“Don’t need one. I’m an alien, remember.” He winked at Jade, making her laugh.

“You know, there are many aliens in this country. Like Pam for example, the Filipina friend of mine. But she’s got an ID. Maybe not the illegal aliens, though.”

“You’re referring to the immigrants. I am not an immigrant. You could say I’m just a…tourist.”

“You still need an ID. How did you get this car?”

“Gave the car salesman an early bonus.”

“You bribed the salesman with your millions.”

Kyr glanced at Jade. Her hair was finger-brushed.
So fucking sexy.
He looked away before his dick could poke a hole through his jeans. “Had to.”

“Do you really have millions?”

“Check the glove box.”

Jade opened the compartment in front of her. She pulled out a wad of cash. “Wow. You didn’t steal this, did you?”

“No.” He looked at Jade and waited to see more of her reactions to his money. None followed her initial wow. She simply put the money back and closed the glovebox.

He took exit 175 and followed the road to Bothell, leaving the glittering lights of the big city of Seattle behind them. He continued driving until they reached Saint James Apartment. Jade lived on the second floor.

“And how did you know where I live?”

Kyr glanced at Jade then flashed her a grin. “I’ve been watching you.”

“You’re creeping me out, you know that?”

“But deep inside you, you still want to trust me. I can see it in your eyes. You hardly think ill of anyone. That’s what got you into trouble when you were younger.”

He was right. “So you didn’t just follow me, you studied my background. That makes you a horrible creep.”

“No. I’m an alien who knows how to use a computer. Your juvie record is easy to find.”

“Oh lord. That’s embarrassing. You checked everything about me?”

Disbelief coated Jade words. He felt like a jerk for intruding into her private life, but it was necessary. “I apologize.”

“You had to do it, right?”

Kyr nodded. He wouldn’t snoop if it weren’t important.

“I wonder if Steve did a background check on me online, saw that I’ve been in jail and then took off. Couldn’t blame him. I would probably do the same thing. And then there was Larry…”

“They are losers, baby.” He didn’t want to hear anything about her exes. It made him angry. “Shall I park here or in the back?”

“Why are you parking?”

“I thought maybe I could go up for a cup of coffee or tea.”

“Are all aliens like you? Do you always invite yourself in people’s houses in Rhyn?”

“No. Only if I’m thirsty.”

Jade laughed, then shook her head. “In that case, you can come in. No alien business, though.”

Kyr chuckled. Since the attack on Rhyn, he couldn’t remember the last time he had enjoyed a good laugh.

Chapter Three

Jade shouldn’t have invited him in, but her stupid tongue wouldn’t cooperate. Instead of saying no, she’d said yes. Something about him compelled her to say and think the opposite. Kyr was beyond handsome and she was attracted to him. And her guts told her there was more to him than just being good looking. Okay, yeah, he’d already proved that he was a true alien, but she could feel more.

She watched Kyr move around her apartment, checking her unfinished paintings, touching the couch, inspecting her tubes of paint. He made her one room studio looked even smaller. When he stood by her bed, she noticed a green tinge on his arm. She’d noticed his skin color while they were in the car. Now the color looked different. Was it spreading, or just her eyes playing tricks on her? Jade stood closer to Kyr. He surprised her by moving to the far side of the room.

“You have a charming apartment.”

“Thanks. I won’t be offended if you say the truth, you know.”

“Okay. You’re apartment looks like it got hit by a tornado.”

“Yeah, a tornado named Jade.” She decided to drive head on into the issue at hand. “So when did you figure out I am the one who could help you?”

“When I saw you dance a month ago.” He leaned on the windowsill, each hand planted on his sides.

“Yeah, but there were other dancers there. What made you think that it’s me you need?”

“My color.”

“What?”

He showed her his arms with his palms out. “I turned green.”

Jade stared at his arms. His skin looked darker now. “You mean your whole body turned green like that?”

“Yes. Like the color of my eyes.”

Highly curious, Jade took a few steps closer to Kyr. It was amazing. She could actually see his green color spread across his arms and neck. “So it wasn’t my eyes going goofy on me when I noticed your arm changing color.”

“Yes.”

“How did I make you turn green?”

“I turn green when I feel excited toward a female. Standing this close to you, I feel warm all over. I want to f—”

Jade covered his mouth with her hand. “I get it.”

Like spilled red wine on a white tablecloth, his face now resembled the green shade of a forest. She let go, but Kyr grabbed her hand. “I’ve offered many women before you, touched them the way I am now, but none of them had this same effect on me.”

“None of them?”

“Yes. Only you, Jade. Please don’t be afraid. I’m not going to harm you.”

She’d just met this guy, but fear wasn’t what she was feeling right now. Curiosity, bewilderment, shock perhaps, but not fear. In fact, she liked him, though alien he might be. How in the world was that even possible? He was a freaking alien that turned green when in heat!

It could be that she’d met enough assholes in her life that a green alien looked nice, decent, and harmless. Not to mention, he was one cute green alien, more so than Kermit the Frog. “I believe you.”

Kyr took Jade’s hand and kissed her palm. Instantly, her senses started reeling. The feel of his mouth against hers was so warm it ignited every living cell in her body, alerting them.

The last time she’d felt like this was during Halloween. She was only fifteen. Her friends egged her on to eat all the candies she had collected in her pillowcase. Her heart pumped so fast. Her friends said she was experiencing a sugar-high. And right now, her blood-sugar level was really off the chart. She had never been this excited before. And Kyr was only kissing her palm, her wrist…forearm…

“Jade, will you help me?”

“I—I don’t know. What do you want me to do, exactly?”

“I need you to keep the Rhynian’s line alive.”

“What? Are you suggesting what I think you are suggesting?”

“Carry my seed, love.”

Kyr licked her palm. Her pussy throbbed. Green lines like seaweed lined his face.

Oh, my God.

“I just met you not even an hour ago. I like you, but it’ll take me at least a week to come up with an answer. Even married couples still plan pregnancy and raising a family.”

“I don’t have time to wait, Jade. My father gave us all enough time to find a woman. My time here is almost up.”

“There are more of your kind here on earth?”

“Yes. Two of my brothers are here, too.”

“How long have you guys been here on Earth?”

“Me, three years. Cor two and Syd one. We’re doing this on rotation. My time is up this year.”

“What do you mean?”

“I have to go back, love. Whether I found my match or not. My youngest brother, War, will come here to replace me and I will take up his position as an adjutant. We serve under our father, who is a senior officer.”

Weird. But for some odd reason she didn’t like the idea of Kyr leaving. “How long do you have left here?”

“A month.”

Jade nodded. She still had reservations about Kyr’s offer. After all, what he just told her was too farfetched. But why feel sad about the thought of Kyr leaving? Damn it. “What about the women on your planet? Can’t you just ask them?”

“I wouldn’t be here if there were women capable of bearing a child left in Rhyn.”

Sadness flittered across Kyr’s face. It was brief, but she saw it. “I’m sorry.” She truly was. Absentmindedly, she moved the lock of hair from his forehead to the side. “So you’re in a bind. I am, too.” That was true. Having a baby had never crossed her mind. Getting married wasn’t even in her short list. She couldn’t even cook. What would she do with a baby? “How about…well, couldn’t we just have sex? I mean, I’ll do it for fifty grand. How about that? And you find a woman willing to carry a baby for nine months next time you come back here.” Soon after her suggestion left her mouth, she regretted it.

Kyr opened his legs and pulled her inside. Since the windowsill was low, they were eye to eye. “I want you to be the one who carries my baby. I don’t think I’ll be able to serve my father knowing that I already found the woman I want and then left her without even trying.”

Jade could see the absurdity of the situation. She met an alien who asked her to carry his baby and do it on the same day they met.
Unreal.
But she couldn’t toss him out or ignore his request. Lord, she must have inhaled enough fumes from Sugar and Spice to shrink her brain. “You’re playing with my conscience,” Jade whined. “Couldn’t we just date for a while? Be my boyfriend?”

“I can be your boyfriend and the father of your babies at the same time. Jade, I believe every child born with you as a mother would bring love, inner peace, harmony, luck, balance and protection. Aside from those qualities, they’d be as beautiful as you. Even your name is beautiful.”

“But what would you do with our baby—sheez, I can’t believe I’m talking about babies—after she or he is born? Take the baby with you back in Rhyn?”

“Not until she is ready.”

“And if we have a boy?”

“We’ll try again until we have a girl.”

“Oh, Lord. So boys are not important?”

He grinned. “Of course they are. Girls wouldn’t be able to procreate without the boys.”

“This is too much to take in.”

“You’ll be highly compensated. You won’t have to worry about anything.”

Jade stared at Kyr. “What if I couldn’t get pregnant? Will you wait and try over and over?”

“No. We’ll know right away.”

“How?” Kyr took her other hand and pulled her closer. It didn’t escape her notice that his face was now solid green. And he still looked awesome.

“You’ll have my mark.” He rubbed the insides of her arms before resting his hands on the rise of her hips.

“What mark?”

“This.” Kyr raised his hand with his palm facing her. At first, she couldn’t see anything and then there it was, a mark. It was an intricate mark like an Egyptian hieroglyph, but not. She couldn’t really tell what it was. She’d never seen anything like it before.

Jade traced the lines. Kyr puffed his breath out. “Did I hurt you?”

“No. You did the opposite.”

“Oh,” she bit her lower lip and then resumed tracing the beautiful design. “What does it mean?”

“Frivae Ya Razthrin. One and True.”

“It’s beautiful. You said I’ll have this mark if I agree with you?”

“If we match.”

“And the only way to find that out is if we make love.”

“Yes.” Slowly, Kyr lifted her tight mini-skirt to expose her thong. “Would you like to find out if we are?” His hands continued to go up, slithering inside her tank top.

Jade’s heart was beating so fast, she could hear blood pumping in her ears. “What if I don’t get it?”

“I know we will.”

“If I get pregnant…Jesus. Things are going to be complicated, you know. I don’t think I’ll just give you my baby. I mean, money is good, but…”

“Jade, let’s talk about the particulars later.” Kyr found her hard nipples and rolled them in between his fingers before cupping her breasts. “You’re a beautiful woman, Jade. And I want you, with or without my mark.”

“Kyr…”

Kyr smiled, his hands pleasuring her breasts. “I love the feel of your skin.”

“I love what you’re doing.” She wanted him to kiss her, too. But he didn’t seem to be in a hurry. She’d never reached her peak just by having someone touch her breasts. This could very well be the first.

Then he snaked a hand down below. Jade bit her lower lip in anticipation.

“So smooth.” He circled his hand around her ass to touch her crack and then went deeper to graze lightly on her tight rosette before the tip of his finger touched her pussy. “Fuck, baby. You’re wet.” He ran his fingers back and forth, spreading her juice between her ass and pussy.

Lord, is he thinking about fucking me in the ass?
She’d never done it before, but right now, the idea sounded wonderful. “Hmm…” His hold on her breast tightened. Pain and pleasure shot through her. “Kyr…” She cupped his face and leaned closer for a kiss. Kyr, however, moved his face to kiss her hand instead. Oh, God. She wanted his mouth on her, everywhere.

“Take off your shirt, love.”

With shaky hands, she lifted her shirt and tossed it on the floor. Next, she unhooked her bra. It, too, landed on the floor. Kyr’s hungry gaze added to her excitement. Delicious heat pooled in between her legs.

“Lovely.” He pushed her breast up, then licked her nipple at the same time his finger dipped deeper inside her pussy.

Jade gasped from the exquisite pleasure. “Oh, God.” She spread her legs wider, giving him more access. She watched Kyr open his mouth and take in as much flesh of her breast as possible. He had closed his eyes. Pure undilated pleasure registered on his face. She gripped his hair and then thrust her breast, offering him more. She loved having her breasts sucked—one of the many things she really enjoyed about having sex.

Then he moved his hand around to cup her pussy.

“Yes!” Jade whimpered as she felt her pussy opening. Slowly, Kyr’s fingers slid inside her. She moved her hips in time with his fingers.

“You like this, baby?”

“Yes.”

“Me, too.” Kyr cupped the back of her neck and then pulled her close for a kiss.

Jade moaned as he slipped his tongue inside her mouth. He kissed her while he continued his assault on her throbbing pussy. The gentle pressure and rubbing he was doing on her clit raised her already high temperature. She gripped his hair and returned his kisses.
