Chapter 10

It was four nineteen in the morning and the sound of Diablo's Mercedes pulling up tugged me out of my already restless sleep. I opened my eyes and looked at the clock. "This nigga," I sighed.

I heard his footsteps a few minutes later and waited patiently for him to enter the room. I had some words for him. I knew he had certain street duties, but he needed to be put in check. Four in the mornin' on a Tuesday? He was pushing it. He opened the bedroom door and stepped inside. He was trying to walk lightly, but he couldn’t. I heard every step. I even heard the door latch catch as he closed it.

I sat up in the bed. "Where the fuck you been?" I asked. I was still groggy, but I had enough energy to fuck with him.

"Chillin', drinkin' wit' my niggas. What you been doin'?" He asked.

"Don't turn this shit around. I asked you a question."

He didn't say anything.

"You full of shit nigga!" I yelled.

"Chill Yanna. You got fuckin' issues. You know that?" He asked.

"Hell yeah, and it's your fault! You make me like this mufucka!" I was up now and all up in his face.

He pushed me away. "Why you always gotta be thinkin' a nigga foolin' around on your ass. I told you what's up. I been faithful to your ass and you still trippin'. I'm a grown ass man. I can stay out 'till four in the fuckin' mornin' if I feel like it. I done told you already. I was at the bar wit' the fellas. We was poppin' bottles of Chandon and Petron. It was some broads in there, but none of them ain't have shit on you. Mmm, a nigga drunk, but I'd be foolish to keep dippin' out on you. I ain't goin' fuck up again and lose my world. You my baby girl, and I love you. All I wanted to do is get to this mufucka and crawl in the bed and push up on that juicy, fat ass." He leaned over and kissed my pouting lips.

"So I'm trippin' for nothin'?" I asked. He'd reacted totally different from what I'd expected.

"Hell yeah you trippin' for nothin'. I love you to death baby. How many times I gotta say that shit. What? You want me to yell it from the fuckin' roof?" He asked.

"You so silly. Hell no, I don't need you to yell it to prove it. I want you to show me Ablo. Stop comin' in late on fuckin' week nights. Have some respect for me. We engaged now. We don't just go together no more. If we takin' this to the next level it's time you act like it and get your shit together. You hear me?" I asked. "You make me think shit Ablo. I don't wanna think you cheatin'. I wanna believe you, but you make it hard," I whined.

"I'll start respectin' you more baby. No more comin' home late on weekdays. I promise. You right. I should be actin' like I got a fiancé at home now. He kissed my neck as I stretched out on the bed. He rubbed my nipples through the soft fabric of my nightie. His hand traveled down and reached under my little baby blue, silk nightie from my favorite Dior boutique. I didn't have any panties on and now he knew it.

"Damn girl, did I almost miss out on this just to get drunk. You wet as hell," he said licking his fingers. He reached under my nightie again and rubbed his pointer and middle fingers against my clit in a circular motion. He then went down and put my clit in his warm, moist mouth. He teased it with his tongue and softly put two fingers, and then three inside of me. My body jerked and my back arched. A soft, sensual moan rushed from my lips. He'd found my spot.

"Ablo, damn," I said breathlessly as he sucked, licked, and wrapped his thick lips around my pearl. He pulled me into his mouth and sucked and licked until my clit swelled beyond its limit.

"Mmmm, Yanna, you taste so good," he said leaving my clit for a while and concentrating on my pussy as a whole. He licked, and sucked and kissed. I grabbed his head and clutched it with my thighs when he stuck his tongue inside of me. "Ohhh, shit," I gasped. His tongue started stroking my swollen clit again and I was so close to orgasm. That's when I heard the gun shots. I didn't think he heard them because he kept slurping my clit into his mouth, using his tongue and his lips until my juices soaked the sheets. The orgasm felt so good I didn't hear the gun shots again until the window shattered and the bullets hit the wall.

Diablo grabbed me and pulled me under him onto the floor. Gunshots tore through the apartment. He pushed me under the bed and grabbed his sawed off from under the mattress. "Stay here," he whispered.

"Nigga, hell no. I'm goin' have your back papi, you know that. Give me a piece. For real Ablo. Them niggas ain't just shootin' at you. They shootin' at me too."

There were a few more shots.

"Stay here woman. I protect you. Not the other way around. You goin' be my wife," he kissed me. He pulled away and walked out of the apartment. I heard him shooting and then I heard the sound of the other gun. Suddenly the shots stopped.

I heard Ablo reenter the bedroom; at least I hoped it was him. When I saw him I exhaled.

"They drove away all fast and shit," he said taking my hand. It was trembling. Not because I was scared of them niggas that were shooting. I didn't want my baby to get shot, or killed. I knew that what he did was dangerous, but I often saw him as invincible. I knew the thought wasn't realistic, but it kept me from worrying myself to death.

"Baby, did you see the car?" I asked.

"Nol, it was too dark, and the car was a dark color. Maybe black, or dark blue. Could be anybody. We both got enemies," he sighed.

"I'm just glad you okay," I kissed him deeply. He still had my essence on his moustache, and I could taste my salty juices on his tongue.

"Your man a'ight love. I ain't tryin' to leave you yet."

We hugged for a few minutes and then he abruptly pulled away. "We can't stay here. I know somebody done called the cops. Besides, I gotta make sure nothin' happens to you. If it was just me I'd stay here and wait till them mufuckas come back. We goin' go to the 'burbs till shit calm the fuck down."

I did as he said and twenty minutes later we were in the car. We were on the way to the house that Ablo owned in Lithonia. That way we could elude Fulton Co. Police being that Lithonia was in Dekalb Co. The house was in Uncle Pete's wife's name. We didn't stay in the house much. It had four bedrooms, four and a half baths, huge kitchen with all stainless steel appliances, dining room, den, living room, and huge garage. It was lavishly furnished. We didn't stay there that much, because he couldn't leave the city for too long. He loved the fast life and couldn't be too far from his business. He knew that if he turned his back for too long all hell would break loose. This time he took the chance to protect me.

It took twenty five minutes to get to our destination. It was awfully quiet, but I loved it. No one knew about our spot except for our closest friends and I felt safe. I just couldn't shake a funny feeling that I had though.

"Got the keys baby?" He asked.

"Yeah, right here." I held them up

"Word, I'm right behind you," he said.

I unlocked the door and popped the light on. "I didn't realize how much I missed this place," I said and headed to the bedroom.

"Yeah, we ain't been here in a minute. It's fucked up that we here 'cause a mufucka wanna hit the crib up. It's cool though. A nigga goin' hit the streets up tomorrow. Oh, believe it baby. Some shit goin' pop off. I know it's the Kings. I want that mufucka El bad as hell. He just don't know that I been waitin' for a reason to dead his ass," he said with anger in each word.

"We here now baby. Let's just say fuck it 'till tomorrow. Okay?" I suggested. I really didn't want to hear about El.

"Yeah," he said and cleared his throat. "You right. I need to chill. It ain't like that shit ain't happened before. We straight though. You straight bay?" He asked me.

"Yeah, uh...I guess so. We should forget all them haters and get our freak on like we started."

"Sounds good," Ablo smiled at me. "You sure?"

I removed my clothes, and laid spread eagle on the bed. "They ain't stop nuthin'."

Diablo's tongue made me forget about the rivalries and street wars. At that moment nothing else mattered.

A couple days later Diablo paid cash for a condo in Stillwater Plantation. It was a nice neighborhood, with a pool, and all the other amenities that came with money. Diablo and his boys moved our things out of our old apartment. We were back in the city and The Cues were searching for the niggas who bust on us. They weren't going to stop until they found out who it was.

Princess and Daren were at my crib chilling. Teji was out with one of her sugar daddies who sent a limo to pick her up. His name was Thomas and he was a big time lawyer. He was a white man who had a weakness for dark skinned women with curves. Teji was color blind, unless the color was green of course. Shamira was at home chilling with her new man, and Maya was at home chilling by herself. Lexus had a cold, so she couldn't come out.

Princess was primping in the mirror trying to decide what underwear to wear for Ace. "You are the nastiest bitch I know!" I yelled at her playfully. She'd picked up some things earlier during one of our shopping sprees.

"Don't hate the player, hate the game sweetie," she said holding up a bright, yellow thong.

"What the fuck difference do it make? You goin' take the shit off anyway," Daren said popping the hell out of some gum.

"It's all about the mood bitch. I'm classy boo, not trashy. I give a mufucka a night to remember every time," Princess answered matter of factly.

"Oh, you don't know shit," Daren said waving her off.

Princess finally agreed on a red fish net bra, and thong set. "Now that's sexy," she said admiring herself in the mirror. She'd just gotten out of the shower about fifteen minutes before.

"Put on some damn clothes bitch before my man get here," I said frowning my face at her.

We heard a car horn outside as Princess pulled a skimpy red shirt over her head. The silky material clung to her and showed the slimness of her waist. She also put on a short, tight ass jean skirt with some red, open toe stiletto heels. She added a pair of red tinted Dior shades to set off her Christian Dior ensemble. The car horn blew again, but she took her time applying clear MAC glass to her full lips. She added eye shadow and a little mascara to her eyes and put her glasses back on. Tossing her braids over her shoulder she struck a sexy pose. "I'm a bad ass bitch," she said.

"Yes, you are cuz," I agreed watching as she grabbed her cute, red leather Dior tote bag. She waved at us and sashayed out of the door with her booty jiggling. She closed the door and Daren started.

"She is fierce as hell, you hear me.? Can't no bitch 'round here fuck wit' Princess. She goin' get hers honey. You see her ass cheeks hangin' out that skirt.? That lil' thang huggin' the hell outta her ass. She got cleavage and ass out. She a bad bitch for real," Daren said and looked at her watch.

"Where you need to be?" I asked. She seemed really anxious.

"Oh, nowhere girl. Pedro just keep textin’ me and shit. I just wanted to see what time it is."

"You didn't even bother to look at your phonw. How you know it's Pedro?" I asked.” “Don’t your phone have the time on it?"

"I have his number set on vibrate, so I know it's him. My phone ring for all other numbers. Plus I know his routine like a book. He text me the same time everyday. I'm goin' let him sweat and wonder where my fine ass at. I bet he sittin' in his office smellin' my panties right now. He goin' call me in a minute watch."

I shook my head and then Daren's cell phone rang.

"Hello," she answered. "Oh, Pedro, hi baby." She rolled her eyes. "Oh, I left my phone in the car ...no I ain't ignoring you...c'mon Pedro. I'll be there in a lil' while." She was silent for a long time. "I promise." She lowered her voice to a sexy whisper and said something before she let out a moan. I suddenly missed my man. He'd only gone to Mont's for a little while.

Daren ended her call and sighed. "That mufucka got it bad," she giggled.

"Ain't nobody tell you to put that mulatto shit on his old ass."

The door opened and there my baby was. He walked over to me, pulled me up from the sofa and gave me a hug.

"What's up Daren?" He asked and gave me a kiss on the lips. No tongue, just a sweet lip to lip kiss.

"Nuthin'. What's up wit' you Blo?" She smiled at our public display of affection.

"If ya'll ever break up there's no hope for love," she said and got up.
