How to Remember Anything: The Proven Total Memory Retention System (27 page)

 Zodiac Sign
 Audionym
 Sagittarius
 satchel

Since there are twelve months and twelve signs, we’ll place the audionym for each month at its numbered location on the clock.

1.
January: aquarium, Aquarius
2.
February: pies, Pisces
3.
March: airplane, Aries
4.
April: tar, Taurus
5.
May: gem, Gemini
6.
June: can, Cancer
7.
July: leaf, Leo
8.
August: fur coat, Virgo
9.
September: library, Libra
10.
October: scoreboard, Scorpio
11.
November: satchel, Sagittarius
12.
December: cap, Capricorn

By remembering the location of the audionyms on the clock, you can remember to which month each sign belongs.

All the dates of the signs begin between the nineteenth and the twenty-third of the month, so there is no need for a system to remember the first digit of the date. Each of the numbers nine (for the nineteenth) and zero through three (for the twentieth through the twenty-third) is changed to an audionym.

19.
Nine is changed to
knife

20.
Zero is changed to
cereal

21.
One is changed to
wand

22.
Two is changed to
tuba

23.
Three is changed to
tree

You don’t have to memorize the date a sign ends, because it always ends on the day before the next sign begins.

Each of the audionyms will have either cereal, a wand, a tuba, or a tree associated with it to tell you the date on which the sign begins. You already know the month on which each sign begins by knowing where its audionym is located on the clock.
