He stood and opened the sliding door and climbed out of the van. He was almost an hour south of San Antonio parked in a field. He leaned in and dragged her body out and dumped it in the field. Reaching into the van, he also tossed out her severed head and limbs. The area was crawling with wild hogs. They’d devour the remains in no time. The rest of her belongings he’d just burn. Once the authorities did find her bones, they’d be so chewed up by the hogs and elements, no why would they learn anything about who killed her.

Once the corpse was in the field, he climbed back into the van, changed his clothes and started it up. The drive home was peaceful. He’d read that most serial killers, was that what he was? A serial killer? Maybe not yet, he’d only killed two or three. Either way, he’d read most serial killers are very hyped up after a kill. Not Rodney. He felt very calm and at peace.

Once he was home, he parked the van in the garage next to his regular car and climbed out. He went inside, showered and headed back to the computer. Earlier in the day, before grabbing Jenny, he’d messaged a few other girls. One this really hot babe named Abby. Though she wasn’t rude per se, she hadn’t replied to his messages. When he was out in the field, he let her know what he thought of her behavior. In spite of all that, she still hadn’t blocked him.

Perhaps there was still hope. It was late, but the messenger feature on Backtrack said she’d seen them several hours ago. So why no reply? She was probably nervous. He understood that. It wasn’t every day a catch like him came along. He decided to send her a few follow ups. Now that he’d had a few hours to reflect, he’d calmed down considerably. Though the killing and violating a rude cunt helped some.

RODNEY: hey there, just checking if you’re ok. I miss you.

RODNEY: I just want you to know, I forgive you for you upsetting me so much earlier. Perhaps you can make it up to me later? I have a few ideas.

So he sat back and waited. He wondered why she wasn’t responding. He’d been more than fair to her. She was a gorgeous woman. No doubt she got lots of messages from guys. Once he got some rest, he’d use his hacker app to see just who has been talking to her. He had ways of eliminating the competition. Maybe she just wanted to take things slow. He loved a woman that played hard to get, he didn’t mind a bit of a chase. One thing that was certain, he always got the girl.

Chapter 6

Abby reluctantly opened her computer back up. That Rodney guy had really scared the shit out of her earlier. She wasn’t sure what she had done to piss him off so badly other than not responding. Problem was, she wasn’t even online to know she had something to respond to. He just up and lost his shit. Once she logged on there were more messages from him.

As she read, it was astounding how crazy this guy was. He forgives her? Forgives her for what? She doesn’t even know the guy. Against her better judgment she had to reply.

ABBY: Forgive me? Forgive me for what? I wasn’t even online and you flipped the fuck out. I don’t even know you. And make it up to you? Are you fucking psycho?

RODNEY: Now Abigail, you shouldn’t talk to me that way. That kind of attitude is why things didn’t work between you and Drake. He seems to think you talked down to him and were disrespectful. No man will put up with that. You got off easy by him letting you walk away.

What in the fuck? She wanted to block this guy, but it was freaking her out. Who is he? Was he a friend of Drake’s?

ABBY: Who are you? How do you know all this?

RODNEY: Remember the necklace he got you for your birthday two years ago? That cost him over two-thousand dollars. Big, heart shaped necklace encrusted in diamonds. And you pawned it. How much did you pawn it for? Two-hundred? Three-hundred dollars?

Jesus! She slammed the lid shut again and picked up her phone. She hated to call Jason, but he was much more tech savvy than she was.

     “Jason! Hey!” She said.

“Hey! You change your mind about…” he began.

“No. Nothing like that. I think I need your help. Some weirdo on Backtrack is stalking me.”

“Isn’t everyone on Backtrack a stalker?”

“Not funny! I’m serious. This guy messaged me earlier just saying hello, so I’m like yeah hi. Well he floods me with messages and all pissed off I didn’t reply right away, calls me all sorts of crazy names. So I reply to him again, and he knows all this stuff about me, and Drake and all kinds of personal information. What in the fuck? This is scary shit.”

“Ok, calm down,” Jason said. “I’m not sure how much personal stuff you guys put on your Backtrack, but if Drake did put a lot of stuff up there, then anyone could learn a lot about you just from a little skimming your page.”

“It’s not that. Just something, he knows something and I don’t know how. What do I do? Can I call the cops?”

“For what? For him being weird? Has he made any threats?”

“Well, not directly. He said something like Drake let me off easy by letting me walk away for being so disrespectful to him.”

“What is that supposed to mean?” Jason asked.

“Sounds like he means he wouldn’t just let me walk away.”

“That’s hardly a threat. Just block the guy.”

“I’m afraid to, he’s weird as hell.”

“Just block him. He’ll soon forget about you and find some other hottie to terrorize. Unless you’re just liking the attention.”

“Are you fucking kidding me? Liking the attention? I’m not that desperate.”

“Ok. Just saying. But yeah, just block the guy. He’ll go away.”

    “You really think so?”

“Yeah I’m positive. These guys are just trolls. Don’t even give him the time of day,” Jason said.

     “I guess you’re right. Thanks.”

“You want to go hang out? Take your mind off things.”

“No Jason, but thank you. I hope you’re right about this.”

     “Trust me!”

She hung up and logged back on. There were more messages from Rodney but she ignored them. She went straight to his page and hit the “block” button. Once that was done, she deleted the rest of his messages without reading what else he had to say. Part of her was curious, but it would only upset her more. After a few deep breaths she went on to looking at cat pictures and GIFs of people falling off various objects. It was childish, but it never got old for some reason.

After several minutes of browsing, a new message popped up. Now who could this be from? Abby was starting to realize why she hadn’t been on Backtrack in so long. This shit was exhausting. She clicked on the message. This from a guy named Rod. What the fuck? It was the same asshole she just blocked.

ROD: You shouldn’t have done that.

ABBY: Please, just leave me alone! You’re freaking me out.

ROD: Good. I was nice to you, tried to be your friend. Instead you ignore me, and then block me for NO REASON.

ABBY: Are you kidding? I had every reason. You’re some weird stalker and you freak me out. I’m just on here for fun. I’m not looking for dates or boyfriends. Is that so hard?

ROD: You shouldn’t have blocked me Abby. I’m not a child or a stray dog to be dismissed, ignored or just kicked aside. You’ll see.

ABBY: What are you talking about?

ROD: See you soon Abigail.

She blocked that account to, and wondered how many other accounts he had. Once he was blocked, she logged off and closed her laptop. Maybe she should have gone out with Jason, if nothing else to just take her mind off shit and get out of the house at least. But even going to have a drink with Jason could open the door to a whole list of other problems.

Her cell phone buzzed an alert. Instead of answering it, she stood and poured herself a glass of red wine. After taking a sip, she picked up the phone and didn’t recognize the number. Right away she knew who it was.

210-555-9676: You can’t block me Abby. I am everywhere.

She dropped the phone and the wine.

Chapter 7

Doing two dates in one day was risky, but Rodney felt it had to be done. This girl pushed his buttons like no one before. She was so beautiful, so sexy, the mere sight of her had a complete chemical effect on his mind and body. It was one of her weapons. Very few women had such a weapon. Sure guys see a nice pair of tits or a nice ass and get all goofy. That was normal, and then there were girls like Abby who were just stunners. Their eyes, their lips, hair, everything about them caused men to just lose their minds.

At least, if men weren’t totally with it the way he was. Rodney was aware of their methods and schemes and was immune to them. Some really put out the tricks and traps, and those were the ones who had to suffer. First, he’d try to be nice to them, then break them, and if necessary, kill them. So far, none of them broke. They were strong willed little cunts for sure.

Little did Miss Abby realize, he was messaging her from his phone on her own Wi-Fi signal just outside her home. The van sat quietly in the dark as he bided his time. Tomorrow was trash day and her garbage wasn’t out by the curb, so it was a matter of time before she took the trash out. After a few hours his waiting paid off.

The front door opened and Abby walked to the garage and grabbed the trash can, wheeling it to the end of the driveway. This was his window and it had to be quick and perfect. Rodney put the van in drive and sped to her driveway, reaching her just as she reached the curb. He put it in park, jumped out and punched her in the face as quickly and hard as he could. She never even mumbled a sound other than a grunt from the blow. She went down hard as he threw the side door open and tossed her into the back.

He climbed in back, closed the door, and handcuffed her to the floor when the sliding door flew open. A man jumped in and took a swing at Rodney. The punch didn’t even come close as Rodney ducked in plenty of time. Rodney grabbed his arm, the man was now off balance, and pulled him into the van. He slapped a handcuff onto the man’s wrist and slid the door shut.

Quickly he crawled into the driver’s seat and sped off. This hadn’t gone as planned at all. He’d been out there for hours and never saw this guy anywhere. Did he just show up? What shitty timing. The man was screaming and trying to get Abby’s attention. It wasn’t Drake, the guy looked nothing like Drake’s pictures. Plus Drake was much more rugged looking. This asshole looked like he just walked out of an episode of Gossip Girl.

“Shut the fuck up!” Rodney yelled.

“Who are you? Let us go!” The man screamed.

“You done fucked up buddy! You have no idea what you just stepped in. Who are you? You’re not her ex. You a friend of hers? Co-worker maybe? Stuck in the friend zone? So much for being the hero.”

“Fuck you pal! Come back here and take these cuffs off! I’ll kick your ass!”

“You wouldn’t like that, I promise,” Rodney answered.

The guy kept screaming and yelling as Rodney drove. Soon Abby was coming to and joining it. It was enough to make his skull explode. He hadn’t planned on a second one at all. This would either complicate things, or make them more interesting. After almost an hour, he arrived at his spot. It was plenty dark out and he felt fairly certain no one had seen him or what had happened at Abby’s house.

Rodney drove the van down the dirt road through a field and into the woods. No one would disturb him out here. He had as much time to do whatever he needed. He’d even brought cooler with snacks and water. He shut off the van and climbed in back and before the white knight could get out another word, kicked him square in the teeth. He could feel teeth crunching and snapping under his boot as the man’s head snapped back.

He bent down to and cuffed the guy’s other hand to the floor. Their legs won’t be subdued, but this was the best he could do for now.

“Now tell me,” Rodney said as he grabbed a hammer from his toolbox. “Who are you? Why are you here? And who knows you’re here?”

“Fuck you asshole!” The man yelled.

Without a word, Rodney smashed the man’s thumb with the hammer. Not hard enough to break any bone, but enough to get the guy’s attention. He figured he’d just scare the guy a bit now. Let him get comfortable or think he’s got a chance to be a hero, then unleash the real horror. Though you’d have thought he just ripped the guy’s balls off the way he was screaming over a smashed thumb.

“Oh come on! I barely hit you!” Rodney said. “Is this pussy your boyfriend?” He asked Abby.

“No! I work with him. His name is Jason. I have no idea what he was doing at my house. Looks like I had two assholes stalking me,” she said. “Why can’t anyone just leave me alone?”

“Hey! I brought you some pizza. I was worried after your phone call. Looks like I was right. Is this the freak who was fucking with you on Backtrack?”

Abby looked around and things seemed to be registering with her. Her eyes grew wide as she began to tremble. Rodney smiled at her.

“Hi Abigail. You see what happens when you’re a rude cunt? I tried to be nice to you. I was a complete gentleman. How did you repay me? Rudeness, arrogance, and then blocking me as if I were some nobody to be ignored. Not feeling so hot all of a sudden, huh? So tell me. Where is your block button now?”

Chapter 8

Jason couldn’t believe what was happening. He really had gotten Abby a pizza and dropped by, and really was concerned for her. Though he was just hoping for a tiny bit of action. He’d even brought some wine to help loosen her up a bit. Abby was incredibly hot. The fact that she had no clue just how blazing hot she was made her even hotter.

Sometimes at work it was embarrassing that he’d pop a boner just by her walking by. That hadn’t happened since high school. So he absolutely had no intentions of stopping until he hit that. Then again, the evening’s turn of events seemed to be doing the job of putting a stop to it. He hadn’t been in a physical altercation in, well, ever. Not unless you count a fight on the playground in the fourth grade as a physical altercation.
