Freedom to Ride - Resolution (Raven's MC) (9 page)

Deanna twirled and came to an abrupt stop when she spotted the blonde bitch Stardust with her nasty claws hooked into her man. Nate’s expression did please Deanna as she could tell that he was annoyed with the woman.

As Deanna stood staring at them she remembered the last gift she’d bought for Nate’s birthday and knew just what she had to do.

Jumping off stage, Deanna quickly disappeared into the bedroom within the clubhouse that she and Nate sometimes used when they wanted privacy.

She hurriedly changed into a slinky outfit she’d bought for the perfect moment to surprise Nate. It was a short black leather dress that had sections cut out in the front, exposing her stomach and cleavage with slashes along the back. Deanna re-applied her dark makeup and fluffed up her curly hair.

Finally she found and picked up Nate’s present, struggling with its weight. She’d been impressed with just how heavy it was when it had been delivered the day before.

Walking back into the clubhouse main room she spotted Nate stood at the bar with Logan, Bruce and Fraser. Megan was exchanging heated words with the blonde who was still glued to Nate’s side, obviously not taking the hint.

Deanna walked slowly towards Nate with a naughty smile on her face and he caught sight of her prowling across the room. His eyes devoured her as he noticed that she’d changed into another outfit, one that showed off her body more than he wanted the other members to see.

She came to a stop in front of him, holding his present hidden behind her back the best she could.

“Babe, what are you . . ,” Nate broke off shocked when she abruptly knelt on the floor in front of him, bowing her head in subservience. All around them the members quietened to watch what was about to happen.

“I will serve and honour you to my last breath. For your birthday, I present this to you, my Liege,” Deanna announced dramatically. She pulled the massive sword from behind her back and held it up in offering above her head, her arms shaking under the heavy weight.

Complete silence reigned, even the heavy metal music had been turned down in the background as the whole club watched as Deanna stayed kneeling, her face bowed.

After a few moments she nervously raised her head and the expression on Nate’s face thrilled her. She’d taken him by complete surprise again.

“Fuck. I didn’t think she could beat his last birthday. But it looks like Nate’s about to die of shock. Well done, Deanna. I’m interested to know what you’ll do for his birthday next year,” Logan yelled boisterously, breaking the tension and the members roared with laughter.

Deanna’s mouth twitched as she stared up into Nate’s fierce face, who still hadn’t moved for several seconds.

“Nate . . ?,” she asked, starting to get worried.

He slowly bent and took the sword, his expression giving nothing away as he stared intently at her. She was thankful when he took the sword as her arms were shaking badly with the weight of it and was almost about to let it drop.

“What is it?” Nate asked quietly, unable to take his eyes off her.

“A sword, ya numpty,” one of the members barked and the men laughed drunkenly.

“Shut it. I meant what type?”

“It’s a William Wallace broadsword replica. I hope you like it,” she said nervously, biting her lip as he finally looked away and stared at the mighty sword in his hands in wonder.

He turned and laid it down on the bar behind him, studying it in fascination for a few minutes before he turned back towards her.

She shrieked when he suddenly lunged forwards. His arms circled her waist as he lifted her up and Deanna had no choice but to wrap her legs around him as he carried her out of the club, the members cheering boisterously as they left. It was getting to be a habit for them.

Deanna kissed Nate hungrily as he fumbled with the lock of the office, finally opening the door and slamming it behind them as he pushed Deanna up against it and they frenziedly kissed.

“I need you,” he said raggedly.

Nate walked over to the desk, swinging his arm he scattered the paperwork to the floor as he sat her on the edge. His hands shook as he pulled her dress up and ran his hands down her thighs as he slid her panties down her legs.

She roughly tugged off his cut and shirt, revealing his thickly muscled chest as she leaned forward and kissed his Raven tattoo. He moaned and they both scrambled to get his jeans off, both desperate in their need for each other.

He pulled down the leather covering her breast and suckled greedily on her nipple as he slammed into her, Deanna crying out with the pleasure of him filling her so deeply.

“I can’t be gentle, babe,” he said panting.

“Then don’t,” she replied, biting into his lip and drawing blood. He growled and rammed into her hard, groaning with every thrust.

He leaned down and nibbled on her neck, Deanna ran her hands through his messy dark hair, tugging on it as he thrust relentlessly, both their bodies glistening with the force of their movements.

He slid Deanna further on and climbed onto the desk on top of her, the whole thing creaking under their combined weight.

“Nate, I don’t think it’ll take it,” she said breathlessly, the desk squeaking with every thrust and the phone crashed to the floor.

“I don’t give a shit,” he growled as she tightened around him.

Grabbing a fistful of her hair he jerked her head back and bit down into her neck as he came hard, Deanna screaming out his name as she climaxed, the pleasure and pain consuming her.

They both lay panting and breathing hard as Nate kissed her softly and stroked her curly hair off her sweaty face.

“I’ve fantasised taking you on this desk so many times you wouldn’t believe. I love you, baby,” Nate said tenderly, his forehead resting against hers.

“I love you too. I want your child growing inside me,” she whispered and Nate pulled back startled as he looked down at her.

“So do I. You have no fuckin’ idea how much. But I don’t want you pregnant with all that’s going on at the moment. I couldn’t handle it if something happened whilst you were carrying my child. When the danger passes we will, Deanna.”

“I’m so scared Nate. There hasn’t been anything since the assault but I feel so much dread that something’s going to happen soon. It feels like last time.”

“I’m here and always will be. We’ll deal with anything together. I know I let you down before but I will do everything I can to no’ disappoint you ever again.”

“Nate, you’ve never and will not ever be a disappointment. You aren’t Superman. I know when I’m with you I’m safe.”

Nate smiled as he lifted off Deanna and stood on the floor and pulled on his clothes.

“D’ya want to go back to the party? I still can’t believe what you did before. Thanks for the sword, babe,” he said.

He was still reeling with what happened earlier. Deanna had bought him something she knew would amaze him and the way in which she gave it to him, in the presence of the whole club, just completely blew his mind. Every day she made him proud that she was all his.

“You’re welcome. Do you want to go back inside?”

“I don’t care. But Desiree better stay away. Woman or no’, I’ll tell her to fuck off is she carries on. You’re mine.”

“I’m all yours. I’ll keep you safe from that cheap Pamela Anderson wannabe too,” she said as he smiled, helping her get dressed.

They wandered back inside wrapped in each other’s arms, the members cheering at the disheveled state they were in and guessed what they’d been up to.

The MC partied into the early hours and it became even more raucous, the dancers finally understanding to back off when Deanna held the sword in front of her glaring challengingly at Stardust who finally took the hint and never went near Nate again.

Deanna watched delighted as Nate swung the immense sword around with ease, jokingly shouting out “FREEDOM” and all the men cheered and raised their glasses in a drunken toast. He was crowded by the men all wanting a turn with the sword whilst their ‘old ladies’ tutted at their childish behaviour.

Nate later asked Jamie to fix it to the wall of the club meeting room above his chair, proudly displayed. Nate really liked his present.

Deanna now had to think of something ever better for his next birthday.

CHAPTER 12

Deanna giggled, every time she moved the desk wobbled and creaked. It had been like that ever since the night of Nate’s birthday and Deanna smiled at the memory. Her man was such a caveman.

“What the fuck,” a loud exclamation abruptly came from outside as raised muffled voices filtered in from the garage.

Deanna got up, unease filling her, knowing something was happening and she dreaded to think what else might have gone wrong.

“This isn’t me this time Nate. Look,” Logan said angrily, as Deanna saw him pointing towards another motorbike he was working on.

Nate leaned over and saw what Logan indicated - another break pipe with a clean cut through it.

“It was no accident this time. Before I set off to test it I checked and noticed that the brake master cylinder was empty. I pulled the bike apart and this is what I found. I could have caught the pipe once accidentally but not a second time. Someone’s done it on bloody purpose,” Logan said loudly, the members gathered round mumbling anxiously.

“Alright lads. We’ll have a meeting tomorrow in the clubhouse and we’ll discuss this. If someone’s fuckin’ tampering with the bikes then they’ll have me to answer to,” Nate said menacingly, looking at each of the men and his gaze finally settled on Alastair who smirked.

“I can’t believe I’m up this early. What we doing today anyway?” Megan asked as she yawned.

Deanna smiled at Megan’s complaining as she sprawled on one of the couches in Nate and Deanna’s home.

The men were all gathered at the clubhouse having their weekly Sunday meeting, but more importantly they were discussing the deliberate damage of the bikes, so no one had any idea how long it would take.

Megan was sat next to Heather and Holly, who was munching on a bowl of her favourite breakfast cereal, completely ignoring what they were saying, her eyes riveted to a kids cartoon channel.

“I forgot to ask. Where is it you got your tattoos done?” Heather asked Deanna.

“It’s called ‘Love Ink’ in the city centre. Archie did my tattoos and he’s really good. Why?”

“Logan mentioned about me getting some work done. I think I’d look sexy with one across my boobs. What do you think?” Heather said.

“What are boobs?” asked Holly curiously, forgetting about her cartoon.

“Er . . . ask your mummy,” Heather replied, smiling whilst Megan snickered.

“Thanks. Just ignore Aunty Heather, sweetie, she’s being silly,” Deanna said evasively as Holly simply shrugged her shoulders and turned back to the TV.

Deanna turned to Heather with a raised eyebrow and both Heather and Megan looked smugly back at her.

“Anyway, have you got his number? I want to ring him for an appointment. I want something similar to yours but I’m not copying. I just really like the roses and ravens,” Heather continued.

“No problems. Archie actually had a few different ideas and I picked my favourite. I have his card here somewhere,” Deanna said as she grabbed and looked through her handbag.

“It’s not here. I bet I left it on my desk at the office. I keep all business cards together. Will you keep an eye on Holly and I’ll nip across the road and get it.”

“Sure Deanna. What you watching Hol’s? Oh, my favourite,” Megan said as she pulled Holly into her side and hugged her as the three of them sat and watched TV.

Deanna put some sandals on to match her summer dress and left the house, running across the road to the compound. She looked around but there was no one in sight. All the members would be inside the clubhouse for the meeting but there should have been a couple of the temporary mechanics still working in the garage.

After getting the business card and leaving the office, locking it behind her, she was about to walk away when she heard cursing from inside the garage. Curious, she jogged over and walked round the corner to see Alastair furiously tugging at the front end of a bike parked in Logan’s work bay.

“What are you doing?” asked Deanna without rationally thinking about what she was seeing.

There was no reason why Alastair would be working on something of Logan’s. Logan was very particular about his work and he only fixed certain bikes.

“What the fuck are you doing here?” Alastair asked, not answering her and looking nervously around him.

“Why are you working on one of Logan’s bikes?”

“He asked me to.”

“Bullshit. Logan won’t have anyone working on his stuff. Especially you.”

She saw Alastair trying to conceal something behind his back. As he moved further away she saw a set of cutting pliers in his hand and her eyes flew to the exposed wiring at the front of the bike, seeing a few of the wires hanging loose.

“It’s you. You’re the bastard who’s been messing with the bikes. You’re out of here,” she said threateningly, raving mad that he was trying to harm the MC’s good reputation.
