Demi and Killian talking to each other, and neither one sounds happy.

“It’s none of your business, Demi, so drop it! I’m doing what needs to be done.”

“You owe her an explanation! If I had known before last night when I overheard my parents talking about how you blackmailed Sloane into going with you by lying and telling her that she was broke, I would have told her not to marry you.”

“Then it’s lucky for me that you didn’t know until after it was too late to stop it.”

“I don’t understand you at all! I thought you loved her, but you’re lying to her. Why won’t you tell her that her inheritance was never touched? Did you marry her to get her shares of Evans Investments? That’s the only thing that makes sense, although why you would need such a tiny company is beyond me.”

Covering my mouth with my hand, I force myself not to scream. He lied to me. This whole time, he’s been lying to me.

“That’s my business, Demi, not yours. You need to stay out of this and keep your mouth shut around my wife. I want you to leave before she wakes up and finds you here. If you do anything to rock this boat, you will be sorry.”

My heart is beating so loud and my head is spinning so fast that I feel like I might be losing it. Closing the door quietly, I go to the bathroom and hang the robe on the back of the door before crawling back into bed and burying my face in the pillow.

Biting the inside of my cheek, I force myself not to cry even though my heart has shattered into a million tiny pieces. Stupid, stupid, stupid. I believed that he loved me. I’ve believed everything that he’s said to me, but obviously it’s all been lies. I have no idea why he bothered to marry me, but I don’t believe anymore that it has anything to do with love.
