Alec kissed him softly. “My
heart.”

Cronin reached into his pocket and
held out his hand. On his palm was a single key. It was old, Alec
guessed from the 1800s sometime. Cronin offered it to him. “It
unlocks the front door. It is yours.”

Alec slowly
took the key and he smiled at the irony. A key for the key.
Cronin’s key. Then, closing his eyes, Alec replicated himself. The
second Alec stood behind Cronin, and Alec chuckled as Cronin’s purr
became a growl. “You said you kept your talents to protect me,”
Cronin whispered breathily. “Yet I think your true reasons were for
this.” He let his head fall back onto the second Alec’s shoulder
and let the real Alec kiss down his neck.

Alec smiled
as he kissed up Cronin’s jaw, and the second Alec ran his hands
around Cronin’s front to palm his dick. “You might be right.” They
led Cronin inside their new home and laid him on the floor, where
each Alec wrung every ounce of pleasure from Cronin’s
body.

Afterwards, when the replicated Alec had served his
purpose, and the real Alec and Cronin were sprawled out on the
cottage floor, Alec sighed contentedly.
There was nothing but peace and quiet, and a bone deep
contentment. “Can we spend the next thousand years
here?”

Cronin smiled at that. “And then
some.”

About the Author

N.R. Walker is an
Australian author, who loves her genre of gay romance.

She loves writing and
spends far too much time doing it, but wouldn't have it any other
way.

She is many things; a
mother, a wife, a sister, a writer. She has pretty, pretty boys who
live in her head, who don't let her sleep at night unless she gives
them life with words.

She likes it when they do
dirty, dirty things...but likes it even more when they fall in
love.

She used to think having
people in her head talking to her was weird, until one day she
happened across other writers who told her it was
normal.

She's been writing ever
since...
