“Oh Noah,” she said, her warm breath caressing his face. “I want you so badly it hurts.”

“You've got me, baby. Forever and ever.”

Later, she lay in the hollow of his arms dozing. She dreamed she was on a plane heading for an unknown destination. Around her passengers, dressed in tropical garb, laughed and talked. Champagne flowed. She settled back in her seat enjoying the festive atmosphere. Her head lay on Noah's shoulder and the tips of his warm fingers wove their way through her hair. Sweet kisses covered her eyelids and face. A soft hand caressed her breasts, probing her into wakefulness. “Oh, Noah,” she whispered, coming out of the dream. “I love you.”

“Not half as much as I love you.”

They would debate that statement a lifetime.
