Desert World Rebirth (41 page)

Shan smiled. “Now that sounds like a good plan.”

“Doesn’t it? I’m thinking some of this oil that works like gakka and the lights on low and me on my back with my legs over your shoulders and maybe afterwards, a long soak in a hot tub of water.”

Shan’s eyebrows went up. “Your legs over my shoulders?”

“Problem?”

“Oh no. I like your plans. Your plans work out so much better than mine. So, oil, legs over shoulders, a soak in a tub… I can work with that plan. I’m feeling better already.”

Temar rolled his eyes. “Oh no—this time the plan is to wait for the doctors to clear you before the ambush, and no more ambushing me to demand an ambush.”

“You mean, the ambush you’d already made plans for and warned the doctors about?”

Temar blushed, and Shan had to laugh. “We’re going to be okay,” he said.

Temar shifted some and settled in with his head on Shan’s shoulder. “Yes, we are,” he agreed.
