Priscilla followed with me in her arms bridal-style. I was so embarrassed. She tucked me into the car, and Annabelle stepped on the gas, squealing the tires.

“You did well, Lily. Extraordinary well.”

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“You canceled out his power, and I won. Champagne tonight. You like champagne don’t you?”

I didn’t know what to say. My thoughts were all jumbled up again. “I like champagne, but what did we do to him?”

“We asserted our power,” Priscilla answered while smoothing my hair.

“And why did you have to do that?” I snapped.

Annabelle said, “Just one tiny step in my plans, Lily. Just one tiny step in my plans.”

Chapter 16

Darius was naked, his thick chocolate hair cascading down his shoulders to his knees. He was like some ethereal being come to whisk me away into another land, another time. We were in a candle-lit room with a crimson velvet bed and pillows, the black curtains drawn back to reveal the silver glow of the moon shining in.

I ran to him and clutched at his arms, tears spilling down my cheeks. “Darius. Darius,” I whispered as I kissed his lips, his eyes, and his forehead. He peered down at me and embraced me in his strong arms, nuzzled his mouth into my neck and breathed in my scent. I buried my face in his long tresses and exhaled deeply, relishing the smell of cinnamon and vanilla. The candle flames wavered as he pushed me onto the bed and began to quickly tear off my nightgown. I ran my hands over his muscled chest and stroked the outlines of his abs.

He took my lacy panties between his teeth and ripped them off and nestled his head inside the triangle of curly hair. I gasped as he lowered his mouth, and his teeth caught my lips, rolling them playfully around as he grazed the sides with his fangs. His tongue lashed in and out, licked the sweet cream that dripped between my legs.

A moan escaped my lips as he settled me onto his lap and thrust into me and rocked me to my very core. I shrieked with pleasure as his hardened cock filled me, touched that forbidden sweet spot in the center with ease. He was so large; I bounced on his knees and let him in again and again, mouth open with ecstasy.

He gently set me off his lap, beautiful hair glistening in the opaque moonlight. Darius cut through the thin center of my bra with his fangs and took my right breast into his mouth, tongue teasing and spinning around my tiny bud. He sucked at it hard, and I groaned with the pleasure as he continued to the other breast. He lifted it with his hands and clutched the overflowing flesh within his fingers. My breasts were enormous and heavy, and he relieved them by suckling on the stony nipples, kneaded them affectionately as if he were a cat.

Then I felt the tip of his member slide into my opening, and I gave a low squeal as he shoved into me like a snake striking at its prey. Pleasure overcame me as he pushed me onto my back and rode me like a wild stallion, his dense nectar releasing into me.

I clawed at his back as he thrust again and again, and like a wave in the ocean, I swam with the bliss. I took to the current as his sex filled me and sealed my tiny opening. My nails raked across his neck and back as the pleasure mounted and increased immensely. When he was finished and had slid from inside me, he planted a tender, passionate kiss on my lips, and we stayed there for what seemed like an eternity, locked in an infinite kiss of love and affection. I swiped his fangs with my tongue, and he ventured into my mouth until our tongues met each other and commenced into an exotic dance.

We drew from the kiss, weary and exhausted, saliva streaming in a thin line from our mouths. He smiled at me as if I were his whole world, and I did the same and let myself fall onto his chest and snuggle against his cold, bare skin.

We lay on the bed, hands interlocked, facing each other with flushed cheeks. His lips were half parted, and I kissed him feverishly. I nibbled on his lower lip, drew blood, and licked the sweet liquid away.

“Lily,” he breathed. “I will be here in a day. Please wait for me until then. Please.”

“A day? You’ll come in a day? Really?” I asked enthusiastically.

“Yes.” He gingerly caressed my collarbone and cheek with an adoring grin. “I see you defeated Genesis.”

“Yeah,” I said.

He nodded. “You know he was not using his full potential.”

“Yeah.”

“How?”

I shrugged. “I guess that somehow, deep down, I knew. I don’t know why, but I did. He was just too kind of a guy. I really wanted to go with him, but I didn’t want to abandon Sang.”

Darius’s lips hovered over my chest. “A wise decision, my dear. I will be here soon, very soon, and then this will all be over and done with.” He lightly kissed both my breasts.

I questioned, “But if you were here before, when you took Sang from Annabelle, then why didn’t you remember how to get here?”

He closed his eyes and winced as if in pain. “When I made the deal my memories of the castle were erased.”

My lips formed into an “O.”

“Anyway, my dear,” he let a lock of my golden hair slip through his fingers, “you should wake up soon. You will be seeing Sang, and I do not want to keep you from that.”

“But I want to be here with you in this place, this magical place.”

He chuckled. “I know, but this is a world I created for us and only for us. It exists only in dreams. You must awaken from this false reality and face the truth of this world.”

“And what if don’t want to? What if I don’t want to face this world? This cruel and vicious world?”

Darius’s eyes creased. “That, my dear, is for you to decide.”

He pecked my forehead lightly and the bed vanished, he vanished, and everything burst into a blinding light as my dream came to an end.

* * * *

My eyes flew open, and I was dressed in pink lingerie; a lacy bra with panty hose and garters and high hot pink stilettos. I’d never worn such a thing in my life, and I was disgusted I even had on such an atrocious outfit. I examined where the hell I had been taken and realized I was in Annabelle’s room by the feel of the feathery bed; my hands and legs cuffed to the poles on each corner of the bed. The curtains were drawn, and I couldn’t see beyond them.

Priscilla opened a small part of the curtain, a tiny tight curl peeking through. She put her head in more, smiled when she saw me, and then completely pulled the curtains back and sat on the bed.

“You. Look. Lovely,” she uttered, tracing the outline of my panties with a finger.

I writhed as wildly as I could and grunted. I didn’t want this woman to touch me. I hated this woman almost as much as Annabelle. Priscilla’s eyes fastened onto my bra, and she poked the skin that was revealed from the demi.

“Stop.” I seethed, turning my head so I wouldn’t have to face her.

“You’ll be seeing your precious Sang soon enough, so why don’t we have some fun?” she suggested.

I snarled, “Where’s Annabelle?”

“Oh, she’s with Sang right now. She ordered me to come and comfort you when you awakened.”

I tugged at the cuffs and let myself relax. “Get away. Just get the fuck away.”

She was taken aback. “Lily, I thought we were friends?”

“No, we aren’t.”

A smug smirk curled her cherry lips. “In my book, we’re friends. We hunted with each other. Do you how intimate that is in the vampire world?”

“Don’t care.”

“It’s a very intimate thing to hunt together. Especially since it was your first real hunt.”

My voice shook. “No, it wasn’t. I attacked a person before.”

“Yes, it was. That time was just because you were a newborn. This time was legit. You let yourself go and even killed a man.”

I bit my lower lip. “How do you know? Huh? Yes, I killed that man, that poor, innocent man! I didn’t want to do it. You all made me do it. You deprived me of blood and see what happened? I killed a man. I killed him!”

Her expression was perplexed. “That’s what we do, Lily. As vampires, we take lives so we can live. Isn’t that how the world works? Grass eats decomposed organisms, cows eat grass, humans eat cows, vampires eat humans. There is a food chain, Lily, and sorry to say, but we’re at the top.”

I ground my teeth. “But I didn’t have to kill him! All I needed to do was take some blood. Not…that.”

“Oh, Lily. You’re so cute,” Priscilla uttered while rubbing my leg. “Let’s have some fun, hm?”

“No. I don’t want to do anything with you. You and Annabelle—you’re monsters. Real monsters. The ones that hide under the beds in children’s nightmares. And I can’t stand any of you.”

Priscilla crept onto the bed and straddled my legs. “Just give into me already, Lily,” she whispered seductively and plucked the thin fabric of my panties like a violin string, fingers slithered farther into them.

“No!” I screamed, and my pink energy exploded out of me and reached her. It was like a long, pointed vine, and it lashed Priscilla across the face. Blood poured from where my aura sliced her cheek, and she touched the blood and stared at her hand in shock.

“You bitch!” she snarled. Her blue energy rose from her like a thousand swords and stabbed at me, but my aura shielded me in a sphere of pink fire. She gave up after a few minutes of nothing happening, her face twisted in frustration.

She fumed, “I’m going to go get Annabelle. Right now!” She hopped off the bed and slammed the door. I let my head rest back on the pillows and sighed.

Some women I just couldn’t deal with.

Annabelle came into the room dressed in her riding clothes. I guessed she liked them since she wore them a lot. Her long silky black hair was tied high into a braided ponytail, and I gawked at how beautiful it was as it swung back and forth like a pendulum.

“You sure seem to like those clothes,” I commented dryly.

She smoothed her dark tan breeches. “They’re a gift from a friend, so I love them a lot.”

I asked, “So, you gonna let me see Sang?”

“Yes, just wait a bit, Lily. You’re so impatient. That’s one thing I really have to teach you. Patience.”

I stuck out my tongue. “Not happening.”

“We’ll see.” She winked and unclasped the cuffs holding my limbs. I gingerly rubbed my wrists and patted my hair down since it was everywhere, and I mean everywhere, from being on that pillow and its cursed static.

I hated lingerie. I would’ve rather been naked. I felt like a stripper in this crazy outfit. “Can I take this thing off?” I asked blandly.

“No, you may not.” Annabelle cupped my chin. “It gives you a certain…charm.” She grabbed my breast and dug her nails into it.

I instantly slapped her away. She growled with anger but it soon died down. “Oh, well. You’re not much fun today. I bet you will be when you see you Sang though.”

“Let’s hope so.”

She ordered, “Get up.” I obeyed and hopped off the bed. I felt constrained in this clothing; I’d never worn something so revealing before. She began to walk from the room, and I followed, feeling the tight thong pressing into the cleft of my ass.

It was very uncomfortable.

My stilettos clinked against the floor as Annabelle led me down a flight of stairs and into a cold, dark basement. There was no need to switch on a light as we could see clearly as vampires. She strode further in, and I followed, chewing on my nails and praying that Sang was okay.

She finally halted and I did, too.

My eyes widened in horror as she stepped aside, and there was Sang slumped against a concrete wall, blood splattered behind and on him. He was naked, pale muscles glistening with sweat and scarlet blood. I rushed over, but Annabelle got in my way.

Sang’s voice was weak but angry. “I thought I said not to let Lily see me like this.”

I began to weep. What had they done to him? What had he gone through?

“Sang! Sang, I’m here. I’m here now. It’s okay,” I reassured him.

I shoved Annabelle aside, and she laughed as I knelt down and took Sang’s face within my palms. He sagged against a chain which held his hands over his head. His ebony hair was matted with blood and sweat, and his skin was covered in bruises.

“Make him feel better,” Annabelle barked.

I flung around, anger boiling in my tone. “How could you! How could you do this? Why didn’t you do this to me? Why him instead of me?”

She shrugged. “I did do it to you. I made you go a couple days without feeding.”

I paused, unaware of what to say. “That’s not the point! He’s–he’s so weak and fragile. Look at him. Look at him!”

She stared at Sang as if he was a piece of meat. “He’s gorgeous,” she uttered. “I’d take a bite, but we don’t want to kill him, do we?”

I ignored her insanity and began to try and undo the chains, but it was no use. He feebly raised his head, fangs protruding from his upper lip.

“Lily,” he breathed. “I have to feed.”

I offered him my neck, tears flowing from my eyes. “Do it then.”

He locked his mouth onto my neck and punctured the flesh. I balled my hands into fists at the pinch of pain. He sucked at my blood as if it were an expensive delicacy, and pulled more and more greedily. When I became faint, I told him to stop but he kept going, as if he couldn’t hear me. My vision started to become blurred and my hearing like echoes.

Sang finally took his mouth from my neck, blood dribbling down his face.

Annabelle walked over to him and unlocked the chains binding him and he collapsed to the ground.

“Stay with him until he wakes,” she demanded.

“Bitch!” I yelled furiously.

“I know I am. I’ll come back when he’s awake, so don’t hold your breath or anything.” She stopped for a moment before completely ascending the stairs. “You look so beautiful in that outfit, Lily,” she purred.

I ground my teeth and pounded a fist against the floor.

Dammit!

Chapter 17

I cradled Sang’s head in my lap, stroking his forehead tenderly. Oh, that Annabelle sure did get on my nerves. I just wanted to take off all her clothes, set her in front of a whole country, and laugh my ass off as the humiliation bloomed on her cheeks. Or at least take off most her clothes and see how she would like to be in front of people she didn’t know on her hands with her feet tethered to a chain like a dog. Yeah, that would teach her. The bitch. Pun intended.
