“I did a lot of thinking while I was injured. But I realized
even before the accident that if you hadn’t lied I might never have brought my
true mate—my intended—to my planet. He brought her hand up to his mouth and
kissed her knuckles. “Now that would have been unforgiveable.”
Her vision misted. “How did I get so lucky?”
His thumb stroked over her knuckles, his eyes showing her
all the love she could possibly want and then some. His voice came out husky as
he asked, “Then I take it I’m forgiven for permitting my men to find your
sister?”
She nodded, and it was as though a weight lifted off her
shoulders when she said, “My sister is a big girl, she doesn’t need me coddling
her anymore. She’s had enough of that with our parents.”
His smile as he straddled her was one she knew she’d never
get tired of seeing. “You know I love you, right?”
