Hale: Love Me Harder - Alien Paranormal Romance (11 page)

He got out of the car and blended in with the surrounding. He would listen to Aran this time. There would be no taunting, no chances of survival. He would make sure only two walked out of there. Unless there were other innocent females. He would make sure they were unharmed.

He jumped the high fence never setting off an alarm. There were three guards circling the property. He waited for the first as he came around the back of the house. The guard was bored, which made him careless. He never stopped to check the shrubs or the shadows the house threw off. He stepped out behind him and broke his neck.

One down.

No one noticed and he began to stalk the second guard. This one wasn’t as careless as the first. He kept looking over his shoulder as if his sixth sense was warning him. Hale stayed back and watched. His phone rang and he picked up.

“Everything is fine out here. No there is no sign of trouble, that crazy boyfriend of hers will never find her. Maybe after we’re done with her we will dump the body for him to find.”

The guard laughed at something that was being said to him. “Remember I get a turn too.”

He hung up his phone whistling as he circled towards the back of the house. The last thing he saw was death in the eyes of Hale’s beast.

Two down.

Hale stalked the third guard. He was cautious and nervous. “What the hell am I doing here?” He muttered to himself. “Ted? Mike? Stop playing and come out.”

He tripped over the body of one of the dead guards. Hales was on him in a minute his hand wrapped around his mouth.

“Try to yell and I will break your neck before the first sound comes out.”

The guard nodded while Hale studied him. He wasn’t as talented with holding a gun. Beads of sweat were running down his back and had been for the entire time Hale watched him.

“Why are you here?” Hale asked him, before he took his hand off his mouth.

“I was hired to do a job?” the guard replied, keeping his head lowered.

“What job?”

“The guy who owns this place brought his woman here today. I saw her; she was frightened out of her mind. Seems this guy…” His eyes flicked to Hale involuntarily “has been threatening her. John, the guy who owns this place wants to make sure she’s not hurt.”

Hale smiled. The guard shivered as he tried to keep his limbs from shaking.

“You almost have the story right. She is scared. Terrified is the better word. Except John, if that’s his real name, isn’t her man, I am. He had her abducted from the mall and I have come to get her back. The question is why did you take this job?”

“I had to. I’m a security guard and I lost my job. I have a family to take care of and I needed the money and he offered a lot.”

“Have you been paid?”

“No, I get paid at the end of my shift.”

“Your payment will probably be a bullet in the head. He can’t afford any witnesses.”

Hale sighed, would he never learn? “Here’s your chance to live. You can leave now and call Dare securities tomorrow where there will be a job waiting or you can die. I am running out of time, and care not what choice you make.”

“I want to go home to my family.”

“Go.”

The guard picked up the gun and began to quickly wipe his prints from it. He then threw it in the pool, and left keeping an eye on Hale until he was out of sight.

Hale sighed. He would not kill the innocent. He waited until he was sure the guard was gone then he disposed of the body the guard tripped over. Silently he walked to the front of the house blending in again. There was no sign of anything happening in the front rooms.

He went back around the house until he found a door that wasn’t locked. It must have been the one the guards were using to slip in and out of the house. He slipped in closing the door and locking it behind him.

No one in the house was innocent.

He walked the first floor not finding anyone, with a couple of strides he was up the stairs but the second floor was empty. That left nothing but the basement.

The basement door had been hidden in one of the side rooms; it was the scrapes of noise coming up the stairs that led him to it.

He pulled the door slowly open hoping not to bring attention to himself. The stairway was deep and the bottom was only half lit. He doubted anyone heard the door open. He walked slowly down looking for a guard at the bottom of the steps. There was no one.

The basement was large and unfinished with several rooms if the doors were anything to go by. He approached the first; after not hearing anything he opened it. The room was empty, inside it was an opulent bedroom the doubled as a torture chamber. His beast growled at the sight, trying to rise.

He went to the next only to find the same sort of setup. The look of the unfinished basement had to be a decoy. Nothing down here to find. It was the loud scream and the male laughter that diverted his attention to the very last door.

He reached the door quickly, the desire to bust the door in and kill everyone in the room rode him hard. He took a minute to breathe until he could get a hold of his shaking muscles. Silently he turned the knob. The door was well oiled and never made a sound. That was a mistake they would soon regret.

Tori was hanging from a rack of some kind. There was a man standing before her with a whip in his hand, with several other men looking on. Hale’s beast went insane as he howled. Hale smiled. Death had entered the room.

“Tori, where’s your boyfriend now?” the smiling blonde asked. “You know I’ll have to have him killed. No one touches my men and survives. You have nothing to say?”

“You won’t kill him, John. You won’t even get close enough to kill him and neither will your men.”

“Maybe I will send you his head when I am done. You should have picked me, Tori. I might have decided not to sell you to the highest bidder. He will be here for you in a week.”

“What did you do with Rita?” Her words came out defiant and John waved the whip in front of her.

“Careful Tori, or I will think you like pain.” He caressed her face with the whip. “I decided to keep Rita. She’s part of my personal harem. I have decided to breed her. She understands her role. That could have been you. See what you missed? Now when I am done with you, you will get to entertain my friends. Such a waste, your new owner has a tendency to break his pets. Cest la vie.”

He lifted the whip as the first body hit the floor and a scream of outrage followed by chaos hit the room.

Hale’s beast took over destroying the other three men in the room leaving only John who was holding a knife to Tori’s throat.

Hale allowed his beast to recede as he came to stand in front of them.

“Don’t come any closer, or I will kill her. What the hell are you?”

“Death.”

“Don’t fuck with me.”

“Never.”

“What are you? I want an answer this time.”

A bead of sweat rolled down John’s face, while his fingers clenched around the handle of the knife.

“I am the Created. I come from a planet not in your solar system.”

“Tori,” he screamed in her ear. “Why didn’t you tell me your boyfriend was a fucking alien?”

She gave a weak laugh. “Would you have believed me? Or maybe you would have made sure you doubled your forces. Which would have meant twice as many men dead.”

“If she dies, John, you die. If you nick her with that knife you die. Give up, it may be your only chance to live.”

“Do I look like a fucking idiot to you? You’re going to kill me no matter what I do.”

“You’re right.” Hale moved fast clutching the hand that was pressing into Tori’s neck, breaking the fingers. He pulled him from behind her and began to beat him senseless.

He dropped his body to the floor and went to Tori.

“Is he dead?” Her voice was shallow as she tried not to let sobs come out.

Hales brushed at her tears as he took her in his arms. “He’s alive.”

“Why?” Her voice shook.

“Because he knows the name of the man who thinks he owns you.”

Chapter Fourteen

Tori watched as Hale’s house came into view. Things moved quickly after he defeated John. He got her out of the house before checking her over to make sure she was fine. He wanted to take her to see Nicolas, but she asked him not to. Last thing she wanted was to be poked and prodded after all she had gone through.

Hale had taken care of John. He passed him off to one of Dante’s brothers. When asked what he was going to do with him, he simply said they’d get the answers he needed.

Hale opened the door to the car and led her inside the house.

“Tori?” He looked at her with concerned eyes.

“I just need a shower.” Her voice was soft, her eyes asking for understanding.

He nodded his head and didn’t follow immediately as she climbed the steps.

First decision to be made. Her inner voice said in a mocking tone. Where would she take her coveted shower? Sighing deeply she walked into Hale’s outer room before entering the bedroom. Her bags were sitting on the floor, she grabbed a change of clothes and headed for the bathroom.

Tori, Tori she chided herself as she threw off the dirty clothes she was wearing. She would ask Hale to burn them, she never wanted to see them again. Slipping into the shower she finally allowed her tears to flow and mingle with the warm water cascading over her.

All she wanted to do was forget this day ever happened, but that was impossible because all she could see was the fury in Hale’s eyes. She saw the way his other side tore through any threat to her. She should be scared. He wasn’t human and she had been with him and wanted to be again.

The entire time she had been held, she longed for Hale. She wanted him to sweep in like a storm at sea and clean the whole place out. She wanted him to come to her with sweet seductive kisses. She wanted him to overwhelm her mind and her body. She simply wanted him. She hadn’t cared that he was different. The fact that he could turn into a big ass protector was a plus in her book.

She came face to face with who she was as she watched John threaten her with that whip. She also came face to face with her feelings where Hale was concerned. She could love him. She wasn’t sure if it would happen or when it may happen, but she was sure she could love him.

“Tori?” Her name was called out followed by a knock on the door. “Are you ok?”

“I’m fine. How are you?”

“I am well. Do you need anything?” His voice was low sending shivers through her body.

Did she need anything?

“I was wondering if you would burn the clothes I was wearing. I never want to see them again.”

“I’ll take care of it.”

“Hale?”

“Yes, Tori.”

“Do you remember when you accused me of thinking or acting like you were the flavor of the month?”

“Yes.”

“I never meant to treat you like that. You’re more than that. You have been since I first laid eyes on you.

“Tori, I let something that happened in my past color your reactions to me. I am sorry.”

She stepped out of the shower and dried off putting on her way too comfortable pajamas she bought. Suddenly she wished for the short teddy she left in the bag.

She opened the door to find him standing on the other side waiting for her. The blush that colored her cheeks had everything to do with the look in his eyes.

“Are you sure you’re alright?”

“I’m fine, Hale. Actually I think I’m about to be better than ok.”

She walked up to him like she was a diva waiting for him to pay homage to her. She gave him a killer smile before going to her toes and pulling his head down for a kiss.

He opened his mouth and she invaded allowing her tongue to duel with his as she pulled the taste of him deep inside. Her tongue ran over his then clashed with his as her body melted into him.

“Tori, my mate.” Hale spoke into her mouth as he kissed her back.

With one move he had her up in his arms and moving towards the bed. He laid her down as the continued to kiss her as she rubbed her body against his.

He broke the kiss. “Tori, are you sure you want this?”

“I have never wanted anyone as much as I want you, Hale. I want to feel you deep inside of me. I need to feel you thrust in me thick and hot. I need to feel your passion on me and in me. Please baby don’t say no.”

“Tori.” His voice was thick with need. “I need you, mate. I need to be in you, I need to feel you hot and slick around me, welcoming me.

Lowering his head he took a nipple in his mouth and sucked. Pleasure slammed hard into her as she cried out.

The feel of his mouth on her nipple was intoxicating. She felt drunk as he slurped at her. His teeth nipped at her making her sensitive bud. Her hips were thrusting up looking for contact. The need to just grind against him was driving her crazy. Then he took the other nipple in his mouth while using his fingers to tug on the one he left.

Spasms of pleasure went through her body as he sucked and licked that nipple. His name came out as a high pitched needy sound asking for more.

His hands slid down her stomach causing little flutters of pleasure in her belly. He stopped at her waist as he played with the band of her bottoms.

His eyes lifted to meet hers as he began to tug them down. The look in his eyes made her breath catch. There was no going back. She could see the knowledge in his eyes. He was playing for keeps. She smiled and nodded her head. No matter what happened he was her choice.

She kicked her pajama bottoms off as he stood and quickly disrobed. She licked her lips —he was beautiful, all muscle and all hers. Her eyes glued to his long thick cock as it stood at attention. She parted her legs, inviting him in, asking him to see, take, plunder, and leave her sated.

He deliberately started at the bottom of the bed crawling his way up. She watched as the muscles flexed in his arms and legs. His chest drew up and down as he inhaled the scent of her. His eyes dilated as he watched her essence flow thick and heavy due to her need.

He caged her with his arms as he opened her legs wider to accommodate him. The anticipation of his possession had her heart beating wildly against her chest and her breath leaving her body in ragged moans. She needed to feel him, the desire to scream at him to hurry rode her. But the desire to feel every minute, to rejoice in it, kept her tongue controlled as she lifted her hands to caresses his thick arms.
