Fuccckkk
, that feels
good.”

Having never done this before because Greg had said
only sluts and prostitutes did it, Sammy was nervous.

She was happy with Slater’s praise. Letting
one of her hands rest on his chest she took more than just the head.

Slater groaned, and she licked his cock and
moved her mouth up and down until she got into a rhythm.

Sammmyyy
, I’m going to
come. You have to stop, please.”

She hummed around his dick, and Slater roared. He
took his cock from her mouth and flipped her so she was on all fours. Her mouth
came crashing down on her pussy, and she shivered as he licked her clit and to
her anus. His hands spread her arse cheeks, and she bit her lip as his tongue
probed her core.

Sammy gripped the sheets as a quivering in her built
and spread. One of his hands let go of her arse, and his fingers came around to
rub circles around her clit. She closed her eyes as a burning in her grew.
Slater growled against her pussy, and she crumbled, letting herself go as he
squeezed her arse and pushed down on her nub.

Slater lapped at her and moaned as she came hard
against him. Her arms didn’t hold her weight, and she fell down burying her
face on the bed. Teeth sank into an arse cheek, and she squealed lifting
herself back up.

“No time to rest. It’s time to ride my cock.”

Slater moved between her spread legs until they were
face to face. His hands came to rest on her waist and then guided her to his
cock. She didn’t take her gaze from his as Slater lined his cock up to her
core. Sammy came down on his dick slowly. When he was seated fully inside her,
she sat enjoying the full feeling.

She rose and fell back down. The flames came
instantly back to life, and she basked in the feeling of being the one in
control. Sammy set an easy pace watching the blissful look on Slater’s face.
She bounced on his cock until her speed wasn’t fast enough.

Slater grunted, and his hands came to rest on her
waist once more as he helped her with the strokes and the pace. “Play with
yourself. Touch yourself. Please, beautiful.”

Cupping her breasts she ran the pads of her fingers
over her nipples and tweaked them as his cock eased out. Slater’s eyes
hooded,
and a guttural moan left his lips as she trailed her
fingers down and rubbed her nub.

Slater started slamming his hips up to meet her, and
she ground herself against him. Sammy knew she was close. She let out a squeal
as a finger rimmed her anus before it pushed in.

“I’m going to take you here.” Slater’s muttered
words as his finger pushed further in to her virgin arse had her screaming in
pleasure and coming undone in a quivering mess.

“Slater.”

Slater’s snarl turned into a roar as he pushed up
into her and yelled her name, his cum shooting up into her.

Spent, she dropped to Slater’s chest and basked in
the ecstasy. “
Mmm
, that was
sooo
good. I feel perfect now.”

Slater chuckled, and she felt his dick slip out of
her. “I’m glad you feel better.”

“I do. I’m going to sleep now. I love you.”

Slater kissed her head. “I love you, too.”

Chapter
Ten

Brock didn’t get home until early hours of the
morning. He was happy with what they had accomplished. Breakaway precinct needed
a clean out. It was full of corruption and many more things than they originally
thought.

Just the sight of Sammy had made the weaker in the
bunch break, and once Internal Affairs had interrogated them they’d told them all
they needed to know. Brock’s skills as a shifter and being able to smell lies and
other emotions helped the case, and it had helped the investigation along.

Brock was one step closer to making his mate safe.
He’d proved today that he could protect his mate and find any threats to her.
He deserved a mate.

Opening the front door he shut it quietly, careful
not to wake his angel. As he walked down the hall to their room a naked Slater
came out of it, and Brock noticed that he looked furious.

“Outside now, I’m not killing you in the house.”

Brock could see as Slater started to grow and shift
that he better get outside and find out what was going on.

Not turning his back on the predator he
backed to the door, opened it, and got out as Slater pushed him further back.

“Move back. I need it out of hearing distance.”
Slater snarled at him.

Brock picked himself up and jogged backward until he
was a good distance from the house. “What’s all this about, Slater?”

Slater huffed, and Brock could see he was fighting
to stay human. “Don’t tell me you’re so stupid you don’t know what the fuck you
did to Sammy,” Slater yelled at him.

“I just eliminated a threat to her.”

A fist came at him hitting his nose.

“You’re fucking kidding me, aren’t you? You
terrified my mate. Brock, she ran from the bloody barbecue feeling betrayed that
you did that to her, you fuckwit. You put Sammy in front of people that
mistreated and terrified her, and from what I heard want her dead for
information she has on them.”

Brock noticed how Slater said his mate and not
theirs. He knew Sammy had been upset, but Slater had seemed angrier than Sammy.
“She will forgive me when I tell her that I have put Breakaway precinct to
rights.”

“How the hell are we related? How can you not see
what you did was unforgivable? It’s taken us months and months to gain Sammy’s
trust, and in one night you fuck it up. I had to call her back from her hiding
safe place. I never want to do that again. It broke my heart to see her curl in
a ball shaking and rocking in a trance. I will never get that image out of my
head.” With that Slater let his bear take over, and he attacked him.

Not caring about his clothes Brock changed into his
bear. He knew Slater was going for the kill.

A big fat bear claw batted him to the ground with
strength Brock didn’t know Slater had. He got up and they wrestled, but Slater
was stronger than he’d ever been. Slater’s teeth ripped into his neck, and Brock
grunted, fighting to get away

Slater had him on the ground, and he struggled. He knew
in that moment he wouldn’t win. Brock was going to die.

“Slater, let him go now.” Sammy screamed at them.

Brock struggled to see Sammy in his last moments.
She wore a robe, no shoes, and she ran towards them.

“Don’t, Slater. Don’t kill him. I get to be angry at
him, but don’t kill him.”

Slater’s hold eased on him. Sammy came to them both.
She held the robe together and glared at the both of them.

“Change back now.”

Neither he nor Slater changed. Sammy placed her
hands on her hips and stomped her foot.

“Change back now, both of you, or so help me God I
will do something neither of you will like.”

Slater’s bear mouth came off him, and they both
changed back, the change healing him. Slater was on top of him, his arm across
his neck cutting off air flow.

“Let Brock go and move away now, Slater.” Sammy
spoke slowly to Slater, but she stared daggers at Brock. “What the hell is
going on?”

Slater shrugged. “I was killing him.”

Sammy shook her head. “And you.” She stepped forward
and pointed at his chest. “What were you thinking?”

“I didn’t start it.” Brock knew he sounded like a
little kid, but he was tired. “I came home and come in the door, and he
attacks.”

Arrrgghhh
,” Sammy yelled
at the sky, before taking a deep breath and looking back at him. “That’s not
what I’m talking about. I’m talking about yesterday. Why on earth did you put me
through that hell? I can’t believe you did that to me. How could you do that to
me? Brock, you knew how I felt about that precinct. What you did was cruel. They
want me dead. I haven’t told their secrets for fear they would do what they
threatened.”

Brock felt
his heart crack as she wiped tears from her eyes. He could smell the pain and
hurt coming off of Sammy in waves. He had no idea what to say. He stood there naked
and stared at her, unsure of what to do.

When the minutes ticked by Sammy sobbed, “Answer me
please.”

Brock was too scared to answer, so he shrugged.

Sammy slumped and moved further from him. She
wrapped her arms around herself and in a guttural voice mumbled, “Why? Why? I
hate you. Why did you do this to me? Please answer me why.” She repeated
herself until she was hoarse.

Brock looked to Slater, and he could see his eyes
shining with his own tears as he watched their little mate almost collapse with
her pain.

He
gathered

Sammy
to him, and she cried out. “Don’t
you touch
me.
Don’t you ever touch me until you tell
me why you did what you did?”

Clearing his dry throat Brock debated if he should
tell her the real reason or the reason he told himself. He glanced at Slater
and knew he wouldn’t be any help. “I’m not good enough for you. I’ve never been
number one at anything, or two or three for that matter. Mother always told me
that another shifter would and could always do it better than me. I’ve never
been good enough for anything. I remember when I first mentioned you to Mother
eight
or so months ago she told me to leave you be. A human
would do better than me. So I thought if I could keep you safe better than anyone
else I wouldn’t feel so inadequate.

I
would know that if I found out all those that hurt you and taught you how to
defend yourself no other man or shifter would be better for you than me. I’ve
done the opposite. I’ve proven I’m not good enough no matter what I do. I’m not
better. I haven’t protected you from pain and hurt.”

Brock could see Sammy’s eyes scanning his face. “You
put me through last night because you wanted me safe and because you feel like
you contribute nothing to this relationship?
Because your
mother is a stupid, spiteful bitch?”

“Um, yeah.
I
also wanted to make sure what happened to you doesn’t happen to anyone else.
Don’t you want those who hurt you brought to proper justice?”

Sammy nodded and yanked her hands out of his hold.
“Why haven’t you told me this before?”

“It’s not something I wanted you to know. I have
already failed.”

“Ha, I don’t know about fail, but pissed me off
majorly, that is a given.” Sammy held his hand and took a deep breath slowly
letting it out. “You are not inadequate. You’re a huge part of this
relationship. You’re the only one who’s had the patience to teach me to drive.
You were the only one before last night who could calm me when I have a panic
attack and go to my safe place. But put aside all that, you are the man I love.
One of the men I love. I love you
and
Slater. I don’t know any other men who would have been as patient as you two or
as supportive. I talked to Gwen, and she said shifters don’t usually wait as
long as you did to take your mates. Most shifters are like your brothers. They
take what they want and damn the consequences.” Sammy closed her eyes and
pulled him along. “I’m still fuming mad and hurt at what you
did,
Brock, but I can see where you’re coming from. I have felt what you felt of never
being good enough with Greg. I know you feel what you did was for me. I’d know
if you were lying because Slater is pissed.”

Sammy turned and winked at Slater. “There are some
benefits to having two men, especially when they’re angry with each other. Come
on. Let’s go inside. I need you both to hold me.”

Brock saw out the corner of his eye Slater’s smirk.
He took deep breaths in and relaxed when he couldn’t smell pain or hurt
radiating out of Sammy.

Following her as she pulled him inside he thanked every
god he could think of that she forgave him and still loved him. Brock promised
he wouldn’t do anything to hurt her again, and he would learn to communicate
even if it killed him.

Sammy dragged Slater and Brock to their bedroom.
She’d awoken in bed alone and gone in search of Slater, only to see out the
window of the upstairs lounge room two big bears attacking each other. Knowing
instantly who they were she had gone out to separate them.

She still felt the pain and betrayal of what Brock
had done, but in the morning light she could see that what he’d done was the
right thing if it saved other people. When the boys changed back and Brock
finally explained why he’d put her in the situation yesterday, she needed to
know they both loved her and still wanted her. Sammy also wanted to make sure
Brock knew he wasn’t inadequate. He was important and an equal in their
relationship.

Letting go of them, she undid her robe and climbed
onto the bed. “Come cuddle me.” She couldn’t help the huge smile spread over
her face as two naked men got on the bed. Slater came on her left and Brock on
her right.

Turning to Brock she snuggled
into him. “I’m still furious at you, and my trust will take a while to come
back. Don’t stay quiet anymore. Talk to me, or if not me, talk to Slater. What
you did was wrong. Breakaway precinct being there was sprung on me after I’d
been there and thought I was safe. I’m telling you now, Brock, I will never go
to a police barbeque ever again. That’s a promise.”
