Jeff cleared his throat and
lifted his hand to adjust his tie. He eyed curiously, and she wondered what he
had up his sleeve. “I guess the term ‘friends’ is a little off the beaten path
when it concerns those two, huh?” She felt her face heat at his question.

She really didn’t want to
apologize for what had just happened, but she was at work and Jeff was above
her and therefore could get her into trouble if he deemed it. Kate reminded
herself she would need to speak with
Kev
and Nate
about what was appropriate while at work. It didn’t matter that she was still
hotter than hell at the moment from their lips on hers. She had to have some
kind of control if things were going to be more than just a one-night stand.
That brought her back to the fact they actually wanted more from her. It wasn’t
supposed to be like this, but she also couldn’t deny that a thrill swept
through her at the knowledge she had affected them just as much as they did
her. When she had left this morning a sense of emptiness had filled her. It was
a ridiculous emotion given the fact she’d just met them, but they made her feel
like a beautiful woman. That was something she had never had with Jeff.

“So, uh.”
Jeff adjusted his tie again and glanced over his
shoulder. “Back to work, people!” He snapped out, and the staff looked away and
did as they were told. When he looked back at her she didn’t miss how his eyes
traveled up and down her body. “I actually came to talk to you.”

“Really?
About what?”
Something was
up. Jeff hadn’t spoken to her this much since their break-up, hadn’t even
attempted to, and all of the sudden he had something important to say to her?
She turned and showed her back to him. Grabbing a handful of papers she needed
to make copies of, she hoped he took the hint that she had work to do, despite
what he had just witnessed. When she looked into his smug face disgust washed
through her. She really should be thanking him for breaking her heart the way
he did. It had opened her eyes and let her see that she could do so much
better.

“I’ve been doing a lot of
thinking and decided that I’d like to give us another go.” For several long
moments all Kate could do was
stare
at him. She knew
what she looked like: mouth hanging open and eyes bulging out.

“You’ve decided we should go
out again?” Anger and shock swept through her.
That cocky son-of-a-bitch.

“Well, yeah, honey.”

“First of all,
I
broke up with
you
, and therefore you don’t get to say you’ve decided to give us
another go. And secondly don’t.
Call.
Me. Honey.”
She enunciated each word. Anger flared bright
and hot inside of her. How dare he think he could pull this shit with her? “I
wasn’t good enough for you back then, but now that you see I’ve moved on to
much better things, and didn’t beg for you to take me back you want me back all
of the sudden?”

A muscle in his jaw ticked
violently, but he smoothed the reaction away and smiled.

“Listen, we had something
good. I’m ready to start again.” He took a step toward her, and she held her
hand up to stop him.

“You know what, Jeff. Go
fuck yourself.” She walked past him and his shocked look. A sense of
satisfaction filled her. That was the first time she had stood up for herself
in front of him. If she was going to break rules at work and kiss Nate and
Kev
, she might as well go all-out and add a few more
disorderly items to the list. Despite all of that she felt a smile curve her
lips. Even if she lost her job, it had been so worth it. Jeff deserved a lot
worse treatment than what she just gave him.

Chapter Thirteen

Nate chuckled as he watched
Jeff storm out of the building. Lilly had sent him a text to let him know
Kate’s ex tried to start things up again. He’d known the weak slimy looking
bastard was her ex. Nate saw it in the way Jeff stared at her. There was a
possessive quality in his eyes, and all Nate wanted to do was hurt him. No one
but he and
Kev
got to appreciate Kate.

“What are you smirking at?”
Kev
asked.

Nate was surprised his
brother hadn’t gone straight back to work. When they’d first left the building
it had been a couple of hours until three. With only a couple of minutes to
spare until Kate made her appearance, Nate figured
Kev
would have found something to do. Instead, he sat beside him in his car waiting
for their woman to leave the building.

“Lilly thinks we’re hot guys
and perfect for her friend.”

“Why are you even texting
her friend? It’s a little creepy,”
Kev
said.

“She’s friends with Lilly.
I’m not going to get between friends. Besides, she’s our best bet on getting
our woman to open up to us.” Nate finished sending a response and pocketed his
cell phone.

“I can’t believe I’m doing
this.”
Kev
spoke after a couple of minute’s silence.

“What can’t you believe?
That you’re not at work?” Nate tapped his fingers on the steering wheel. He
couldn’t think of a better way to spend his Saturday than waiting for their
woman.

“What’s wrong with my work?
I do very well, and that’s all because of my work. You wouldn’t have this car
if it wasn’t for me,”
Kev
said.

Nate heard the annoyance in
his voice. “If that’s what you like to think.” He mumbled the words so his
brother couldn’t hear him.

“Speaking of the car, do you
need me to pay for any repairs or anything?”

He stared at
Kev
and wondered once again what had happened to him. “You
asked me that last night. Not everything is about money. I can handle my own
repairs on my own damned car.”

“You know, you two are
always fighting. It gets a bit tiring,” Kate said, leaning in the window. Their
woman had sneaked up on them while they’d been arguing. Nate cupped her face
with one hand and kissed her full, plump lips. She didn’t pull away from his
touch, and her moans of pleasure went straight to his dick.

Would he ever tire of her?
She was perfection and matched him in everything.

“Kissing me is not going to
get what you want,” she said, breaking away from the kiss.

“You’re being cruel. There
is nothing wrong with us,”
Kev
said.

Nate didn’t say a word and
chose to smile at her instead. He couldn’t bring himself to lie to her.

“Well as it happens I need
you to take me home. Lilly dropped me off since there seems to be something
wrong with my car. Also, this warm weather is too good to waste, and I’ve got
some work to do. Seeing as you two came to my work and embarrassed me in front
of my boss, I think it’s only fair you two make it up to me.” Nate saw the lust
in her eyes. Kate had something planned.

“Whatever you want, Siren,”
he said, ignoring
Kev
completely. His brother and his
issues could stay with him. She tapped the window and moved to the back. Nate
caught a quick glimpse of her ass before she climbed inside. Turning the
ignition over, Nate started for her house after she gave him the address. “Do
you need me to drop you off at work?”

“No, I’m coming with you,”
Kev
said, glaring at him.

“Will you two stop it? It’s
like watching two teenage boys having a go over some stupid game. Stop it,” Kate
said, scolding them. “If you’re going to argue for the rest of the day then you
can drop me off home and leave me there. I want nothing to do with you two and
fighting. I’ve had enough of it.”

Nate glanced over at
Kev
, who shrugged.

“We’ll be good,” Nate said,
heading in the direction of her home. “So that was your boss and your ex?”

He saw Kate roll her eyes in
the rearview mirror.
“Yeah.
I’m going to kill Lilly.
She told you about Jeff, didn’t she?”

“She’s your friend, and
she’s looking out for you.” Nate didn’t let on that Lilly had been in touch
with him since the incident. He already sensed her friend was in Kate’s bad
book.

“Jeff is a total ass. Thank
you. I know I should hate you guys for making a spectacle, but I hope he leaves
me alone.”

“Has that ass been giving
you trouble?”
Kev
asked, flipping open his phone.

“Do you know him?” Nate
chanced a quick glance.

“No, I don’t.”

Nate knew he was lying at
some point.
Kev
either knew Jeff or knew of him. He’d
seen the recognition on his brother’s face when they looked at each other. Jeff
hadn’t given anything away. Maybe it was just a mere coincidence, but Nate
didn’t like or believe in coincidences.

“Jeff would call it revving
the team or making sure I was getting the work done. He doesn’t think I’m good
enough at the job, but he never bloody fires me. I sometimes think it would be
easier for him to fire me. It’s probably for the best he doesn’t. I couldn’t
find another job in this climate.” Kate threw her hands up then ran her fingers
through her hair. The long raven locks had been pulled from the clip keeping
the hair contained. Nate remembered the look of her locks spread out on
Kev’s
pillow. She truly was a beautiful woman. Their
nickname, Siren, suited her.

“If he’s causing you
trouble, let me know,”
Kev
said.

“Why? What can you do about
it?” Kate asked, folding her arms.

“More than you know.”

In no time at all, Nate was
pulling up outside Kate’s house. Lilly sat on the steps leading up to the front
door with Megan sat beside her.

“You’ve phoned your
girlfriends?”
Kev
asked.

“You guys are going to be
putting on a show. I think it’s only fair after the show you put on at work.”
Kate climbed out, her gorgeous hips swinging with each step she took.

“What exactly does that
mean?” Nate asked, getting out of the car. His cock tightened at the remembered
feel of her tight ass wrapped around him.

“You’re going to clean my
yard. It needs a man’s touch, and seeing as you guys humiliated me at work, I
think it’s only fair.” She cocked her head to the side and put a hand on her
hip.
“Unless you’re afraid of hard work?”

“Siren, I’m used to working
with my hands.” Nate tore off his shirt and followed her down the front yard to
where her friends sat.
Kev
came up behind him.

“Neither am I.”

“You’ve got two willing men,
Kate. What are you doing to do with us?”

“I can think of a couple of
things,” Lilly said. Her comment made Nate smirk. He bet she could.

Several hours later
Kev
wiped the sweat from his forehead. His expensive
designer suit was destroyed, but every time he glanced behind him to where Kate
sat watching him in a pair of tight shorts and crop top, it was worth it. Her
full body was a massive turn-on. Her front and back yards were covered in grass
and weeds. Digging up some of the old plants and replanting them elsewhere took
a lot of work.

“I’m surprised you remember
what hard work is all about,” Nate said.

“Why? I was with you working
Mom and Dad’s yard all the time. We’ve redesigned their garden so much I could
do this in my sleep.”
Kev
didn’t let on the blisters
on his hands or the minor ache in his back. He figured he was getting old.

“You’ve not been around for
some time. Mom and Dad miss you. They think you work too much. I think you work
too much.”

“I do what needs to be
done.”
Kev
stood stretching out his back.

“Can I interest you guys in
a drink?” Kate asked. He turned his gaze on her and couldn’t help admiring her
lush curves. When he was done with the yard and her friends were gone, he was
taking her against the nearest surface and burying himself deep inside her
tight cunt or ass. He didn’t care which one he got as long as he got inside her
body.

“Or something much more
appealing,” Lilly said.
Kev
couldn’t help but
chuckle. Kate’s friend was a pure tease. She wouldn’t do anything to risk
hurting her friend, and being with them would hurt her. “Like taking more
clothes off and giving us girls a real show.”

“My clothes come off for
Kate and Kate alone,” Nate said, taking the drink of water Kate offered. With
his free hand his brother circled her waist as
Kev
grabbed his drink. “And then the real fun can begin.”

“I’ll drink to that.”
Kev
took several gulps of his water and admired his woman’s
breasts. He wanted them naked and in his mouth.

Wrapping an arm around her
waist,
Kev
pulled her close. Nate let her go. Lilly
and Megan whistled and clapped their hands. Rubbing his cock against her
stomach
Kev
dropped his lips to her neck, sucking in
the flesh. “I want you badly. Will you give yourself to me?”
