Vlad was trying the communication approach that
Razvan had spoken so highly of. At the begging of the conversation it was
tough, he realised he couldn’t talk about the first half of his trip.
Thankfully Val seemed to have been bitten by the bug of wanderlust; she was
more interested in the tourist aspect of Istanbul than the reasons behind his
visit. From then on it became easier to talk to her about Moscow and Bucharest
which he had also travelled to and that led to him opening up in part about his
brothers, Andrei and Razvan. He was surprised she didn’t seek further details on
their backstory even though he had told her earlier on that he was an orphan.
He was silently appreciative that she added on to the conversation but for the
most part was content with listening. No woman had ever been interested in his
life beyond what he could do for them and vice versa, then again, he had never
given any of them the opportunity to get to know him – she was different.

Sitting with a beautiful woman and sharing this
part of himself made him think of Razvan, he was proud of his brother and the
man that he had become, he’d turned around the fucked up life they created and
maybe he could do the same. Mihaela was a genius in the kitchen, the short time
he’d spent in their home he feasted like a king. He asked Val if she could cook
and unless she was joking about her dire culinary skills, then he wouldn’t
expect the same treatment at her hands. After dinner they walked hand-in-hand
along the beach, the only sound was of the crashing waves, cars driving by and
people in the distance. The entire night there had been no talk about
relationships or anything strenuous that would have him pushing her away. They
shared a comfortable silence during the walk and he couldn’t help but think of
what a perfect fit she was for him. Back at the hotel Vladimir brought his
desire for her back to the forefront. He had tried to be the perfect gentleman
but the dress she wore made it a tough job. It accentuated her ample cleavage
and the open back exposed her dark skin that looked good enough to run his
tongue along. He couldn’t get enough of her regardless of which position he
took her in or how many climaxes they reached.

He approached her and wrapped his large hands
around her small waist. He ran his hands along her stomach and cupped her
breasts that were more than a handful. He bent down and placed slow kisses up
her neck to her ear. Valerie knew where this was going, the man was insatiable.
They’d been at it all afternoon and she’d shortly be on her back or on all
fours again. Tonight had been perfect, she tried not to think too hard about
what was transpiring between them, yet she couldn’t shake the feeling of all
that glitters is not gold.  She needed to talk to him. He was amazing, someone
she could see herself easily falling for. She did not want to risk a repeat
performance of another man who was secretly unavailable to her in the long run.
She moved out of his embrace, squaring her shoulders, she turned to face him.
“Where is this going?”

“I thought by now you would know exactly where
things go” he told her mockingly with his blue eyes hooded in lust, his once
slicked back hair falling into his line of sight.

“No, I mean us.” She gestured between him and
herself to drive home the point that she was not referring to sex, as amazing
as it was she needed to know where they stood beyond the bedroom.

Vlad expelled a breath and ran both hands
through his hair, combing back the stray strands that were once free. “I
honestly don't know. I like you and want to spend time with you. I've never had
the conventional relationship, at this point I don't even know if I'm capable
of having one.”

“Okay.”

“What is it that you want from me Valerie?”

“I just want to know whether I mean something
to you or am I just a warm body to satisfy your urges for the time being?”

“Of course you mean something! I flew back to
see you. I haven't been with another woman or able to look at another woman for
that matter since that weekend we first met. I don't know what that means to
you but to me it's something. I can't give you the words that would make this
romantic because I’m not that guy. Can we try to take things as they come? I’m
even open to talking if things become too much for you.”

She thought about what he was saying. There
were no promises being made and he was honest about his uncertainty. How many
empty promises had she heard from Rehan, her engaged ex? Where did that
conventional relationship end up?
In ruins, that’s where. Being a girlfriend
does not ensure you’ll be someone’s wife
. She liked Vlad, probably more
than he liked her. He made her feel desirable and the sex was mind blowing. She
would take things slow this time around. If at any moment she felt that their
set-up was not working out she would talk to him or leave if she had to. She
would try this out, whatever this was, seeing that neither of them could put a
label on it. Val approached him and ran her hands along his expansive chest,
she pressed her stomach against his bulging crotch, got on her tiptoes and
leaned her head back, offering her mouth up for a kiss. Relieved that he had
managed to placate her fears, even though she brought up the dreaded
relationship topic, he grabbed both halves of her ass, lifting her off of her
feet he leaned into her for a passionate kiss.

Over the following weeks they established a routine
where she would spend her days going to class and the evenings at his hotel.
Over the weekends they spent as much time outdoors as they could get in; having
picnics, going on hikes and he even taught her how to surf. They were learning
more and more about each other in between sex on any and every surface that was
available. Whenever she ran out of clothes to wear, he would go with her to her
lately unused bedroom to pick up more attire. It was his form of insurance that
she came back to his bed where he got a few rounds in. He estimated that half
her clothes and toiletries were in his hotel cupboard and bathroom. He had even
given her a room key to come and go as she pleased. This was the first
time Vladimir had shared his personal space with a woman, he found it to be a
gratifying experience. Valerie had gotten under his skin, regardless of the
many hours they spent together; he had not tired of her presence. This
observation became quite noticeable when she had to study for upcoming tests.
She was late to come home due to the increased time she spent at the library
and when he tried to coax her into one of their marathon sessions, he found
himself taking on celibacy after she suggested she sleep at her own place until
the hectic schedule cleared up. He couldn't abide having her spend a night away
from him.

The war in Syria was intensifying which meant
that another contract for more weapons had come through. Lately he was thinking
of pursuing a different avenue in business. When Valerie was away at college,
he was researching opportunities to invest in. Maybe he could let being an arms
dealer fall on the shoulders of someone else. It was both dangerous and
exhausting. He felt a need for change in his life, what he did for a living
looked like a good place to start.

Mehmet had been watching Vladimir for a few
weeks. At first he wasn’t sure he had the right man even though the target
matched the description and photo in his brief. The man with the reputation of
being ruthless and menacing, The Impaler, looked more suited to the role of a
business man or tourist. He thought he would find out what business he had in
South Africa on behalf of his boss and relay any crucial information. The trip
had been a waste. The Impaler spent his time with an African woman he assumed
was his girlfriend or attending meetings – none of which were clandestine. He
looked like an ordinary man and one in love at that. He had chosen a discreet
location to lay low and had found out his woman’s name was Valerie Thusi who was
a beauty but only college student – again nothing sinister to write about.
There was no security around them which made it very easy for him to trail. He
dared not break into the man’s suite, if Vlad’s reputation proceeded him, he
doubted he’d come out alive. Mehmet considered himself a smart man and kept a
safe distance, he was anxious to collect his check once this assignment was
over. He would send a report to his employer and wait for further instructions.
For now, he’d continue to watch.

Chapter
Eight

Vladimir had spent the majority of the last two
months in South Africa and he could honestly say he was over living in a hotel.
Even though it was a luxury suite at the Ritz, he did not like the fact that he
was surrounded by virtual strangers. He didn’t have an exact time frame for how
much longer he was going to remain in the country, and with the way things were
going between him and Valerie, he was in no hurry to leave. She had
unofficially moved in with him, he could easily find traces of her in his suite
even if she wasn’t there, he relished being in her presence and her
possessions, the reminder that she was coming back when she was absent from his
side. Cape Town was a beautiful city with prime real estate. It had the effect
of making him feel at home and on holiday simultaneously. He had also found a
few businesses ventures to invest in that included renewable energy. Being an
arms dealer had made him a wealthy man, with enough money to live off of and
then some if he chose to never work a day in his life henceforth. He thought of
travelling and seeing more of the world. With that thought tinkling in his
mind, he would still like to come back here and those plans did not include a
hotel booking.

While Valerie had been busy with her studies,
he was left with expendable energy since taking on celibacy. He concentrated
his efforts on house hunting, property was a great investment when he thought
of how much he had just sitting in a bank, leaning more towards an apartment
because it was easier to lock up and go with his mobile lifestyle. He met with
a real estate agent and after a few viewings he still had not found something
suitable. At the man’s insistence, he went to view a house in Sea Point that
had recently come on the market. He wasn’t keen on needing to hire caretakers
for the property when he was away. Random people roaming in his personal space
did not sit well with him. He had every intention of turning the property down
but once he saw it, he knew it would be perfect. Back in the suite he made a
mental note to purchase a car as well, being at the mercy of a cab or driver
had him feeling a bit too pampered. He needed autonomy in that regard, he had
always been an independent man and he would continue to do so. Thinking of
Valerie and how dedicated she was to her education, the only problem would be
the commute from the university to his new home – maybe he should buy her a
car, which would solve that dilemma, however he wasn’t sure whether she had a
licence. He had never asked.

That night when Valerie arrived at her
surrogate home, she dumped her school bag on the couch and went in search of
Vlad. She found him at the work desk in the bedroom. She flopped backwards on
the bed, glad that the dreaded week was over. She turned to look at him and met
his gaze; he was watching her with amusement. “I have a surprise for you.” She
raised one eye brow in interest. She also had her own surprise for him, a
little thank you for his support when she was putting ungodly hours in the
library and in the work station he currently occupied. She had effectively
managed to ignore him during her study sessions, other than a few words here
and there when necessary. She had also put their sexual needs on the backburner
but tonight she would attack him with gusto.

“Me too.” She hopped off the bed and went back
to couch where she had left her bag, taking out the package she had picked up
earlier on her way back to the hotel. Vlad’s eyes were focused on her and what
she was doing. Heading into the bathroom in silence she emerged a few minutes
later dressed in a lacy red demi-cup bra, matching red thong and a red garter
belt. Leaning against the door jamb she looked to him with a teasing smile,
“Surprise”. Getting up from his seat, he approached her like an animal would his
prey, with purpose. Immediately her heart started a frantic pace in
anticipation of being devoured by this magnificent man, she was already wet and
he hadn’t even touched her. He cupped the back of her head and leaned down to
place a gentle kiss on her nose, he nipped her lips gently with his teeth and
kissed her deeply. When he started tracing a pattern on her nipples with his
other hand through the bra, she thought she would combust, which was until he
abruptly ceased his ministrations.

“We can continue your surprise after I show you
mine.” Vlad was holding onto a very thin string of self-control. He’d missed
being intimate with her and what she was wearing had him itching to fuck her
into the mattress. He smiled at the thought of christening his new bed and
every other inch of his new home. “Don’t take anything off; just put something
over it for the sake of the public. We aren’t going far.” Taking his directions
into consideration, she donned a white baby doll dress over the lingerie and
slipped into a pair of wedges, they were comfortable but mitigated the height
difference. Once downstairs he opened the door on the passenger side of a
Mercedes before sitting himself beside her in the driver’s seat. They were
driving closer to the beach and she wondered whether he had organised a
candlelit dinner for two on the sandy shore. He took a left into a residential
part of the area which nixed the beach dinner idea she had. Shortly afterwards
he parked outside a house that was already lit up against the fading sunset.
This
place is stunning. Hopefully I get to meet some of the people in his life.
She had never met any of his friends or business associates. He had told her
about certain ventures that had piqued his interest during his stay in the city
which had kept him busy lately. They both got out of the vehicle and headed
towards the side gate where he produced a key to let them in.

“Is this yours?” She was in a mild state of
shock that he had his own key. In her books that meant proprietorship of some
sort. Maybe he had decided to upgrade from The Ritz suite to a private holiday
home.

“Not yet, I still have a bit of paperwork to
cover tomorrow but for the most part I’m allowed to call it home.”

“Wow! You must really love Cape Town if you’re
going to buy a home here.”

“More like what I found in Cape Town.”

Not wanting to go into what exactly he meant
and the conversation that would ensue, most likely ruining the mood, she
stepped past him and onto the pathway leading to a three storey home. The house
was open and cool, it was made up of textured wall finishes, timber, glass and
natural stone. The door opened into an open plan living room with a built in
bar to the left. As they walked further in she saw the kitchen which could be
accessed through the white French doors of the lounge that currently stood
open. The walls of the interior were a stark white which highlighted the décor
of baby blue and beige furnishings. The style was modern but still retained a
homey feel. She followed Vlad through the lounge and he slid the glass doors
open to display a magnificent view of the pool that overlooked the ocean. “I
bought it furnished but I’m open to your recommendations” she heard Vlad say as
they walked back in, past the kitchen, through the dining room and up a flight
of stairs. The house looked like the homes you’d find in décor magazines, she
couldn’t imagine making any changes other than adding personal photos or
knick-knacks one acquired in their life.

On the first landing were three guest bedrooms;
one yellow on white, the other green on white and the last red on white. They
all had their own bathrooms and the floor to ceiling windows doubled as doors
that opened onto a shared balcony. There was also an entertainment room that
housed a projection screen instead of a TV as well as a pool table. They
climbed the last leg of stairs to the top floor which could serve as a home by
itself. The space held an open sitting area in the middle and to the right, a
smaller version of the kitchen from the ground floor. They headed to the double
doors a few feet down and when Vlad pulled them open it was the master suite.
Unlike the other rooms which were a stark white, the walls in this bedroom were
a dark grey. The large bed was the centre piece with its white beddings. Three
of the four walls were made of glass, one leading to the closet, one the
bathroom and the other to the balcony. It would have been an exhibitionists
dream were it not for the white curtains that one could draw closed to give the
occupant some privacy.

Taking a hold of her hand, Vlad led her to the
balcony which was fenced off in glass, although the view was a stunning sight,
the height made her feel uneasy. Turning around she saw the deck was scattered
with lounge chairs and decided to enjoy the view from a safe distance. She felt
serene; the open air, lush greenery and the sound of crashing waves allowed her
to be one with nature. The deck also housed a covered Jacuzzi in the far
corner.
Jeez this place would be awesome for throwing parties and how much
did he spend in buying it!
He had been staying at the Ritz for over a month
now and that place was not for the cheap, it was apparent that he had money and
lots of it. Vlad had been watching Valerie’s reactions as he gave her a tour;
he was now certain that he’d made the right choice in buying this house instead
of an apartment. Granted there was more space than the two of them would
probably use, but in the event that either of them had guests they would be
able to comfortably house them. He had yet to show her the guesthouse on the ground
floor as well as the wine cellar in the basement but that could wait, he was
anxious to get them both in bed.

He moved to sit beside her and they both
watched the sun sink into the distant waters for a few moments, turning to face
her he took note of how the golden glow of the fading light seemed to radiate
against her brown skin which had gotten darker over the course of the blazing
summer months. She was beautiful, not only in the way she looked but her
essence. He’d been around enough greed and viciousness to recognize the
quality. He leaned into her and kissed her temple before moving down to her ear
and asking, “So, can I have my surprise now? There’s this new bed just waiting
for us to break it in.” She turned to meet his hooded crystal gaze and was more
than happy to oblige his request. Leaning forward she slid the straps of her
dress from her shoulder and pushed the material past her ample bust. She was
about to stand up when Vlad quickly stood to his full 6”2 height and scooped
her from the reclined position she was in. He walked a few feet to the inside
of the bedroom and placed her gently on her feet, the rest of her dress fell
effortlessly into a heap around her. She walked slowly towards the California
King, adding a sway to each step to showcase the roundness of her hips and ass
in the red thong and garter belt she had bought just for him.

When she was at the edge of the bed, she turned
around to face him. He approached her until his chest was mere inches away from
her face. She moved around him, knowing he would track her movements and when
his back was turned towards the mattress she run her hands along his chest and
tilted her head back to stare up at him while her hands got to work unbuckling
his belt and pulling down the zip. Grasping a firm hold of his pants and boxer
briefs she moved them down his thickly muscled thighs and got on her knees when
they dropped to the floor. She had never tasted him, he always took complete
and utter control in the bedroom. This time she wanted to be the initiator; the
red lingerie channelling the seductive siren she dared to be tonight.

She stroked his shaft slowly from top to
bottom, feeling the length and girth expand in her hand. She leaned forward and
ran her tongue over the tip and down the underside of his cock until she
reached his balls. Resting her hands on his thighs for support, she felt his
muscles bunch at her ministrations. She licked him back to the tip before
wrapping her lips around the reddened tip and sucked hard until Vlad emitted a
guttural groan. She slowly started taking in as much of his cock as she was
able to with each bob of her head. She had found a nice rhythm when he reached
down and picked her up from the floor.

“But I’m not finished yet” she whined as he
turned her around and placed her on the bed.

“If you’re going to do that then I want you to
try something for me.” This request called her to attention, he usually
demanded and took in bed, she couldn’t think of a time he had asked her to do
something.

“Okay… what is it?”

“Do you trust me?”

She was getting nervous, why would he ask that
of her. Of course she trusted him, he hadn’t given her reason not to and she
hoped he wasn’t about to start now.

“Should I have reason not to trust you?”

Vlad thought about that for a moment, there
were reasons she or anyone else for that matter shouldn’t trust him, but what
he wanted to do was not one of them. It was kinky but he would stop if she
asked him to, no hesitation.

“I want to fuck your mouth.”

Valerie stared at him still waiting for
something out of the ordinary, when she realised that this was what he wanted
them to try, she granted his request with a nod of her head. He had gone down
on her often and well, she even rode his face at times. Today was the first time
she was pleasuring him orally and if this is what tickled his fancy, then she
would gladly do it.

Vlad didn’t think she would turn him down but
when she was silent for a few moments after his request, doubt began to creep
in, he was relieved she was willing. His length never allowed him to get as
much satisfaction through oral sex as he did with intercourse but her deep
throating him would get him close enough. He leaned down onto the bed and
kissed her gently before whispering against her lips, “I will stop the minute
you want me to. Okay?”
