He smoothed his hand over one butt
cheek, and she shivered, wrapping her arms tight over her chest. He remembered
that she was a novice, and a spanking was not the place for him to start
tonight. But he would give her a spanking soon enough. She would see it wasn’t
anything like what she thought it was.
With her back still turned to him, he
tugged down her panties. She almost stopped him, but he pulled more
insistently, and she let go without a word.
She really liked to struggle against her
submission.
Facing her back, he lifted up her top,
pulling it over her head. Then he undid her bra, sliding it down off her arms.
She was still wearing her high heels, but nothing else.
Slowly, he turned her to face him again.
Her arms were hiding herself, one over her breasts and her other hand cupping
her crotch. She was looking up at him, wary because she was naked and he was
completely clothed. It was the quickest way to make someone feel powerless.
He felt better already. No matter how
much she fucked with his mind, he could fuck her body and make her belong to
him.
“You can say no any time, remember?” he
asked. “Only you like to say no, don’t you? So say ‘stop’ if you really mean
it.”
She nodded.
“Repeat it,” he murmured. “Stop.”
“Stop.”
“I’m going to bind you now.”
He put a hand on her arm as she looked
up at him wordlessly.
“Come on.” He took her hand and led her
into the bedroom, grabbing his messenger bag on the way. It was stuffed with
everything he needed for work. And something else.
His hand closed around the soft bundle
and pulled it out. The coils of thick nylon rope had been dyed a grayish green
color. He held it up to her face, looking from her eyes to the rope.
“I thought so. It’s exactly the same color
as your eyes.” He had bought the rope a few years ago, attracted by the color,
but he had never used it before. When he had found it again in his rope bag,
tucked away forgotten in the bottom, he had turned it over in his hands
thinking of Kali’s eyes and how he would tie her up with it. It was as thick as
his little finger, and as soft as a silk scarf.
Picking up one hand, he wrapped two
loops around her wrist and tied the end in a knot that wouldn’t slip. He left
the long tail of the rope hanging. Then he tied a loop from another piece of
rope around her other wrist. Her breathing quickened.
Looking deeply into her eyes, he moved
her back against the bed, pushing her down to sit. She held onto him with her
gaze. He pushed her down to lie back, going with her, so he laid sprawled half
over her.
“I’m going to finish kissing the rest of
your body,” he told her. “I did the top half last time…”
“Oh…,” she breathed.
He covered her face with kisses and
nibbled her neck, chest and arms, slowly pulling each wrist up until she lay
with her hands reaching out to each corner of the bed. One at a time, he tied
them tightly. She resisted a little, but was lulled by his kisses. She hissed
every time his teeth sunk into her, pressing her flesh in his mouth. Love bites
were almost as good as kisses, in his book.
Then he started down, kissing her belly,
finally able to go lower, to stroke the soft skin above her silky pussy, to
kiss the top of her thigh, blowing gently on her short reddish brown hair, but not
touching her clit, not yet. He wanted her to go wild, and he couldn’t let her
do that unless her legs were also tied. He had two more ropes he’d cut, silvery
green ropes that looked so beautiful against her fair skin.
He kissed all the way down her leg,
taking his time, exploring every hollow and curve of her leg down to her ankle.
Then her sensitive feet. She tried to pull away when he pushed his tongue
between her toes, but he quickly wrapped the loops of rope around her ankle and
tied it to the bedpost with a few twists.
“Hunter?” she asked, jolted into
awareness when she felt her leg was suddenly held in place.
He stroked her waist with his hands,
firm and soothing, as he nuzzled the hair between her legs—but not daring to
lick her clit yet. He lulled her back again, slowly straightening her free leg
and when he reached the bottom of her foot, massaging it to relax her, then
tying the knot before she realized what was happening.
He got up and stood by the bed looking
down at her. She gasped, feeling herself completely bound, laid out naked for
him. She was breathing faster for him, tugging against the ropes.
Hunter felt a rush like he had never
felt before. She was completely in his power, and her eyes said she knew it. He
could do whatever he wanted with her. She couldn’t help showing a tinge of fear
when his fists opened and closed, showing his eagerness to get his hands on
her. He would do it. He would make her white flesh turn pink and then red,
swelling slowly as he made her nerves sing.
He leaned over and grabbed each of her
wrists, digging his fingertips in. His nails were nice and smooth, just long
enough for her to feel the scrape of them against her skin. He dragged his
nails down her arms to her shoulders, leaving faint pink lines trailing behind.
“Ohh…Hunter,” she breathed, stretching
into the sensation. “That feels good…”
He kept going down, trailing his
fingertips all the way down the sides of her legs to her feet. She shivered as
he made goose bumps rise on her skin. It would get her blood going, bring it to
the surface, and make her eager to feel more.
Then he leaned over between her legs and
kissed her pussy, not so softly this time, more insistently. Her lips were like
a folded flower, pink and fresh. He licked up to find the tiny bud of her clit,
letting his tongue swirl around it before pressing his mouth into her, shaking
his head back and forth slightly.
Her reaction was incredible. She cried
out, high and piercing, as she fought against the ropes. But she couldn’t close
her legs. He pushed her knees further apart, and dived in again, licking and
sucking on her clit until her cries rose with force. He pressed on and on, as
she gasped out, saying no a couple of times, but never stop… so he never
stopped.
Licking lower, his tongue dived into her
hole, lapping up her sweet juices, probing deeper trying to fuck her with his
mouth. Then swiping back up with his tongue, focusing on her clit again.
When she came, her hips bucked, pressing
herself against his mouth. He dug his fingernails into her sides below her
breasts, raking them slowly down her waist and over her hips, all the way down
her thighs and down to her calves. He dug in, wanting to mark her. Wanting to
claim her as his own.
Her cries rose louder, urgent, guttural,
as if wrenched from deep inside of her. He could feel the rhythmic clenching in
the muscles of her thighs, his own cock jerking in sympathy, as the pain
prolonged her orgasm. He held on for dear life, as her hips heaved beneath him.
Hunter clawed his way up, no thought of
anything but getting
in
. Her pussy was dripping wet from his mouth and
her cum. He had barely the presence of mind to roll on a condom before he put
the tip of his cock against her slick hole.
“Do you want it?” he growled.
“Yes!”
“Beg me for it, Kali.”
“Oh, yes, Hunter,
please. Please….
”
“Say ‘yes, Sir!’ Kali.” He was holding
himself back by sheer force of will, but he wanted it all.
“Yes… yes, Sir!”
He pushed against her, sliding his cock
inside with one long, heavenly push, all the way to the hilt. She cried out
again. It was almost too much for him.
His hips thrust wildly against her,
driving into her, pinning her to the bed. It went on and on, with waves of
pleasure carrying him higher and higher, an endless motion. He would never
stop, never let her go, stay inside of her forever…
His own cry rose with hers as he came
deep inside of her, his cock pulsing, their bodies pulsing together. Locked
together forever…
As he realized he was breathing in synch
with Kali, he also realized he was lying on top of her, completely relaxed and
probably crushing her with his weight. He shifted slightly off her, regretfully
letting his dick slide out of her. She let out a little sound, rubbing her cheek
against his hair, as if she didn’t want to let him go.
His arms tightened around her, his
throat clenching up at the sudden feeling that she trusted him. She had let go
completely, and so did he. He was supposed to be the ever-ready guy, but it
felt like he wouldn’t be able to come again for at least another day. She had
drained him, taken everything he had to give. Because she gave everything.
He wanted nothing more than to lie there
cuddling with her, but she had been tied up for a while and struggling against
the ropes. He needed to check to see if any knots had tightened. He touched her
hand and it was cool. It needed more blood flow.
So moving carefully, he untied her
wrists, leaving the other end of the rope tied to the bed. That would make it
easier to tie her up next time. When he unbound her ankles, she moaned and
curled into the fetal position. “That feels so good…”
He chafed her wrists and ankles, warming
them up and making sure the circulation was flowing nicely. Then he helped her
to the bathroom to wash up. He licked the cum off her thigh and she blushed
like a little girl. She was still a little wobbly. By the time he pulled on her
nightshirt, she was yawning. She plunged into bed, shifting over so there was
plenty of room for him.
“No need for aftercare tonight,” he said
with a slight laugh.
“Who needs any care after that?” she
mumbled through the pillow. “That was nothing but care! It felt like you
touched me all over.”
“I fucked you all over, that’s for
sure.” He was still smiling. “And there’s more to come. There’s a party this
weekend I want to take you to.”
She shook her head, her face still
buried. “I’m going upstate this weekend to see my parents. Didn’t I tell you?”
“No.” He stood next to the bed looking
down at her. “Can’t you go up on Saturday morning?”
She turned her head to look at him with
one sleepy eye. “I’m so sorry, Hunter. I would love to, but my parents are
expecting me. It takes four hours to get there and if I go on Saturday, the
whole day is wiped out. As it is, I have to leave work by three to make the
train.”
Kali put her head back down with a yawn.
It was settled. He had the sinking feeling there was no way he could budge her.
She looked so peaceful lying there,
snuggled into the pillow, a slight smile curving up the corners of her lips. He
loved that sly smile she could give him with the wicked curve of the corner of
her mouth.
Hunter felt confused. Even though he
knew, rationally, that he couldn’t expect her to give up plans for him, it
bothered him. The fact that he wanted to try to convince her bothered him even
more. Why hasn’t she said something sooner? Didn’t it matter to her that they
wouldn’t see each other this weekend? Could she possibly be manipulating him?
It was stupid to question it. He should just
accept it for what it was. But the questions kept swirling and he knew he was
lost in Kali again.
Deep down, they fit together hand in
glove. At first it was her quiet beauty, that dressed-down, corporate gray,
flashing-out-at-moments kind of beauty. Then it was her fighting spirit that
refused to let him walk all over her without her consent. Then it was her
valiant poise when they were being pursued by the homeboys. He wanted a woman
like that, who could face down the enemy hand-in-hand with him, trusting him
completely.
Then she had blown his mind sexually. He
was supposed to be blowing her mind. But she swept him up in her response and
carried him along like a tsunami. He
wanted
to be carried off by her. He
wanted to surrender to the maelstrom, for the first time in his life.
But he couldn’t. He was always reaching
for her, but she wasn’t reaching back.
So he did the only thing he could do. He
turned off the lights and took her apartment key from her key chain. He went
outside and locked her in, slipping the key under the door.
Chapter 9
Kali didn’t know what to think when she
woke up the next morning and found out that Hunter hadn’t stayed the night. She
must have passed out on him. But it was his fault for driving her out of her
mind.
She found the key on the floor and put
it back on her keychain. All of her clothes were scattered around the living
room where he had tossed them, with her bra hanging over the back of her desk
chair. Gathering up everything and throwing them in the hamper, she got ready
for work.
Her body throbbed in a lot of new and
different ways. There were long pink streaks down her sides and her legs where
he had scratched her. In places he had dug deeper, leaving faint red flecks of
blood embedded in her skin. And her wrists and ankles were chafed by red rope
burns, reminders left of what they had done. Her cheek had a pink patch where
it had been rubbed raw by the stubble on his face.
The way he tied her up spread-eagle on
the bed—she couldn’t believe that was her! But it felt so natural, moving from
one thing to the next. She rubbed the slightly raised scratches on her skin. If
someone had done that to her when she wasn’t aroused, she would have hated it.
She was sure of it.
Hunter had touched her everywhere; she
couldn’t deny him. And the focused, intense look on his face made her feel like
there was nothing else in the world except for her.
Only she knew that wasn’t true. She was
one among many.
When she saw Hunter at work, both of
them smiled like they were getting away with something.
But Hunter was fully back in work mode
and busy with the demo part of the project. Kali didn’t need to be so hands-on
during this stage, so she barely saw him for the next two days. He didn’t ask
her about her weekend again. She wished she wasn’t busy. She would have liked
to meet his friends.
By the time she left the office with her
overnight bag on Friday, she was worried. Her self-bargain for “one last time”
might actually turn out to be the truth. They had exchanged a few flirty texts,
but that was it. She had no idea what he felt to cause such a distance between
them.
It was only on the train heading north
that Kali really started thinking. Four hours was a long time to think, and the
time served her well. She had been floating around in a euphoric fog for the
past week. But Hunter had admitted that their romantic date was not his usual
thing. He had done it for her.
He gave her romance so she would let him
tie her up and have kinky sex with him.
And it was true the lovely dinner and
all that talk about their childhoods had made her comfortable with him again.
She had bargained with herself to play with him one more time. Then she had
intended to ask him the hard questions—what about Minx? What about other women?
What about marriage? And a family? Were those things in his future or not?
Now she had gotten her “one last time,”
and it had been mind-blowing. But it was just another game to him, not the
beginning of a beautiful relationship.
He had said it himself: “I fucked you
all over.”
Not—
I made love to you all over.
He wasn’t making love to her. He was fucking her. That meant sex, not love. It
was all play to him; playing sex games.
It was full dark when the train pulled into
Utica, the closest big town to Jefferson. Her mom was waiting on the platform,
her arms wrapped around herself for warmth in the chill night air. Kali ran
over and gave her a hug, and was struck by how small her mom seemed. She had
always been very lean and spare, with deep worry lines in her face aging her
prematurely. Jenny Jones had struggled, and you could see it.
“Where’s dad?” Kali asked.
“At the village board meeting. There was
some kind of problem with the sidewalks, and he has to go make his case, of
course.” There was a bitter edge to her mom’s voice. It was because of her dad.
If it wasn’t the community theatre taking up all of his time, it was some
volunteer project or civic group that he was involved with.
It was familiar this feeling, that her
dad was just out of reach. When he was around, he was delightful. The most
engaging and playful dad a girl could have. But looking back, Kali mostly
remembered long hours talking alone with her mom in the evenings as they baked
or crafted together.
Kali usually checked in with her mom at
least once a week. Her mom was worried about her living in the city. Kali had
told her about her dinner dates with Hunter, but she hadn’t gone into any
details.
“So tell me about this new guy,” her mom
said, while they were still on the train platform. “You’ve gone out three
times, right? That’s usually when it fizzles for you.”
“It may be the same with this one.” More
like a nuclear explosion than a fizzle, but she couldn’t tell her mom that.
“Oh? What was it this time?”
“I don’t think he wants a relationship.
He’s so good-looking. He can get any girl he wants.”
Her mom gave her a sharp look. “How do
you know?”
Kali realized she was going to have to
tread carefully or she would end up confessing the whole sordid thing. And she
couldn’t imagine forming the words to tell her mom about kinky sex. Or her
mom’s reaction if she tried. Her mom would never get over her horror at the
thought of her little girl tied up.
“He’s gorgeous, mom. Plus I met his
girlfriend. Minx. I’m not sure if she’s still in the picture.”
“You don’t know? What on earth have you
been talking about?”
“Everything else.” She gave her mom a
rundown of Hunter’s background and career. As she expected, Jenny didn’t like
it one bit. They knew what it was like being on the less-advantaged side of the
class divide, so her liberal mom would never say Hunter was not their kind of
people. But the thought hung between them unspoken, and from the frown on her
face, Jenny was troubled by her own reaction.
“Even if he does want to get married,”
Jenny said, “it sounds like he isn’t ready for it.”
“Go ahead and say it—he sounds like
dad.”
“Well… yes, in that he may not be
willing or able to take on a steady job to help support a family.” Now her mom
looked even more upset. “But you like him?”
Kali sighed. “More than any other guy
I’ve ever met.”
Her mom was silent as she turned onto
their street and slowly drove past the large grassy square that was
meticulously maintained by the village. Further down, before the road curved
south, there was their little red brick house. It had steep gables and ancient
trees in the front yard arching over the roof of the porch.
Suddenly Kali was back in reality, and
all the weird, wild stuff in the city seemed far away.
Her home was a doll’s house, picturesque
and old-fashioned with wood trim and banisters, with the kitchen as large as
the living room, and only two bedrooms and a bath upstairs. Kali loved their
house with a passion that nearly rivaled her mom’s, who had worked for so long
to get them a home. Her dad had done a lot of the work on the house, painting
and finishing the floors. He was good with his hands.
Her mom gossiped about the college and
all of their friends in town, and Kali was grateful she didn’t have to say
much. She heard what everyone was doing, and her mom had messages from some of
her old friends to come to the Tavern on Saturday to see everyone.
It was ten o’clock when her phone
jingled with a text. She grabbed it from her bag, and a smile spread over her face
as she read a text from Hunter:
Did you get home ok?
She texted back:
Yes. How’s your
party?
Not much fun without you. Sleep well.
Kali’s smile faded just a bit. So he
didn’t want to talk. But she was glad he reached out even though he was busy.
Her mom was watching her. “A lot of
emotions just crossed your face really fast, Kali. This guy has turned you
upside-down.”
Kali covered her face with both hands.
“I know!” Then she dropped them. “I know…”
After that, there wasn’t much to say, so
Kali wished her mom a good night and went upstairs to her room. Even though she
didn’t live here, it was still her room. Now it looked caught out of time, with
her college-self blanketing the room. For the first time, she thought it would
be better if they turned it into something else. Space was very precious in
their home, and her mom could use an office. But her mom would resist the idea.
She once said that she went and read in Kali’s room every now and again,
because it made her feel like her little girl wasn’t so far away.
Kali lay awake in her bed under the
eaves that night, wondering what Hunter was doing at the party. What kind of
party was it? Was Minx there? Did he take another girl? The thought of him
tying up Minx made her teeth clench. The thought of him having sex with Minx
made her want to scream. She couldn’t stand not knowing. What if he was fucking
some other woman “all over” like he did with her?
Now that image was stuck in her
mind—Hunter tying up Minx, who looked incredibly hot with her slinky, tattooed
body. Kali wasn’t sure she could ever let him tie her up again. All she would
think about was him doing it to Minx, who was much wilder and more experienced
than her. The thought of it made her stomach sink in dread. There was no way
she could compete with that.
She hated being compared to other girls.
And how could Hunter
not
compare her to his other women?
It was a long, fitful night and she
didn’t get much sleep.
The next morning her dad was cooking
pancakes in the kitchen when she went down. He greeted her with a hug and gave
her a stack of three, the way she liked it.
There were no worries about straying
into sensitive Hunter questions with her dad. Instead he asked about the
sundial project. She had sent him bulletins the whole way through the contest,
and he had picked out the sundial early on as a favorite. He said the design
was “a brilliant use of space.” Kali didn’t bother to tell him that she was
dating the sculptor. If it was over, she didn’t want to get her dad excited
that she was dating an artist. And she knew her mom would never tell her dad
anything they had talked about privately.
As they ate together, her dad told her
about a set he was building and painting for the next production at the
Jefferson Community Theater. After a hiatus of several years, the JCT was again
his current passion, and he mentioned the casting and directing decisions he
was involved in. He also crowed over his victory at the community board meeting
the night before, winning some point about the sidewalks that she couldn’t
quite understand.
Kali thought it was a little sad. She
had never felt that way before. She had always looked on his projects as grand
adventures, which proved that her dad was meant for bigger things. She thought
it was too bad he never got the chance to truly spread his wings, and like her
dad, she had believed that was the reason why he had never been financially
successful.
But now, having been exposed to so many
aspiring artists in New York, she realized that her father liked being a big
fish in a little pond. In fact, he liked to swim in every pond in the county
that he could find.
It was not a pleasant feeling to see her
dad in this light. And it made her realize why her mom had said: “He may not be
willing or able to take on a steady job.” Maybe her dad hadn’t been willing,
rather than able to make anything work out.
Kali spent the rest of the weekend
thinking about Hunter, torn between wishing she could see him and kiss him, and
thinking it would have been better if she had never met him. On the outside,
she smiled and talked to her old friends. They all said they were envious of
her life in New York, but strangely they didn’t ask her questions about it.
Instead they brought her up to speed on all the doings in the village, as if nothing
else existed but their own little world. She could finally see how she had
grown up cocooned in a small circle of social intrigue and betrayals.
More than anything, she noticed a
difference in her parents. They had never been close, but now they rarely spoke
to each other. They led completely separate lives.
It was sad, really sad. Now that she was
back home, Kali remembered the struggle it had been to get here, into this
house and to pay for her education—even with the scholarship and discount because
her mom worked at the college, it had been hard.
How could she choose that for her
future, for her children? When she knew the cost. She had watched her parents’
relationship deteriorate from the moment she was aware of such things. How
could any relationship survive when the struggle was that hard? When only one
person seemed to be willing to pull their weight? Even a rock-solid commitment
would have a tough time winning through adversity like that.
Her mom looked very lonely as she waved
Kali good-bye as she got on the train home.
Kali knew better than ever that the rest
of her life depended on decisions she made now. She had to be sure she didn’t
make a mistake.
