Opening the front door to start her day, Sara could see her breath in the frosty morning air. She nearly tripped over the package outside her door. Looking down at the neatly wrapped brown box, she picked it up and brought it inside to open it.
She sat down on the sofa with a pair of scissors and opened up the box. Shaking her head, she couldn’t help but smile. It was Ashley's book. She had followed up a little bit on Ashley, knowing that her book was coming out soon. She wasn't going to bother to get one. She had been through enough as it was but now that she had the book in her hands, she couldn’t resist opening the cover.
On the inside of the cover, there was a neatly written note from Ashley.
“Thank you for trusting me with your story. I know that I've let you down once but I'm hoping that this book will be able to give you some closure.”

Taking off her sweat-shirt and boots, knowing that the horses could wait for a little while longer, she turned to the first page and began reading.
Ashley was getting ready to pack her things up for the weekend to head home. She couldn't be happier that it was Friday. Between the book signings and writing for the paper, she was worn out.
She put on her winter jacket and buttoned it up, even though she was only going to her car. She had been looking out the window all day and saw how windy it was. Snow was beginning to fall now and the wind was still howling when she was getting ready to leave at five.
She took the elevator down to the bottom floor. When the doors opened she couldn't believe her eyes. Sara was standing in the lobby and she seemed to waiting for her.
“Hi, I know it's been a long time but I was wondering if you were busy tonight,” Sara asked her as soon as Ashley walked up to her, giving a small smile.
“Dinner? I thought you’d never want to see me again.”
“I want to thank you. I finished reading your book. I had meant to call but I was afraid that you wouldn’t answer. I figured if you were going to turn me away then it might as well be in person right?” Sara asked, shrugging her shoulders.
“Dinner would be nice.” Ashley smiled. Her heart was racing. Just being near Sara again had her stomach doing flip flops.

“So how long are you in town for?” Ashley asked, a little curious. They were sitting at a small table in the back of her favorite seafood restaurant.
“I'll be flying back home Sunday around lunchtime,” Sara explained to her. She loved how Ashley looked in her slacks and white shirt.
They picked up where they left off, enjoying each other's company like nothing ever happened. Their kiss was still fresh in Ashley’s mind. She couldn’t believe it had been three months since that day.
“Would you like to come back to my apartment?” Ashley asked her, when they walked out to her car. She had to take the chance that Sara still had feelings for her.
“Sure,” Sara said with a smile on her face. Ashley knew she was blushing but hoped that Sara didn’t notice.

“Would you like to have some white wine?” Ashley asked as Sara sat down on the couch in the living room.
“That would be great. Thanks,” Sara answered, taking off her jacket and draping it across the back of the couch. Looking around the living room, she liked the layout.
The black leather couch was facing the electric fireplace and a flat screen was mounted about it.
“So how does it feel to have a book out there?” Sara asked when Ashley came back with two glasses of wine. “You must be so excited about it.”
“To be honest, I have to pinch myself to make sure that it's not a dream.” Ashley laughed a little.
“I'm really glad that I was able to contribute.”
“Me too,” Ashley said, taking a sip of wine. “You know, I wanted to call you after the book was published. I just didn't have the courage to.”
“I needed time to cool off, but I never stopped thinking about you.” Sara put her wine glass down, and leaned into kiss Ashley, all the heat and passion that had been building up for months was too much for her. Ashley was all she could think about.
Ashley placed her wine glass down on the table. She’d been dying to touch Sara since she saw her in the lobby earlier. Sara’s lips were as soft as she remembered. She cupped her cheek, bringing the brunette’s lips closer.
“Let’s go to my bedroom,” Ashley whispered against Sara's mouth, breaking the kiss for a brief second. She could feel herself getting wet already. Ashley took Sara’s hand and led her down the hall to her room.
Ashley would never have described herself as confident in bed but she found herself taking the lead. She gently pushed Sara down on the bed, and then stripped her own clothes off while Sara did the same.
Ashley climbed on top of her. She found Sara’s lips once again before moving down to kiss her chest. She slipped a hand underneath Sara to unclasp her black, lacy bra. Ashley removed it and threw it on the floor. She wasted no time and began massaging Sara’s exposed breasts, rolling her already erect nipples between her fingers.
Ashley’s tongue flicked across her nipple. “God, this feels so good,” Sara whispered in her ear, bringing her arms around Ashley's neck, searching for her lips again.
Ashley returned to Sara’s mouth, parting her lips with her tongue. Sara reached behind Ashley’s back to unhook her bra. She tugged on Ashley’s matching white panties, slowly pushing them down her legs.
“I've missed you so much,” Ashley said, breaking their kiss and looking into Sara’s hazel eyes, full of desire.
“I've missed you too,” Sara said, closing the gap between their lips. Holding Ashley tight to her, she rolled them over so that she was now on top. She desperately wanted to taste Ashley.
Sara trailed kisses down her body, stopping when she was hovering over her wetness. She could feel Ashley’s grip on her shoulders, urging her tongue to explore her folds. She moved further down the bed and grabbed Ashley’s hips, lifting her off the sheets a few inches and bringing her cliterous right to her mouth.
Ashley moaned loudly as Sara’s tongue worked magic on her. The blonde leaned her head further into the pillows and gripping the sheets with her outstretched hands.
Sara was confident that she could make Ashley come if she stayed where she was for another few minutes but she wanted to be inside her. Sara moved on top of her and let three fingers slide inside of her. She was so wet that Sara immediately added another finger and began moving in and out, picking up the pace. Ashley bucked wildly against her hand. She could feel her orgasm building and she came with intensity like she had never felt before.
Sara lay down next to Ashley, admiring her sweat drenched body. “You’re so beautiful,” Sara told her, leaning in for a soft, sensual kiss.
“I can’t wait to taste you,” Ashley whispered, moving on top of her. She ran her fingers through her folds, eager to see how wet she was. Her fingertips were soaked. Ashley brought them up to her mouth.
Sara let out a soft moan as she watched Ashley’s tongue lick them clean. “You’re killing me.”
Ashley stroked Sara’s clit, rubbing in slow, circular motions. She was still on top of Sara, teasing her by keeping her lips always a few inches above hers while still massaging her bud.
Sara sunk back into the pillows, giving up on trying to capture Ashley’s lips. “I need you,” she said in a throaty voice.
“Patience,” Ashley answered, as she moved down to kiss Sara’s flat stomach. She brought her lips to her folds and let her tongue explore. Sara’s hips were rising to meet her lips and Ashley could tell she was near the edge.
Ashley moved three fingers inside her and slowly began pumping them in and out. She steadily picked up the pace, until she was moving her hand as fast as she could. Sara reached up for her, wrapping her arms around her back and digging her nails in. “I’m coming,” Sara said, moving her hips to match Ashley’s strokes.
Sara held her breath as she felt the orgasm rock through her body. She continued to cling to Ashley as she moved to lay down beside her.
“That was amazing, Ashley.”

On Saturday morning the sun crept into Ashley's bedroom window at seven. Sara was propped up on her elbow, watching her sleep.
Sara couldn't help but smile as Ashley started to wake up. “Morning,” she said, pushing a stray piece of blonde hair away from Ashley’s face.
“Good morning,” Ashley answered, stretching her arms above her head. “I’m glad that wasn’t all just a dream.”
“Me too,” Sara said, leaning in for a quick kiss. “Will I make us some breakfast?”
“You don’t mind?” Ashley asked, rubbing her eyes, trying to get them to stay open.
“Not at all,” Sara said, getting out of bed and putting on the clothes she was worn last night.

They were eating poached eggs and toast at the breakfast bar and Ashley realized that she didn't want Sara to go home. She had no idea what the future held for them. They lived so far apart that it seemed doomed from the start.
Ashley drove Sara to the airport when they finished eating. She tried to keep herself from thinking too much about the future.
“Would it be okay if I came to see you in the next couple of weeks? I'm pretty busy with work right now,” Ashley told her sadly.
“Of course. I miss you already,” Sara said as she hugged Ashley tightly to her.
Ashley kissed her softly. “Have a safe flight.”
Three weeks later, Ashley got off the plane in Denver. Sara was at the gate to meet her.
Ashley hugged her tightly. “That was the longest three weeks of my life.”
Sara nodded. “I know exactly what you mean.” The air was bitterly cold when they stepped outside to find Sara’s car. On the drive to Pueblo, Ashley filled Sara in on what she’d been working on the last few weeks. Luckily, Sara was as interested in sports as Ashley was so she knew she wasn’t boring her.
They pulled up to the cabin over an hour later. The snow was falling fast so they took their time driving back.
Ashley got out of the car and took her small suitcase from the trunk. She followed Sara inside and paused awkwardly in the doorway. “Um… Where should I put this?”
Sara turned around to face her as she took off her winter coat. “You’re hardly going to stay in the guest room again, are you? Put it my room.”
Ashley blushed a little. “Sorry. I just didn’t want to assume anything.”
“I love this shy side of you. It’s nothing at all like the ruthless reporter you were the first time we met.”

“So your parents don't know that you're a lesbian?” Sara asked her, stretching out her legs on the coffee table, letting the open fire warm her feet.
“No one does. I couldn’t even tell my family.” Ashley looked down at her hands. “I know I should just say it but what if they never want to see me again? I don’t think I could take it.”
“I’m sure they’d be okay with it eventually. They love you. It might just take awhile for them to get used to the idea,” Sara said, rubbing her arm.
“You’re probably right.”

All weekend Ashley helped Sara with the horses, learning how to clean the stalls and wash the horses down. Ashley had hoped to go riding while she was there but too much snow had fallen over the weekend.
“I'm going to miss you so much,” Sara confessed.
“I know me too.”
The weekend had flown by. Ashley was putting her things together so they could go to the airport. She was really falling for Sara but she didn’t know if they could keep going on like this; only spending one weekend together out of every four or five.
