” Cambridge said aloud.
“What do you mean it’s too late?” Ethan asked
frightened.
“The Apocalypse has begun,” h
e said and Victoria gasped. “If you follow me I might be able to save us as I have triangulated a safe house.”
Victoria and Ethan followed Cambridge to a bank tower as flames fell from the sky. The
y all hurried down to the basement of the bank and sat quietly as the electricity from the building shorted out. Ethan held Victoria in his arms. She then intertwined her fingers within his as they both said their silent goodbyes. They all knew that now the world held no more mysteries. A giant flaming sword hurtled toward them and just when they thought it was all over, an email pinged faintly…
