“No. I-I’m sorry.” She slipped off her shoes and unbuttoned her pants.

He realized he was fascinated by watching the slight shimmy of her hips as she slid the material over her thighs. Razziel tried to tear his gaze from hers, but when he saw her expression he could see she was still visibly shaken. The frustration he experienced before fell away because he tried to understand what she must be going through. Penelope did not know who he was, someone had come into her home, her sanctuary, and shattered the safety she must have felt. Now he was barking orders at her. This ordeal was not one he had any knowledge of how to handle. Razziel knew from watching humans all these eons that their minds and emotions were fragile. If the worlds they built for themselves were destroyed, then they either fell apart or they fought back. This one was on the verge of collapsing, and he did not wish that. She began on her shirt, so he turned around to give her a little bit of privacy.

“I’m sorry. I don’t mean to sound harsh, but the blood will soon attract scavengers, let’s say. You don’t want them in your home. If you leave your clothes here, I can cleanse this space while you wash away any remnants. Then I can also be sure you are clean of any taint he left behind.”

“Oh, okay. Well, I’m going in the shower now.”

Razziel
nodded and turned back around, sensing he was the only one in the room. Another clap of thunder shook the house, but by the sound he calculated that it was moving off. He reached out with his mind, feeling the darkness lingering from the daemon. He summoned the fire into his hand again and commanded it to destroy all the fragments of the thing he had destroyed. He threw the ball. It left his hand, breaking apart into tiny flames that latched on to the body parts and the blood splashes around the room. Larger flames ate away at the bigger remains, but the largest blaze consumed the woman’s clothes. The fire ate quickly and left no trace of the daemon, but did not burn the walls, the floor, or anywhere the blood had touched. Satisfied, Razziel listened for the woman and heard water running. He followed the sound down the hallway and through the kitchen until he saw a door that was slightly ajar. Razziel opened the door and crept inside. At that moment, the lights within the house burst to life and he could easily see the woman behind the clear shower curtain. Her lithe body with all its luscious curves inflamed his desire. It was one thing to be with her in dreams where her flesh was willing and her longing for him untamed. But being this close to her now, Razziel could not wait to reveal who he was. Asking her why she made him
experience emotions slithered out of his mind and was
replaced with a strong urge to claim her. No one else could have her.

Steam filled the room and fogged up the mirror. He observed her for a moment longer, taking in the bend of her back and the curve of her breast as she ran her hand over it, soaping it up. His cock hardened at the beauty before him. There was no more waiting. He would claim her now. The consequences did not matter because he had never felt such a pull toward another, even in his directive to protect humans if he was ordered to. Willing his clothes away, he wrenched the curtain from the wall. The woman squealed and tried to cover herself with a square piece of cloth. A look of pure horror adorned her features.

“What are you doing?”

He stepped into the shower, following an instinct older and stronger than he had ever experienced before. The water blasted against his skin. Razziel registered the heat, but it did not faze him. He focused on her and how beautiful she was. The water pelted her skin. The flesh on her nipples was puckered from the introduction of the cold air.

“Please don’t hurt me. You said you weren’t going to ravage me.”

Penelope’s beautiful hazel eyes sucked him in. Humans would have called them brown, but he could see the faint strands of silver mixed with the brown. If he had a soul, he would have lost it in them. Razziel stepped closer, backing her up against the black-tiled wall. He planted his hands on either side of her head, trapping her. The top of her luscious lip quivered. It took all his control not to capture her mouth and experience it firsthand and not in the dream reality. He pushed the wet strands away from her face, avoiding the temptation to touch her flesh.
Not yet.
It was too soon for that. She had to want him the way he needed her.
Razziel
leaned closer until his lips were centimeters from her ear.

“I could never harm you, Penny. I only wish to pleasure you.”

“I don’t know you....”

“Yes, you do. You’ve begged to see my face many times, and yet I never allowed you the pleasure. We’ve already shared so many nights that you know I’d
never
hurt you. Deep inside, you know that.” He pulled away and studied her expression. Fear gave way to curiosity. And that curiosity blossomed into disbelief.

“Those were just dreams. They can’t be real.”

“After what occurred tonight, do you truly believe that they can’t become real? I can prove it to you, if you wish.”

“H-how?”

Her voice deepened with desire, and came in quick spurts. The scent of her fear was replaced by the flowery aroma of her yearning for him. It made all his restraint even more arduous.

“Just a simple kiss,” Razziel whispered very close to her lips.

Everything he had done to Penelope in her dreams ran through his mind along with his original reason for coming to see her. No being had ever made him feel this way before. But the rage that spurred him to approach her had melted away, and it was replaced with a longing so primitive that he could barely remember that he was from Heaven. All that mattered was being inside Penelope and feeling her soft skin sliding underneath him. Razziel also knew he could not spook her any more than he already had and was walking a tightrope that would snap any second if he made the wrong move.

“Would you allow that?
A simple brushing of your lips.
That isn’t ravaging you.”

One cheek was sucked in from Penelope chewing on her lip. Each breath she took brought him ever closer to losing it. Razziel never realized how much lust could burn away at his insides and make him contemplate doing things to this woman against her will. It was not in his nature to act on those impulses. If he did, Razziel would certainly be cast from Heaven and branded a Fallen.

“All right.”

That was all he needed to show her he was the one from her dreams. Razziel had to be careful and not overwhelm her senses, lest she be frightened or panic. So slippery was the rope, he knew he could fall off if one thing went wrong. He pressed his lips against Penelope’s, barely believing he was kissing her. Her mouth was soft and silky all at the same time. He could get lost on this one sensation if he was not careful. Razziel conjured up all the nights he had been with her and gently wove them into her psyche, feeding her all the visions from his point of view. How beautiful she looked and the way he had satisfied her, even though he had never let Penelope see his face. Every time she had begged and had whimpered in her dreams, it had only made him want to dominate her more and yet it also drove the stake deeper into his heart, knowing one day he would have to reveal his true nature to her.

A small moan slipped from her lips. She closed her eyes and broke away from him. She rested her head against the tiled wall and waited to open them. When she did, the terror in her gaze had been replaced with intrigue and passion. “How is this possible? How can you step from dreams into…here?
How?”

“It doesn’t matter right now. All that matters is that I’m here with you. Tell me you don’t want me. Tell me it wasn’t something you fantasized about when you returned to the waking world.” The water had begun to run cold, and he could finally feel the chill on his flesh. He concentrated his power and touched one of the silver knobs. Once he did that, the water came out warm again. It would until they turned off the shower.

She stared at him and then glanced at the water. “You made it warm.”

“Yes. It’s a simple little bit of power. I don’t enjoy the cold. But you never answered my question. Do you want me, Penelope?” He traced the contours of her face, reveling in her beauty. She did not know it, but she had captured his heart. If he had a soul, it was hers too. Razziel took one of her hands and brought it down to his cock, holding it over his rigid member. “Can’t you see how much I want you?”

“What happens if we… Will it give you power over me?”

“Not unless you want it to. Let me make love to you, Penelope, and you will not regret it. Our union will be better than your dreams.” He pressed her hand again to his prick. This time her lip caught between her teeth, and she squeezed him.

“I never imagined this. I never thought you could be real.”

“Now you know I am. Just one
word,
and I can make all your desires come true.” He leaned in and kissed her lightly again. The water sliding down his back stirred his passions even more, but the blood in him ran cold. It took all of his restraint to keep from taking her right there. Razziel broke the kiss and trailed his mouth over her cheek, savoring the suppleness of her skin. He could taste the tang of the soap she used and the citrus flavor of her flesh. He took a risk and breathed onto her skin. The little mixture of breath and power made Penelope tremble with need.

“What’s your name? You’ve never told me.”

“It’s Razziel.”

“That’s unusual. What are you?” Penelope took her hand from his cock and touched his cheek. The very soft touch made him close his eyes in ecstasy, and it roused the passion he could barely keep under wraps. “You seem real. What happened earlier was real, wasn’t it? That thing was going to take me.”

“Yes, it was all real. This is all real. I can’t reveal what I am to you right now. You need to make up your mind if you will yield to me. If you don’t, then we can’t have this. We can’t be together. Do you want me?” he asked.

Razziel watched her, praying she would say yes. Penelope bit her cheek again, hard enough that he could smell the coppery scent of blood. If he could wipe away the memory of the daemon from her mind he would, but tampering with human minds was not something he was willing to try, and it was tricky. It could cause damage, and he wanted no harm to come to her. All he needed was to be inside of her and hear her call his name. All those nights they were together, it was not something he had ever thought about until now that he was with her in the flesh.

“Yes!” she whispered.

“Do you want me to make love to you?”

Chapter Four

Penelope tried to rationalize what had happened to her and what this man, this being who claimed to be from her dreams, was saying. It did not help that he was in the shower, naked, and all of her senses were going haywire. When he kissed her it was like she was being thrown into a fire, the heat of the flames licking at her flesh, but she was not being burned. What was he? He was not going to reveal that to her yet and when she touched him, Penelope could not get a read on his feelings. Not that she was trying, but normally she was bombarded by them when someone touched her. Razziel was blank. And that scared and intrigued her all at the same time.

Then he kissed her and flooded her mind with the sexual encounters she had from her dreams. The details he showed her, no one else could have known them. It was all so unbelievable and yet he was here, a magnificent specimen of a male she could hardly say he was real. The power he had displayed frightened her that he would end up using it on her. But the excitement was eating away at the terror she felt. His engorged cock was the largest she had seen on a man, making the expression ‘hung like a horse’ pale in comparison. It was more appropriate to say he was hung like a gorilla, and from previous experience, if he knew how to really use his prick, then it was going to be a night to remember.

“Do you want me?” he asked her again, bringing her back to reality.

How could she not want him? Every rational bone in her body said she should be running from him, but he had saved her. He had never hurt her in the dreams. Everything Razziel had done was something she desired. Razziel kissed her again, and all her fright evaporated. He was trying to be gentle. The water pounding her skin was the perfect temperature, not enough to keep the room steamy, but cold enough that it did not scald. What could she say to him? If she said no, he would leave. If she said yes, then her whole world was going to change—well, change more than it already had. So many questions ran through her mind, but his soft touch on her cheek quickened her heart. She stared into his eyes, sapphire sprinkled with dots of gold. They were the most amazing color she had ever seen. Razziel was taller than her by a good foot, nearly six foot eight. His brown hair hung around his shoulders. His skin was pale and there was no way she could start describing his physique, all muscles but lean and still powerful. His eight-pack was smoking hot. Razziel’s body was smooth with no hair, and she could not wait to explore all parts of him.

“Do you want me to make love to you?” Razziel asked.

All her life she had been crippled by her ability. With Razziel, she could not sense his emotions, and that peace called to her. Maybe for once she could drown in her own pleasure while making love to a man. She threw away her trepidation and took his face between her hands. His flesh was softer than anything she had ever touched. Penelope held her breath, pressed her lips to his, and tasted the cinnamon of his mouth that she remembered from her dreams. She kissed him slowly, each second feeling the resistance drain from her body. This was what she wanted. He returned the kiss slowly, but when a soft moan came from his throat, she knew he was feeling something. Penelope kissed along his jaw and nibbled Razziel’s ear. “Make love to me!”

“I thought you would never permit me. I can take you here or in your bed, although it would be more desirable if you were dry.”

“Now.
I need you now.”

Razziel did not waste any time. He grabbed her leg and wrapped it around his waist. He did not take his eyes from hers, but slipped his hand through her hair and caressed her nape. Once his hands connected with her flesh, it seemed all of her nerve endings were alive. The water that trickled down her flesh felt like tiny fingers touching every part of her body. As it dripped over her breasts, her nipples hardened. Penelope broke his gaze and let her head fall back from the simple pleasure of the water running over her. It seemed she had been transported to a world of sensation. Even where the air passed over her flesh in between the water droplets spiked her longing. She arched her back and pushed against him, feeling his thick cock pressing into her thigh.

“Oh God!”
Penelope groaned.

Razziel cupped her breast and pinched her nipple, sending ripples of ecstasy along her nerves that shot directly down to her sex. Just these small caresses had her dancing along the line of having an orgasm. He squeezed her nipple again. She grabbed his forearm for support. He shifted his weight and before he answered her, he thrust his dick inside of her. Penelope opened her eyes at that moment, not sure she could accommodate his girth and length. But once he moved inside of her, Razziel hit her clit and the orgasm exploded through her deeper and more overwhelming than anything she had ever had before. Pinpoints of light danced in her vision. The water continued to cascade over her and made her squirm in her own skin from the rapture of those tiny fingerlike droplets that touched her everywhere. She couldn’t focus too long on one sensation because Razziel was driving into her again, increasing his rhythm, fucking her so hard and fast she could barely catch her breath. Each time he thrust inside of her, it seemed her soul was cracking open and being refilled with joy. Penelope tried to stay focused on any part of what he was doing to her, but the quicker his lunges into her pussy, the quicker she was slowly being driven mad with ecstasy.

“Ahh…what are you doing to me?” she asked.

“Making love to you.
You feel so good, Penny. Look at me.”

She tried to look at him the way he asked, but she could barely keep her eyes open. Trying to focus on him was challenging enough when she could barely feel her body. He plunged into her again. “I can’t.” She pushed her hips into him, knowing that the height of her orgasm was coming.

He brushed his lips across hers and placed his hand on her cheek. Warmth flared through her that helped to anchor her into her body.
The overwhelming sensations of the air and the water passing over her lessened.
His rhythm slowed. Penelope felt his light touch feathering across her jawline. “Yes, you can. Look at me.”

Penelope opened her eyes and stared into his blue ones. The gold of his irises glowed inside the blue. But it was not that aspect of him that caught her attention. Behind him, she saw the outline of what appeared to be wings. Before she could be sure, they disappeared. Razziel plunged into her again. The look of pure bliss locked on his features made her wonder exactly what he was feeling.

“Just once more….”

“Shh…I know. You feel so damn good. Much better than I ever imagined.” Razziel slipped his prick into her one last time.

Penelope felt his warm seed spill into her while the orgasm swept her into another world. Stars burst in her mind, the same color as the gold in his eyes. She dug her nails into his flesh and let herself go over the edge, wondering if or when she would land. But he was there for her, holding her up when she settled back down into her body and the world returned to normal. The water remained warm and washed over them. Her heart slammed into her ribcage, and her pulse thundered in her ears. She rested her head against her lover’s chest and was surprised to hear that his heart was keeping a tempo a little slower than hers. Razziel was barely winded. He trailed his fingers through her wet locks and lifted her chin.

“Was that satisfying for you?” he asked.

The concern in his eyes was genuine. She
smiled,
surprised her lover actually cared about her experience. “It was amazing—”

“But you were not fulfilled. I must’ve been inadequate. In your dreams, things are much easier. I’m sorry. I—”

Penelope saw the panic in his eyes and placed a finger over his lips. She shook her head. “No. It was wonderful.
Just different.
Fast, and I don’t
know…nothing
like I’ve ever done before. Was it okay for you?”

He nodded. “Oh yes! It was more than I had ever hoped for. But you’re right. It was too fast. We must do this again so I know you are satisfied. Where is your…bed?”

She giggled and was amazed at his earnest. Her body still sang from having the best sex of her life. First, she needed to catch her breath. Then Razziel was already suggesting they go back into her bedroom to go at it a second time when she still had so many questions. “Wait. Just give me a second to breathe. Please. Remember, I’m human even if you’re not, and I need to process everything.”

A smile darted across his features, but she saw the trepidation that lingered in his eyes. He was nervous. Her newfound protector had been so brash before, and now it seemed he was lost and did not know what to do. She realized this was all new to him. Penelope might not have been able to read his emotions, but she could read it just from his words and his actions. She unwound her leg from his waist, and he slipped out of her so that the water still splashed over her.

“Forgive me. Yes, of course. Take your time.” He began to step out of the tub when she touched his arm.

“Don’t go. Stay here with me.”

A puzzled expression crinkled his face. “There’s no need for me to be cleansed in this shower. I can easily will it so, and I will be dressed and dry.”

She tried not to be impressed by his power and focused on what she was going to say. “Please, Razziel. You might enjoy it.”

“All right.”
He turned and faced her.

Penelope grabbed a washcloth and ran it under the water until it was soaked. Then she rubbed the soap against the cloth. She ran it down her chest and over her breasts, noticing he never took his eyes from her hand, following it as she scrubbed it over her belly. She was about to clean her pussy when Razziel grabbed her wrist lightly and stopped her.

“Something wrong?” she inquired.

“Let me do that.” He took the washcloth and ran it over her slit, delving between her legs. He was gentle until he found her clit. She jumped and pressed herself against his hand, feeling the ecstasy of another rising orgasm threatening to take her away if he continued his manipulations of her. But he slowly moved down her legs until he lifted her foot and ran the cloth over the bottom of her foot. She jumped and giggled. Razziel glanced up and smiled. “You’re ticklish.”

“Yes.”

“Turn around.”

Penelope held on to the shower bar. His fingers ran up the other side of her legs and stopped at her ass. From there, he planted a kiss on each mound before scrubbing them gently and probing between them. Razziel washed her back, slowly moving along the curve of her spine. She shivered when he threaded his fingers through hers and placed the cloth on the bar. Her lover moved her hair aside and kissed her neck. She threw her head back at the gentle kisses and wished they were in her bedroom where she could feel more of him and taste her lover without the water.

“I understand why you enjoy this,” he whispered in her ear. “But I think you’d rather desire me outside of this warm fountain. I can cleanse you completely and make you dry if that’s what you want too, Penny.” Razziel
skated
his hands down her sides until his palms rested on her hips. The heat of his flesh stirred the passions within her. His prick pushed into her backside, and it enticed her once more.

All the times they were together in her dreams, he had never really asked her what she wanted. It seemed he had always known. He was more forceful and it was not that she expected him to be the same way, but Penelope rather enjoyed him the way he was. There was an innocence to Razziel as though he was a virgin in most things, but she was not about to come out and ask him. What kind of being had come into her life and saved her from the daemon that tried to abduct her, and who was that thing taking her to? So many questions ran through her mind, she was not sure where to start. Razziel trailed his soft lips over the curve of her shoulder blade, and she felt his tongue flicking over her flesh. His words rang in her ears.

“Yes. I’d rather be with you in my bed. Warm and dry, but this time you have to let me take the lead.”

“Anything you wish, dear.”

A hot blast of air bubbled around her as though she had gone through a blow-dryer, and the world moved. When it stopped and her head cleared, they were back in her room on her bed. Razziel was lying beside her, propped up on one arm, staring at her. Penelope glanced in the direction of the shower, but did not hear it running. “Did you turn the water off too?”

“Yes.
Easy enough.
Now what was it you had in mind? I can see the things running through your thoughts.”

He was correct. There were so many things she wished to ask him. Lying in her bed, she noticed his feet hung off the end of the mattress because it was too short and it could barely hold the two of them. She had a full-sized bed because she never had anyone sleep over and it was enough space for her and
Petey
, who always snuck under the covers with her. But staring into Razziel’s amazingly blue eyes, she forgot about her cat. Penelope felt her cheeks sear from blushing
so
hard as her gaze traversed the magnificent expanse of his muscled chest. “What are you?”

“I’m many things.
Protector.
Watcher.
And I don’t know.” He shook his head.

“What is it?” She touched his chest.

“I came here because of you. All the dreams we’ve had, I thought they were just dalliances to pass the time, but you bewitched me, drawing me back to you over and over again until….” He closed his eyes and shook his head.
