“What did you just call me?” the woman asked
turning Christina around. Christina saw red.

“Ah, my new assistant has arrived. I’ve
heard about your work. Elena you’re dismissed.”

Christina breathed a sigh of relief at the
arrival of the older gentleman. His eyes twinkled as he looked at
Christina. It had been a while since someone stood up to Elena, and
the young lady he was looking at gave her quite the tongue lashing.
He learned long ago; never interfere in the affairs of women. They
were deadly.

“Sir, I apologize. You shouldn’t have had to
witness that.”

“Now, now, my dear. Don’t worry about it.”
He said patting her hand.

“My name is Charles. Come, my office is this
way.” She walked and listen as Charles told her about the
company.

“Mr. Dallas is the epitome of this company.
He worked diligently and turned this company into a billion dollar
industry. We were also surprise that he took a vacation. The man is
a work alcoholic. The company is expanding at an alarming rate;
that is why our roles are very important. We are responsible for
managing all the various accounts. There are those who’d love to
take an advantage of Mr. Dallas, but our head of security is a very
insightful man and keeps a tight leash on any of those who wish Mr.
Dallas harm.”

“Have you been the only one managing the
accounts?” Christina asked with wide eyes.

“No, no dear. We do have a finance
department. I do the final review for any invoice that goes out.
However, I need a second pair of eyes. Have you ever worked in
finance before?”

“Yes, I have plenty of experience.”

“Good.” Christina watched as the older man
entered through a pair of frosted cover doors.

“Well, come along dear.” She entered the
office, it was massive. In the center of the office sat a massive
white modern sectional. Two espresso color L-shaped desk sat
opposite of each other. There was a leather chaise against the
window. Greenery brought the room to life. It was all very
modern.

“It’s gorgeous.” She said breathlessly.

“Well, the work we do can take its toll on
the mind. Therefore, it crucial that we are able relax and feel
comfortable here.”

Charles looked at the girl. She could easily
be the daughter he never had. He would take her under his wing. She
was a looker and had a look of innocence about her that one didn’t
see too often with young people. He smiled, he couldn’t believe
such eyes could be found in adults. He watched as she ran around
the office looking at everything.

“There’s coffee, a fridge. This office has
it all!” she grinned at Charles. He had twinkling blue eyes, and a
head full of hair that was greying. He had to be in his
mid-fifties, he looked like he was in great shape.

“Yes, it does,” he said petting her on the
head. Christina’s heart stuttered in her chest. She never had a
father figure before. She didn’t want to think about her father
right now. She pushed the thoughts aside and focused on the
present. She sat behind the desk.

“I’m ready. Bring it on.” She said with
glee.

Christina had been working diligently all
morning and time had flown by. Her phone rang; she picked up
stating her name and the department that she worked for.

“Sounds like you’ve been working here for
years,” a husky voice on the phone answered. Christina looked up
from her work. Charles had stepped out to get lunch.

“Matt, what are you doing?” she asked
him.

“I was just calling to see how your first
day of work was going.”

“Very busy, I can’t believe poor Charles has
been managing so long without me,” she said.

“I can’t believe I’ve managed so long
without you.” He groaned into the phone.

“You’ll be fine.” She murmured.

“Can I have a sample?” Matt asked while
palming his stiffening shaft.

“No! Matt we’re at work,” she whispered into
the phone.

“Where’s Charles?”

“He went to go get some lunch.” She
said.

“Matt? Matt?” all she got was dead line in
her ear. Stupid man. She didn’t want people to know they were in a
relationship now; otherwise they’ll start to think she fucked her
way to the top. She pushed him out of her mind, refocused on the
revenue reports.

She was so focused that she didn’t hear or
see Matt come in. He moved behind her. Christina squealed when two
large hands grabbed her breasts.

“Shh, you wouldn’t want anyone to hear you,”
he said biting down on her ear.

“Matt, not now. What if Charles comes back,”
she tried to tell him.

“I don’t give a fuck,” he said invading her
mouth. Christina moaned as the kiss was sizzling hot. Matt reached
lower, only to encounter a pair of pants.

“You little devil, you wore a pants suit,”
he said breaking the kiss.

“Serves you right for coming in here and
interrupting my work.”

“Even better, I got some milk for you right
here.” He said starting to unbutton his pants. Luckily for her they
could see Charles approaching the door. Matt quickly maneuvered
himself so that he was in front of Christina’s desk.

“That’s what you get. Maybe you should go
talk to the welcoming committee, I’m sure they would be happy to
have so milk.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Matt asked.
It was the first time he seen such a look on his little angels
face.

“Mr. Dallas, I see you’re checking on our
new employee.” Charles said entering the office.

“Charles, how you doing old man?”

“Being worked to the bone.” He said, hugging
Matt and patting him on the back. Christina watched the exchange
with wide eyes and a slack jaw. She’d only seen Matt that way with
Collum. Who was Charles? Matt groaned as he saw the look on
Christina face. He could see himself shoving his shaft down her
throat. Her mouth was in the perfect position.

“Let’s hope, Ms. Moore would be a great
asset to this company and to you.”

“She already is. She’s flying through the
reports. She’s like a genius or something.” Christina stiffen. Was
she really moving that fast. Maybe she should slow down the pace.
She didn’t need anyone digging into her past or looking for
her.

“I’m anything but.”

“My dear, I’ve got to give credit when it’s
due. Now here.” He handed her lunch.

“I’ll leave you two to your lunch,” Matt
said exiting the office. Now that he thought about it; he wondered
why Christina would hide the fact that she was a prodigy from
people. Maybe he could have Collum look into for him, but first, he
wanted to know what that remark was about.

He hurried to his office. Elena his
assistant stood as he walked past. He waved her back into her seat.
Was it him or was her skirt a little too short. Now that he focused
on her appearance he noticed her shirt was undone as well. He
apparently gave her the wrong impression. She stood up and
approached him, he watched as she undid another button to her
blouse. She moved closer to him. Placing a hand on his chest, he
stilled. Unimaginable fury swept through his veins and his eyes
became like ice.

“What the hell do you think you’re
doing?”

Elena froze; she thought she had made the
right move by finally approaching him. She saw him appraising her
body. It was what he wanted. Why was he angry?

“I thought, thought,” she stuttered out. She
looked into his eyes, and their coldness and emptiness terrified
her. They were merciless and there was something dark and dangerous
there.

“Mr. Dallas, I apologize,” she said backing
away.

“I expect you to come to work presentable.
Button your fucking shirt now! Go home.” He roared at her. This was
not what his company was about. Did he need to implement a uniform
code too? He watched as she stumbled away from him. Maybe Christina
was making him soft, especially if women thought they could
approach him now. He’d show her, and get to the bottom of that
comment she made.

Chapter 17

Christina yawned, she was tired. There was
so much on her mind. Her stupid past; she felt like was coming to
bite her in the ass, that bitch at the elevator, and on top of that
the biggest nightmare was the fact that she may be pregnant. She
was going to hurl just thinking about it. Her period had not shown
up yet. She’d all but settled into Matt’s place. The only time they
he hadn’t worn protection was when he took her virginity. She
wasn’t ovulating at the time; at least she thought she wasn’t. She
was going to have pick up a pregnancy test. She had no idea how she
was going to take it. She couldn’t do it at the house. Damn it all.
She felt like she was going to vomit just thinking about it.

Lucky for her Matt was still at the office
when she decided to leave. She just needed to make a quick detour.
Calming herself before getting out the car, she walked down the
aisle. The floor was shiny and she felt like everyone was watching
her. Taking a deep breath she fought her paranoia. She was an
adult. Finally taking a looking at the various pregnancy tests she
wondered; why did they have so many brands? Okay, she grabbed a
pack. It came with three tests. Good, she could triple check. She
brought the test were the word pregnant would display if she was
and not pregnant would if she wasn’t. She also grabbed a bag of
chips and some water, paying for items, she quickly got into her
car and made her way home.

She threw her keys in the glass bowl and
walked towards the master suite bathroom. This was the moment of
truth. She opened the box. She needed to remain calm. She heard a
noise. Shoving the test back into the box she threw it in her purse
and hid it in her closet.

“Christina!” she heard Matt yelling for her.
Hide the receipt. She tore it to shreds and dashed into the
bathroom to run some bathwater.

“In here,” she said stuffing her mouth full
of Doritos.

Matt entered the bedroom and chuckled when
he saw her face. He kissed her swollen jaws.

“Charles is raving about you and your work
ethic.” She swallowed the chips and took a sip of water.

“I didn’t work too fast did I? I really
don’t want people knowing that I’m a genius.” She said looking down
at the floor.

“Why is that?” he asked lifting her chin up
so he could gaze into her expressive eyes.

“You’re treated differently when people find
out. I just don’t want that.” She said looking away from him. She
couldn’t very well tell him that such people became targets.

“There something else I wanted to talk
about.” He asked closing the space between them.

“What’s…what’s that?” she asked him.

“I want to know about that little remark you
made earlier today.

“The water is running in the bathtub, I need
to turn it off before it over flows.”

“Let it then.”

“But Matt,” she whined.

“The sooner you tell me, the sooner you can
get to your bath.”

“I was just in a bad mood. Some stupid lady
was just being obnoxious. Her exact words to me were ‘stay away
from him.’ Only I didn’t know who she was talking about.”

Matt sent Elena to the elevator to give
Christina a warm welcome. Look like she did the opposite. A
devilish smile crept across his face.

“That means you were jealous.”

“I was not! I didn’t even know who she was
talking about.” She said in indignation. She brushed past Matt to
cut off the bath water.

“I just can’t believe you would have such
people employed there.” She huffed out. Matt wondered what she
would do; if he told her Elena was his personal assistant. He
chuckled.

“What so funny, Dallas?”

He choked on his laughter. Looking into her
eyes, there was fire there.

“Come little angel, there’s no one else who
captivates me like you do.” He whispered seductively into her ear.
Moving fast as lightening, he grabbed her and before she knew it,
one hand was cuffed to the bedpost.

“Matthew Dallas! You let me go right now!”
she roared at him. Matt stripped out of his shirt ignoring her. He
moved to unbutton her pants and she gave him a wicked kick. He
rolled away groaning.

“This isn’t funny.”

“But I’m having so much fun,” he said.

“You’re derange!”

Matt eased around her and pulled the pins
out of her hair. He watched as the silky threads wrapped around her
frame. She kicked out again, and he caught her leg. He grabbed the
hem of her pants and pulled. She tried once again kicking him off,
but it actually helped him remove her pants quicker. Christina’s
heart pounded in her chest. He was crazy. She screamed as he caught
her leg and chained it to the other post.

Matt retrieved some scissors from the night
stand. He cut her panties and the rest of her clothes off. He gazed
down at her. He had her left hand and leg chained to the bed
posted. He was going to punish her.

“I’m going to punish you.” He whispered.

“Why? I didn’t do anything Matt.”

“Ah, but you did. You didn’t drink your milk
today.”

“That’s not my fault. Charles came in.”

“Ah, such a bad little girl.” He twisted her
nipple as hard as he could. Christina cried out. There was a pool
of need already at her center. She looked at away from.

“You’re so wet. You like to play.”

Matt reached in his night stand and took the
clamps out. He placed them on each nipple and flicked them.
