Gina's Education (9 page)

Rose entered the study and found the girl trembling and sobbing. She couldn’t tell who it was, but it was clear she was the one who’d been screaming. She looked to Robert, the question in her eyes.

Robert smiled, “I see you have found your gift, my dear. Rose, meet Gina Perry. She can’t seem to remember how to undress. Would you like to watch me teach her?”

Rose turned the girl around. “How did she get here?” Rose had a sinking feeling that somehow this interloper was going to make her life a living hell.

The girl looked up; when she saw the look on Rose’s face, her spirits rose for a split-second. She had fully enjoyed taking Rose’s former life apart, and now she knew where to strike again.

Robert found satisfaction in both of their reactions.
“It’ll be a long time before she fully realizes what has happened,”
he thought.

Robert explained, “She has the right ID and it is, after all, her name on the contract. By the way, I have drawn up a new contract for you to sign, Mistress Rose, but we’ll go over it at our leisure.” In her surprise she forgot herself, and appreciated him clueing her in.

He approached the girl without waiting for an answer, and ripped the shirt off of her. She screamed again, this time truly more frightened than she’d ever been. “You can remove your clothes or I will, but I won’t be taking the trouble to undo them,” he said. She stood there a sobbing mess, incapable of accomplishing the simple task.

Robert withdrew a pocketknife and slid it across her breasts and under the straps, freezing the girl to the spot. She even stopped breathing until the knife was removed, and sobbed even more as the flimsy lace hit the floor.

“Would you like to comply now, Gina?”

Knowing there was no escape – at least for the moment - she again tried to remove her clothes. She undid the slacks and let them drop to the floor. Robert didn’t wait for the rest. He enjoyed sliding the knife under the lace of her panty, the cold blade sending new shivers through her as it passed over her skin. With one swift motion, there was nothing left but a scrap of fabric on the floor.

Rose had been too stunned by the turn of events to speak. For a long time, she had imagined doing all sorts of hateful things to the woman who had stolen her life, but now she almost felt sorry for her. Almost...

Gina stepped out of the slacks and her shoes, and finally quieted a bit. She was still sobbing, but softly. She took off the trouser socks, the last of her clothes.

Robert then ordered, “Kneel.”

She did it immediately, and Rose finally spoke. “You are supposed to be polite. Say, ‘Yes, Sir, thank you, Sir’.”

Gina looked at the young woman in defiance.
“I’ve beaten her at everything before,”
she thought.
“I’ll find a way to best her at this, too!”

Robert didn’t need to hear the words she was thinking – they were written all over her face. He calmly pressed the second button, and Gina almost shouted, “Yes, Sir! Thank you Sir!”

“That’s better. Now clasp your hands behind you and sit on your heels,” he said, as he pushed her knees apart with his foot. “This is how you will present yourself to me whenever I summon you. Do you understand?”

“Yes Sir,” she whimpered, mortified.

Robert turned his attention to Rose. “You look lovely tonight, my dear. I’ve made reservations at the Fleur-de-lis.” He took another jewelry box from his tuxedo jacket.

Rose’s heart was in her throat. Clearly the choker he tested on her earlier was for her impersonator, and she already had mixed feelings about that. It’s always harder when you have actually felt their pain.

The choker Robert was placing on Rose’s throat was even more beautiful. It was hammered gold with images of roses embossed in the metal. He snapped the tiny padlock closed and she involuntarily held her breath. Robert chuckled at her reaction. “No, my dear, there is no remote for this one.”

Rose smiled, “Thank you, Master Robert. I love it.”

The naked girl on the floor began to whimper again, and Robert pressed a button on the desk. Drew appeared in the doorway almost immediately.

“We have confirmation that this is Gina Perry, as it says on the contract, and the signing bonus was given. Take this new employee downstairs, Drew, to begin training.”

Drew looked pleased, but puzzled. Robert usually had specific orders, but tonight he just said, “Do whatever you please with it.”

Gina started to scream like something from a horror movie. Drew grinned and grabbed her by the hair. “She’ll be good for the sound-effects!” he laughed. He enjoys his recording sessions, and clearly this was going to be an enjoyable evening – for him anyway!

Robert held up his hand and Drew waited. “Mistress Rose, did you have any instructions for Drew with regard to your property?”

Drew looked amused while he waited, but the girl on the floor just began to realize how much trouble she was really in. She couldn’t make a sound – and for a while, didn’t even breathe.

“Thank you, Master Robert,” she said. “I am sure Drew will do a good job with her for tonight. Just make sure she never reaches a comfort zone,” was all she said.

“One more thing, before you go. Gina, crawl over here and pick up your bonus in your teeth.” Robert reached for the remote and she started to crawl immediately. “Good. Now give it to your Mistress, like a good pet.”

Gina did as instructed, sobbing. The justice of it all hit her like a sledgehammer, knocking the wind out of her.

Chapter 8

Rose was quiet during the ride to the restaurant. So many thoughts were spinning in her head; it was hard to make any order of them. “He did this for me!” was the one thought that kept repeating, and she was overwhelmed.

They made a handsome couple entering the Fleur-de-lis, and many a patron’s heads turned to see them. Robert was a distinguished man with salt and pepper sideburns accenting his Roman good looks. His blue eyes had often been described as ‘piercing,’ and there is a hint of humor in them. The young woman on his arm was totally unaware of her own beauty. Since she came to the Mayhew Mansion, Robert could see her prettiness resurfacing daily. Once she relaxed and no longer felt like a hunted animal, the worry, pain, fear and anger left her features. She was wearing her hair up with tendrils of curls framing her ivory face, and her bright green eyes were sparkling.

Rose was equally unaware of the impact their entrance to the room made, but Robert wasn’t. He smiled graciously all around, and was unabashedly proud to be seen with such a beautiful woman.

The Maître d' greeted him first, “Good evening, Mr. Mayhew – it’s so good to see you! Right this way, sir. Your table is waiting.”

As they made their way through the room, they were greeted with nods, smiles and invitations to join other parties. Robert returned all the greetings, but the invitations were met with, “We’d love to, but not tonight, thanks.”

The Maître d' seated Rose in a lush velvet chair and asked, “The usual tonight, sir?”

Robert smiled saying, “Not tonight, Gene. This is a special occasion. We will start with those wonderful canapés; we’ll have the crab salad, and filet mignon Rossini, and we’ll finish with a chocolate mousse.”

“…and the wine, sir?”

Robert nodded and answered, “Of course,” leaving Gene to pair the wines with the meal.

“Very good, sir,” he answered; already writing down the selections he knew would please Robert.

Rose said nothing. She just found herself smiling at Robert, totally impressed with him and delighted to be in his company. She wasn’t sure yet what they were celebrating, but it had already been a wonderful evening. She was learning to relax in his care. Robert smiled back at her recognizing the trust that was growing between them.

While they waited for their meal to begin, Robert indicated several people around the room to her. “The white-haired man seated behind me to the left is Judge Anderson. He is the judge who signed the papers for your new identity. I don’t know who the lady is, but it isn’t his wife.”

Rose’s eyes widened a bit at this piece of gossip, but she just listened.

“At the table to your right is the DA and his wife and one of the city’s finest detectives and the woman is his partner. To your left is a banker, two politicians and three hookers.”

Rose laughed softly at the last comment, not sure whether to believe him, but Robert smiled and said, “And they are well worth every penny.”

Still chuckling, she whispered, “Are you serious?”

Their food came and the conversation turned to other matters.

“I wanted to talk to you about your contract, my dear. It includes the basics of the original contract, but I have added a clause with regard to your property. In essence, Rose, I want to make you my partner.”

“I have to say the events of the evening have been surprising,” she offered. “If you used my contract to trick that little… Partner?” The realization of what he said coming to her a bit delayed and she was staring blankly at him.

“Yes, my dear. I want you to be my partner. You have good instincts and your training is coming along beautifully. And about your imposter, it was amazingly easy to lure her. She is a greedy little thing. I wanted to give you the time to think about how you will handle her.”

“I will be training her?’

“Yes.”

Rose took a bite of her filet mignon and closed her eyes, savoring the taste. “Mmmm. This food is out of this world!” Robert smiled in agreement. He’d noted that she now ate like a lady, no longer hurrying through her meal as though it might be her last.

After some thought she said, “I’ll have to try very hard not to let my emotions get in the way of training her. I can’t say that will be easy.”

“Good, good, good! You have the right idea! If you start to feel you are losing control, by all means stop what you are doing and I’ll always be happy to help you focus.”

“I have to thank you for all the training. Even though it wasn’t always something I enjoyed,” she said in hushed tones, not wanting to be overheard. “You gave me a taste of what it is like, and I think that makes it easier to gauge working with others.”

“Exactly, my dear – that’s the point of it.” Then he teased, “Are you sure you didn’t enjoy every bit of it?” Her blush confirmed what he knew to be true. Even the activities that seemed unpleasant to start always ended in satisfaction!

When they got home, they went directly to the basement through the service stairway to see how Drew was doing with Gina. He had taken a lot of videos and pictures, so they got to see what she had experienced. So far, she seemed to be terrified throughout the whole evening.

When they got there, Drew had her arms tied to the beam overheard and he was using the whip on her. He kept snapping the tip of the whip and leaving little bite marks on her backside.

Robert asked, “How are you holding up?”

Drew grinned, “We’ve been having a jolly old time,” he said. “It’s getting past my bedtime, though, so what do you want me to with this when I have I relieved my own urges?

Robert looked surprised and asked. “You haven’t used it for your pleasure yet?”

Drew laughed out loud. “Sure I have. I figured on one more time so I can sleep like a baby.” He grabbed a condom from the shelf and put it on. Without another word, he pulled a dildo out of her, grabbed Gina by the hips and entered her unceremoniously. She screamed again and then just sobbed and whimpered, even after he finished with her.

Robert and Rose waited on the leather sofa while Drew took his pleasure. There was nothing unusual about it – it is what he often did for the videos he sold. He took her down and half carried her to the shower room. “Once I get her cleaned up, what do you want me to do with her – it?”

Rose indicated a large dog crate under the stairs. “Lock it in there.”

Horrified, Gina finally spoke to Rose. “Why? Why are you doing this to me? Why are you calling me ‘it’?”

Rose looked coolly at her, and felt surprisingly calm as she explained, “You now have no identity. You stole mine, ruined my life, and enjoyed the spoils. Very simply, it is now your turn. I own you. You will not address me again unless I ask you a question, and at that time, you will call me Mistress Rose.”

On their way up the stairs, Rose asked Robert, “What would you like me to do for you tonight, Sir?” He slipped his arm around her waist, smiled down at her. He gave her a lot to think about by the time he ushered her into his room.

Almost without exception, Robert has always loved women. His genuine love for women, though, was about the same as a young girl’s love for her first pony. He had never had an adult relationship with a woman in his life, but he was almost unaware of that fact.

He found early on that he could get almost any woman to agree to do as he asked, given time, and they always went away satisfied. In recent years, he took the short cut of having them sign an agreement. He’d always been benevolent enough to share the wealth, too, so the Mayhew House, Inc. was a natural business venture for him. All had been going along as he expected.

Until Rose arrived…

She was different. He couldn’t put his finger on why, but he knew instantly that there was something about her that was important to him. He had never felt that way about a woman before and it took several weeks before he acknowledged it.

When she arrived, she had spunk. She held her own during the interview; even though he could see she was at the end of her rope. Her sheer determination to reverse her bad fortune and make a life for herself touched him. He had seldom seen such courage, and he was just as touched by the succinct description she gave of why she needed this job. She didn’t whine about it. She just explained in the most matter-of-fact manner she could manage.

For the first time in his life, he felt the need to protect someone, not just during a scene, but all the time. It unnerved him a bit at first, but the more he got to know Rose, the more determined he was to protect her and to get her some justice.

Equally puzzling to him was his reaction to the nasty little thing that had destroyed Rose’s life as Gina. He had never had any feeling at all for those miserable women he had encountered over the years who thrive on making life unbearable for another person. Mentally, he would simply step over them and move away.
