She headed outside. Bypassing the agents who smiled at her, Storm whistled as she walked back to her unit. The agents of her unit applauded when she entered.

“When we think you can’t top yourself, you do,” someone called out. “We love your zany self, Storm.”

She bowed and winked at them. It was all in good-natured fun. The agents of the assassination unit liked to tease. Storm went into her office and waited as Allure and Harmony came in.

“What was that about?” Allure demanded.

“I finally realized why Killian bugs me so much.” Storm sat in her chair and put her feet on her desk.

“Why?” Harmony asked.

“Don’t be naïve, Harmony.” Allure smirked. “Aunty Storm finally found her libido. And it has the hots for Killian.”

“What?” Harmony frowned then stared at Storm. She opened her mouth then closed it before blurting out, “You don’t date.”

“I’ll be starting soon. That is, if Killian gets his butt in gear.” Storm smiled. “I drive him crazy already. Imagine when it is up close and personal. Preferably naked.”

“Aunty!” Harmony said.

“Please, Harmony. Like that’s the most outrageous thing she’s ever said.” Allure smiled. “’Bout time you figured it out.”

“Wait, you knew?” Storm pointed at her. “Why didn’t you tell me?”

“Or me?” Harmony pushed at Allure’s shoulder with her own.

“Really, Aunty Storm, if I’d told you to jump Killian’s bones, you would have asked which weapon to use. You wouldn’t have even thought I meant sexually,” Allure said then pushed back at Harmony. “If you hadn’t been so hot and bothered by Lennox, you would have picked up on it.”

“Maybe. But damn, Lennox is…mmm.” Harmony grinned lasciviously.

“That is my cue to leave.” Allure winked at Storm. “Good hunting.”

“I’m not trying to catch anything. Just a few dates and getting lucky, that’s all,” Storm said.

“You might not be looking for anything but Killian seems to me like a man who isn’t a casual kind of guy,” Harmony said.

The sisters looked at each other then left. Storm stared at where they’d been and dismissed what they had said. Killian wouldn’t want to settle down with her. They both would have fun. The thought made her smile, and it was there through the rest of her day.

Later when she headed home, she sang along with the radio. Almost an hour later, she pulled into the driveway of her home in the Bronx, Storm was singing at the top of her lungs along to Mary J Blige as she belted out her song
Alone
. She exited her Midnight Garnet Infiniti QX60 and paused to run her hand along the shiny paint on the door and studied the rest of the gleaming car. She closed it then, whistling the tune she had been listening to, she went up the steps to her front door. She was inside in moments and sang the lyrics, doing a dance as she set down her bag. Still swaying, Storm went into the living room. She flipped on the lights and stopped as she spotted the man sitting in the window seat. Storm filled with desire looking at the masculine beauty waiting for her.

“Breaking and entering.” She walked over to him. “You surprise me.”

“Just as you did to me when you did the hula.” Killian smiled.

“Liked that, did you?” She paused a few steps away from him. “The usual thing for a man to do when a woman lays down a challenge to pursue her is to call to set up a date.”

“I’ve been waiting too long for the niceties of mating rituals.”

“Whoa, who said anything about mating rituals?” She knew he didn’t mean that lightly. She’d been around enough other beings to know when one stated mating, it didn’t mean the same as it did for humans.

“You can try to hide it from yourself but you know what we are to each other. That kiss sealed what we are.” Killian tilted his head to the side and stared at her. “I know you felt the earth move.”

Storm laughed. “A joke from you. That is funny.” She sobered and her eyes narrowed. “Wait a minute. You’re saying we’re mates and you knew we were? Then why have you been avoiding me?”

“I wanted to give you time to catch up. Didn’t want to overwhelm you with my masculine prowess.” Killian’s lips twitched.

“Funny man.” Storm moved closer. “I really am not sure about having a mate. Call me old-fashioned, but I believe in the wooing and all that before declaring you are mine and I am yours.”

“Okay.”

She frowned at his ready agreement, ignoring the pang of regret that filled her. “Not that I want to be wooed. I just want some fun.”

“Okay.”

She scowled as he continued to agree.

“But, Storm—”

She braced herself for his saying something to piss her off.

“We can go on a date later. For now—” He reached out, yanked her down into his lap then kissed her.

Storm whimpered and opened her mouth. He again laid claim to her through his kiss that befuddled all her senses. Killian moved her so she was straddling him. She got wetter as she clenched her pussy, imagining him inside her.

God, if his kiss does this to me, what will his taking me do? Come to Storm, baby.
Storm cupped his head and held him, sucking in his tongue.

Killian made a rough sound in his throat causing a vibration in her mouth. She wrenched away, gasping, eyes wide. Killian’s gaze was lit with flames and Storm licked her lips, tasting him.

“Now.” With a thought, Storm stripped him of his clothing.

She moaned as she viewed all his heavenly naked flesh. Storm smoothed her hands over the ridges and planes of the muscles of his chest. She tweaked his nipples and Killian’s purr of pleasure made her pussy tighten and release, waiting for him to take her. She continued her trek across his skin, learning him by touch. Storm lowered her head, pressing her nose to his skin and inhaling deeply. That familiar scent of musk and earth after a rain filled her. She wallowed in it now that she could do so without having to be careful he didn’t see her.

“Storm.” His hoarse voice made her heart rate increase.

Killian slid his fingers into her hair. He didn’t control her movements, more like he followed her as she touched and scented his skin. Storm was lost in the sensation of him and each inhalation only heightened her need. The tingle of power along her skin caused her to shiver then cool air hit her as he removed her clothing. She gasped as Killian’s callused fingertips plucked at her nipples and arched into his touch.

“Killian.”

“That’s one of the sounds I want from you,” he murmured in a guttural tone. “And this.” He slid his hand down over her belly and along her bare mound then plunged deep into her wetness.

“Ahhhh…” Storm yelled before moaning deep in her throat.

“Again.” Killian moved his fingers in and out of her. He widened his legs, spreading hers as he did. He continued his caresses and Storm rocked forward, wanting deeper penetration.

Suddenly he withdrew his hand then lifted it to lick his fingers clean. Killian held up his other hand and materialized a condom then slid it onto his hard shaft. He gripped her hips and moved her up. Storm grabbed onto his forearms and closed her eyes as he brought her down onto his cock. She clenched, enjoying the slide as he filled her. Killian stroked his hands up her back. Storm rocked against him, moaning at each motion of him inside her. Killian kissed her ear then nuzzled behind it into her hair. He licked the shell of her ear.

“Yes.” Storm groaned, moving her head to give him better access.

Killian shifted forward, stroking into her channel. Tightening her inner walls, Storm hissed at the glide and whimpered as the passion slowly built with each movement as their bodies headed for the pinnacle of pleasure.

“Storm… So good. Want you so much,” Killian spoke against the skin at the underside of her ear. “Look at me.”

Storm opened her eyes and he raised his head to meet her gaze. His amber eyes, flickering with flames, had a fierce possessiveness—her wetness increased. She wanted to be his and make him hers.

Sex, Storm. It’s just sex, remember that.

Killian tightened his hold, moving his arms under hers and up into the back of her hair. He gripped her body to his then thrust harder and faster. Storm dug her fingernails into his shoulders, whimpering as he took her. Her stomach tightened and she moaned long and loud as she came in a rush of desire. Killian continued to move, prolonging her pleasure.

Killian enjoyed each clench of her pussy as she came. He moved faster, spurring on her release and rising toward his own. His sac tightened and his heart felt like it would pound right out of his chest.

“Storm,” he roared as he came pushing into her.

“Killian.” She released a soft exhalation, holding him as he came.

Shuddering, Killian let the pleasure flow from him then slowly calmed before registering that she was saying something.

“Yes. That’s it, let it all go. Let me have it.” Storm growled then said, “Mine.”

Killian smiled, lowering his head against the crook of her neck. He kissed it gently and stifled his chuckle. Storm might claim she didn’t want any wooing or anything else, but her instincts wanted to claim him. She was already his—he’d just wait for her to figure it out. He snorted as he imagined the fireworks when she did. Storm was so much trouble, but he was a man who could handle anything she came up with.

“What is that noise about?” Storm murmured, yawning.

Killian didn’t answer. Instead he read from Storm’s thoughts where her bedroom was. Using his powers, he made them fade then they came back to form in the center of her bed. Killian lay back on the plush mattress, holding Storm’s ass. Storm snuggled against him, placing a kiss on his shoulder then licking the skin. She moved, sliding off him, and looked at him. Killian sent the condom to the wastebasket and waited for her to speak. Storm’s jaw moved and he could tell she was worrying her inner cheek with her teeth.

“I don’t know what to do about you.”

“Ditto.” Killian touched the tip of her nose. “Why don’t we just go with the flow?”

“Somehow I don’t see you as someone who does that.”

Killian didn’t let her know her instincts about him were right. He already knew where this would end—with them together. It was just a matter of how they got there, as well as how stubborn Storm would be in resisting him. Killian smiled.

“That smile makes me think you are up to something that will affect me. I’m suddenly rethinking if getting involved with you is a good idea.” Storm looked uneasy.

“Too late.” Killian pushed her onto her back on the bed and rolled on top of her. With a thought, he donned a condom then slid into her.

Storm’s breath caught and her eyes filled with passion. Killian stroked slowly, watching as she came unraveled from his taking.

You’re already mine. It’s only a matter of time before you give yourself into my keeping.

He moved with deliberation, driving them toward release.

Killian turned down the burner of the stove and took out the last of the bacon then placed it over the paper towel on the plate.

“Someone made themselves at home,” Storm said moments before she touched him on the back.

Killian turned and kissed her. She opened, sucking in his tongue as she stroked her fingers on his spine. Storm pulled away and stared into his eyes.

“Love a man who can cook.” She slapped him on the ass. “Be careful I don’t keep you chained to my stove so you can feed me.”

“I love to cook. You better be careful what you promise. I’d enjoy being kept by you.” Killian winked. “What would be my uniform as your houseman?”

“Naked.” Storm kissed his bare chest briefly.

“Sounds good to me.” Killian stroked his finger down the bridge of her nose. “Only if you’re naked too.”

“Of course.” Storm rubbed her hand over his cloth-clad ass then squeezed before releasing him. “Now feed me.”

“Before that, would you be free tonight to go on our first date?”

“We’re doing things backwards.” Storm chuckled.

“We are doing them in perfect order.” Killian smirked. “At least we already know we’ll get lucky after the date.”

“Humph, so you assume. But I could be hard to get.” Storm sniffed, raising her head haughtily. “It’ll take more than buying me dinner to get me naked.”

“And we’re back to naked.” He leaned close to her ear. “Which you will be, after our date.”

“Sure of yourself.”

“Sure that you find me irresistible.” He winked again.

“So arrogant.” She laughed softly.

“Let’s have breakfast and you can tell me about my arrogance and how you find it so sexy. Have a seat.” Killian led her to the table then held her chair and seated her.

“More like there are moments that your arrogance makes me want to belt you.” Storm smiled.

“I know. Your restraint is admirable.”

Returning to the stove, Killian plated the bacon and the other food he’d already prepared before taking it to the table. He sat, using his energy to move the rest of their food to the table, then he watched her.

“Pancakes, eggs and bacon.” Storm glanced at her mug. “And tea, which is made, I am sure, as I enjoy it. You’re going to spoil me then I won’t be able to live without you.”

Soon when you say that you will mean it.
Killian leaned toward her and Storm moved to meet him. He kissed her gently, staring into her eyes and seeing what he knew was his future. Things between them would progress the way he wished, and Storm would be his.

Chapter Four

“Are we there yet? Where are we going anyway?” Storm’s tone was teasing.

Killian slid his hand around her waist and guided her along the path. “No matter how many times you say that or ask, I’m not going to tell you where we are going.”

He squeezed her gently, holding in a laugh. Although his initial plan had been to head home then come back later for their date, Storm had derailed it. He’d ended up spending the whole day with her. After breakfast, they had gone back to bed, unable to keep their hands off each other. Then, when they had finally made it from the bed, they had spent the day relaxing, watching movies and just being in each other’s company. Storm had protested them leaving the comfortable warmth of her house, saying their spending the day together was enough as a date for them. He’d disagreed and had coaxed her to go on their date.
