“What? What?” Her adrenaline is revving up.

“Listen to this: ‘A da Vinci drawing, reportedly stolen by the Nazis during World War II, recently surfaced. Its original owner, who did not wish to be identified, said he was ‘thrilled that the drawing had been located. It deserves to be seen by the public to remind them of the horrors that war could bring and the hope that came with peace.’

The owner has donated it to the Uffizi in Florence.”

I look up at Clarice and we’re both grinning. “Well, well.”
