You know I tried to be the bigger person so that Briana and I could at least be able to live together without trying to kill each other, but that bitch really tried me tonight and now we are both sitting here talking to this cop.

Let me tell you what happened. After I got back from hanging out with Ki, Mal, and Taja, I called Jeremiah up to see what he was doing. He asked to see me and of course, I went to spend time with my baby. Anyway, he walked me back to my dorm as always and Briana and a new girl she was hanging with were sitting outside of the dorm. I gave my man a hug, and kissed him goodbye. I guess Briana saw it, and felt some type of way so her and that camel looking bitch walked up to us and said “So Jeremiah you just gonna disrespect me in my face like that when I was just with you the other night and you told me how much you love me and how much you want us to work out?”

Jeremiah shook his head and said, “Briana don’t start this shit again, you know damn well we were not together the other night and why would I tell you all of that and Chanel and I are officially together?”

Briana looked at me and said, “So you choosing this ugly bitch over me?”

“Watch who you calling an ugly bitch Briana!” I said.

Instead of responding with words the bitch had the audacity to slap me and I’m gonna keep it real with y’all, this bitch slapped the hell out of me. Why did she do that? I tried to kill that girl. I punched her smack dab in the mouth and when she hit the ground I did not stop. I started dragging her like a lil’ rag doll. Jeremiah kept pulling me off her but I kept getting loose and her friend was just standing there like she was in shock. Someone must have called the campus police because before I knew it, two men in uniform were grabbing me and Briana was being picked up off the ground bloody as hell. So now here we are sitting here talking to the cops with me on one side of the room and Briana on the other. Thank God for the witnesses outside that saw the whole thing because they were ready to lock my ass up for assault.

Just as the police was taking my statement, I saw Kior flying out the elevator coming straight to me. She slowed up when she saw that I was still talking to the police; she stood to the side patiently waiting. The police advised one of us to sleep somewhere else just for the night to cool off and gave the both of us a warning. After the cops left, Ki came over and gave me a hug while trying to figure out what was going on. I gave her the run down on how everything happened then I asked, “Hold up, how did you know what was going on in the first place?”

“Your next door neighbor, Jaecia came and knocked on my door to let me know what was going on. She said that she saw the police talking to you and Briana when she was on her way to her room. She wanted me to make sure you were good,” she said.

“Yeah I’m good, I’m probably going to request a new roommate though because after tonight I don’t think we can be roommates. I tried to be cordial with her but obviously her jealous ass don’t know how to be cordial.”

“You going to be sore in the morning. You better take you a good hot shower and get in the bed because tomorrow is going to be a long day. I’ll give you a call in the morning!” she said as she headed up to her room.

Dear Diary,

It is almost the end of the first week of school and I am happy. I can’t wait for the weekend so that I can relax. Ahmir and I are still spending time with each other but there is this other guy that I have met named DJ Spin. He’s cute but I’m not so sure about him. To be honest I low key want to see where things go with Ahmir. Even though he is saying that he wants to get serious with me, something is telling me that he’s not ready. Tonight the crew and I are going out to Club Pure for college night and I am excited!!! I gotta find something to wear ughh!! Anyway I gotta go to class I don’t want to be late!! Talk to you later!!

I rush to math class with only three minutes before it starts. I find a desk to sit in and pull everything that I need out of my shoulder bag. As the professor is taking the roll, the door opens and in comes Zaria. I did not know that Zaria had the same math class as I did. When I came to class Tuesday, I didn’t see her at all. She came and sat in the desk next to me and after the professor finished calling roll, he asked was there anyone’s name he missed.

Zaria raised her hand and said, “Hi, I just enrolled in this class so my name is not on the roll.”

“Can you bring me your schedule please,” he said.

Zaria walked to the front of the class and handed the professor her schedule. He looked at it and wrote her name on the roll. She came back to the desk, sat down and gave me the biggest smile ever.

“Hey girl, I did not know you had this class but I’m so glad you do because I hate math. This is not one of my strongest subjects, you might have to help me get through this,” she said laughing.

“Shit I’m not good in math either but I’m going to make sure I pass because I can’t take this over,” I said to her.

“Right!” she said.

As the professor is teaching, I take my phone out to look at it to see if I have any messages, and I see that I have two text messages and one miss call. One of those messages is from Ahmir and the other one is from Tionne. I open up the message from Ahmir first.

Ahmir: Hello beautiful I hope your day is going well! I hadn’t talked to you today and wanted to check in on you. Hit me up whenever you get time maybe we can get lunch or something.

Me: Hi, I’m in class right now and lunch sounds fine I will give you a call when I get out

After I responded to Ahmir’s message, I opened up Tionne’s message. I haven’t talked to her since I was with her and Neveah.

Tionne: Hey Kior... I haven’t talked to you since we were all together, give me a call when you can. Hope everything is okay with you, that whole night is still fuzzy to me so we definitely have to catch up.

Me: Hey Tionne, yes girl we have to get up later on today. I saw where you called me the other day but I’ve been so busy, I forgot to call back. I will see you later. I’m in class at the moment hopefully we will not be here the whole time today.

Tionne: Okay sounds good to me!!!

As I was sending my messages, I noticed Zaria cutting her eye down at my phone. I thought to myself,
damn this girl nosey as hell
! I looked up at her and she just smiled at me and turned her attention back to the professor. She took out a piece of paper and wrote something down and passed it to me.

I fold the paper back up and put it in my notebook confused as to why she is giving me her number. This girl is weird; she’s nice but still weird. I don’t want to be mean to her but I’m going to ask her why she gave me her number though. Fifteen minutes later, the professor gave us work to do for the following week and dismissed the class. As I was gathering my things and walking out of class, Zaria called my name while running up beside me.

“Hey Kior! I wanted to see if you wanted to go get lunch before I go to my next class,” she said.

“I’m actually getting ready to meet with my friend to go get lunch with him,” I told her. “Umm Zaria, why did you give me your number in class today?”

“Oh, I just wanted you to have it just in case you need me for something, like for class,” she said.

“Oh okay,” I said still a little confused. “Well, I will talk to you later.”

“A’ight girl,” she said.

As I head back to the room, I call Ahmir to see where he is because I was beginning to get hungry.

“Hey there!” Ahmir said when he answered the phone.

“Hey are you busy? I wanted to see if you were ready to go get lunch from somewhere because I am hungry.”

“I’m not doing nothing just chilling in “The Yard” right now. Where are you, I’ll meet you. Do you know where you want to get something to eat from?” he asked.

“Well, I’m walking towards “The Yard” now and I was thinking that we could walk to the Chick-fil-a that is right across the street from here,” I said.

“That’s cool. I see you I’m walking towards you now.”

“I see you.”

I hung up the phone and walked towards him. He walked up to me and gave me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. I didn’t know what to do because this was the first time he kissed me even if it was just on the cheek. It’s like an electric shock went through my body when he touched me.

“Man! You look and smell so good I just want to eat you up,” he said laughing.

I laughed too, “You so silly, come on boy.”

We walked and talked while going to Chick-fil-a. When we got inside, I looked at the menu and could not decide what I wanted. Chick-fil-a was one of my favorite places to eat because I love their waffle fries. I decided to get a six-count chicken nugget meal with lemonade and he got a char-grilled chicken club sandwich meal with a coke. He paid for both of our meals and because it felt so good outside we decided to grab an outside table.

“So Kior, how was class?” he asked.

“It was fine I guess. There is this girl that just enrolled in the class but she’s a little weird to me,” I told him.

“How so?”

“I don’t know she just seems overly nice and she wrote her number down on a piece of paper and handed it to me. Another thing is throughout class I would catch her looking at me. I started to ask her what she was looking at but I’m trying to learn not to say everything that comes into my head,” I said.

“Damn she does sound a little weird but hell maybe she wants you. I know I sho’ do! You know they say girls love getting that girl on girl college experience,” he joked.

“Whatever! I don’t straddle the fence, I love men too much,” I said laughing.

We finished eating our food and chatted a little more before heading back to campus. My phone started ringing, I looked at it and it was Chanel.

“Yes Chanel, what do you want darling?” I answered.

“Damn hoe! No hey, hello, hi! Anyway what you doing?” she asked.

Laughing I said, “I’m with Ahmir right now headed back on campus.”

“Awww, you with your boo thang! I’m going to let you go then. I just was calling you to tell you that they are having a Meltdown in “The Yard,” she said.

“A Meltdown? What the hell is that?” I asked.

“It’s like an outside party, there is a DJ and all that plays music,” Ahmir said.

“Oh okay, well we almost there so I’ll see you in a sec,” I told Chanel.

“A’ight, I’m out here with Jeremiah at our original spot.”

“Okay,” I hung up the phone.

When we got to “The Yard” it was so live! It looked like a big block party; everyone was dancing and having a good time. When we walked over to Chanel and Jeremiah, she was all on him dancing like they were the only two out there. I really wasn’t in the mood to dance so I just stood back and watched everybody. As I was looking on, I spotted Tionne, Neveah, Zaria, and some other girl standing in the crowd dancing. I told Ahmir I would be right back and walked over there to where they were.

I walked up behind Tionne quietly as possible and got in her ear, “I heard you was messing with my man hoe!”

She turned around looking crazy as hell, “Kior! Girl you so crazy, I was about to go off on you with your silly self.”

She gave me a hug and Neveah came over and gave me a hug too. I haven’t known these girls that long but they are very good friends.

“Kior girl, I haven’t seen you since the other night! You okay?” Neveah asked.

“Yep, I’m good I was just busy that’s about it,” I told her.

By this time, Zaria and the other girl came over to where we were standing also. Zaria looked at me and smiled.

“Hey again Kior. I didn’t know you were out here. Oh, this is my roommate Natasha, Natasha this is Kior we are in the same math class,” Zaria introduced.

“Nice to meet you,” Natasha said.

“Same here. I didn’t know y’all knew Zaria,” I said to Tionne and Neveah.

“Yea we met her through Natasha. Her and Neveah have a class together also,” Tionne said.

“Cool,” I replied.

“Well, I’m about to go back over here with my friends, I will talk to y’all later on. Are y’all going out tonight?” I asked.

“I’m not sure yet but I’ll let you know if I do,” Neveah said.

“I’m not, I have an early class in the morning,” Tionne said.

“More than likely Natasha and I will be in there. We were talking about it last night,” Zaria said.

“Well, if y’all do I will see y’all in there,” I told them.

“Okay,” they all replied

I walked over to where Ahmir was sitting and continued to watch everybody dance like they were at the club instead of a college campus. I noticed the area where the DJ was set up and saw that the person DJing this event was DJ Spin. I decided to go speak to him so I told Jeremiah I saw someone I knew and walked over to the DJ booth to speak.

“Hey, I saw you over here and decided to come speak. I didn’t know you were DJing out here,” I said.

“What’s going on love? Yeah, I always DJ at all the events they have here so you will be seeing me a lot. Are you coming out to Pure tonight to kick off college night?” he asked.

“I sure am. I’m going to let you get back to work but I’ll see you later at the club,” I said.

“A’ight ma, see you there,” he said.

I decided to go back to my room so I could take a nap because I was very exhausted and if I wanted to go out and have fun later, I had to get my energy up. I went back over to Jeremiah and told him I was going back to the dorm to take a nap. He said that he would walk me back. As we were walking back, the feeling of being watched came over me again. I looked around just to be sure but like always, I didn’t see anyone. When we got to the dorm, Ahmir gave me a hug and told me to call him when I got up from my nap. I walked in my room and Asha was sitting on her bed watching TV. I chatted with her for a few minutes before getting under my covers and drifting off to sleep.
